How can one store mess up so much? First of all, selection was quite limited and when we finally settled on pieces we liked it took another hour (on top of when we were browsing and selecting) just to put together the paperwork. After everything was signed and done, they tried to place our order only to realize that they can't deliver to Long Island (which was the first thing we asked them when we entered the store). Later that day we get a call that, they figured out a way to deliver the furniture, but we will have to come back next week and show them ID in person. We come back and look over the order information, only to realize that they ordered one nightstand instead of two. Next of, a couple days before our delivery was scheduled we got a call that the coffee table we ordered was no longer available. Come delivery day (almost a month later), they not only delivered the wrong colored sectional, but the completely wrong bedroom set after we specially pointed out every piece we wanted to the manager in person! They completely ruined my new apartment. Update: The situation has (finally) been resolved and all of the proper furniture was delivered today. I have to give a huge thank you to the management for working to quickly resolve everything. read more

The sales rep was very helpful , nice and pleasant . Will recommend to family and friends

Most DISTURBING experience at this store today. Have been shopping for a modular sectional comparable to others we've seen in stores. 1st sales rep came over, mumbled something about the price, then walked off. After seeing that none of the sets were quite what we were looking for and we started to head out, we noticed a woman moving AWFULLYCLOSE to us. We took 10 steps....SHE took 10 steps - then would quickly look down at her phone as if she was "just looking at texts". I allowed that to continue for a few more minutes until I doubled-back and sat on a sofa behind her. She stood completely still because now I was behind her and my two companions were ahead of her....which way does she go?? I finally stood up and walked right past her, where ANOTHER sales rep called out to us asking if we were helped by anyone. I told her "No, nobody helped us but your other sales rep has been following us around the store, NOT offering any help....just creeping around behind us!" The OTHER sales rep said "Oh - she's the manager". The "manager" (name tag said DANA) started frantically saying she wasnt following us, she was just hanging back in case we had any questions - then - very aggressively and disturbingly - followed us OUT of the store and confronted us as we headed towards the more welcoming Home Goods. She told us she didnt want to disturb us because we seemed like we were having a discussion. I pointedly told her that she neither identified herself nor offered any assistance. It appeared (and felt) as if she was profiling our group of 3. She nearly jumped up and down pleading that she wasnt "treating us in any particular way". However, her defensive language and mannerisms were equal to someone who has just been accused of...acting a certain way towards a certain type of person. It was a very uncomfortable experience. I'm not exactly sure what about us would have given DANA the impression that we needed to be watched. I'm certain we would not have been able to fit a livingroom or bedroom set into my purse. Moral of this review, steer clear of this store unless you're "just like" DANA. I sincerely hope the owner of this establishment reads this review and checks the security footage for today to check DANA's complete lack of professionalism along with her aggressive personality. FOLLOWING US OUT OF THE STORE!! In seeing many of the previous reviews, it doesnt seem this location can afford many more negative reviews. read more

I went into the store on Saturday thinking I might buy a new dresser. The sale staff hovered 20 feet away from us the entire time we walked around the store. It was not conducive to me trying to browse the store. You have got to tell your sales staff to back off and let us shop. I walked out because of the actions of your sales staff; it turned me off to buying anything. read more

If i can give this store zero stars I would do just that. The customer service in the Staten Island store is possibly the worst I've seen to date. First, they delivered a couch that was full of mud, grease and dirt. Even the delivery man was horrified. Then they gave me an issue exchanging the sofa for the new one. When we agreed on a new sofa they stated it would take months to be delivered. Further, they didn't offer anything off the dirty sofa to be kept and professionally cleaned because we didn't want to be without a couch. When I decided to return the pieces all together so we did not have to deal with the company any longer they even gave me an issue giving my refund. It has been over 2 months and i haven't received my money back. Specifically a manager named WADE was exceptionally rude and horrible to work with. He specifically stated to me "this sounds like a you problem". If you decide to shop at this store, you been warned. read more

Guy at store wasted my time .. tells me the chair is a floor sample and can buy it for 1/2 price . I tell him will be back for it. Just need to get my truck. Came back to store and tells me a different tune ... completely wasted my afternoon for nothing .Salesman are shady . Avoid at all cost read more

I am writing this review for my parents. If this could be no stars I would give less than that! We purchased a mattress and the base from this store. We were victims of a bait and switch scam by Hanadi Afana the salesperson and the extremely rude and unprofessional manager Mike. I am not sure how he is actually a manager and is supposed to be there to help when all he did was give us the run around and is full of lies. We are disgusted by this whole store. After 2 months of many calls to the store and customer service the issue is not replacing the bed frame with the one that we actually ordered since they sent us the wrong one, we were told we would not be charged for pillows and we were, we were told the mattress protector would be half price and it was not. We were promised brackets for the bed which we never received. DO NOT SHOP HERE ....YOU WILL BE RIPPED OFF AND REGRET IT. read more

My mom and I went in to look at some furniture. We really had no intention of purchasing furniture today but we did. Elizabeth was our sales rep and she was very helpful and very nice. She took a lot of time and had a lot of patience with us. It was a pleasure to shop in Ashley today and we will definitely go again in the future!!! read more

Friendly and patient saleswoman, Marina. She took the time to look into different options I was potentially interested in. Thank you.

Iliana was very helpful at the Staten Island store. She got us a great price on the couch we bought and was knowledgeable! Would shop with her again read more

I purchase a sofa sleeper bed and the 5 year protection program from them. The sales people are wonderful and so helpful to take your money. So literally two days ago I used the sofa bed for the first time and the metal frame snap causing damage. The sofa bed is unsafe and unusable. So now these so call wonderful people that gladly took my money aren't willing to help me. So I been calling numerous numbers and speaking to number people in regards to this matter and since is not a furniture issue and only internal. I was told they will NOT cover it. That I will have to put more money into it. To get it fix out of my own pocket. THIS IS BY FAR THE WORSE CUSTOMER SERVICE I EVER HAD TO DEAL WITH. HOW ARE THEY STILL IN BUSINESS WHEN THEY SELL UNSAFE FURNITURE. LUCKY no one was hurt. But it seems I might have to take it up a chain if this isn't correct. read more

Nina was absolutely fantastic! Thanks again for helping us pick out a bedroom set for our son. Professional and lovely-

I would give this place a 1 zero. The whole store has people who work there that are liars. Hanley sold me a adjustable bed and he said it would have all the bells and whistles. It came with nothing. When I called him he said I gave you the top of the line...Yeah ok. I went into the store a few time to get things straightened out and all I got was a run around. Especially from Mike the rude supervisor. Also at the time they said their system was down and I couldn't be contacted...well i read a few other reviews and guess what there was so many that said Ashley claimed that their system was down. I would not buy another thing from this store..with such poor service. All they want is your money and they don't care how they get it. What a sad situation. So if I were you I would stay away from this store!! Not worth the headache you will get when your purchases are wrong. read more

Extremely unprofessional customer service and delivery. You can't seriously believe using the "truck broke down" excuse will work on me 3 times in a row. Ordered this couch well in advance. Sales rep was nice but ordered the wrong piece for my couch, waited 2-3 weeks for the couch with a wrong piece to be delivered, had to wait for a truck twice to come pick up the wrong piece which took 2-3 weeks, now waited another 2 weeks and it was supposed to be delivered today but never got a call and truck never showed up. Called the store, phone rang for 15 minutes, a lady picked up, put me on hold for 5 minutes, said truck "broke down" so it was canceled, then literally hung up on me. Now I got a weird looking short couch (because its missing a middle piece) for my party this weekend to show the family my new house. Highly doubt a new delivery will be rescheduled within a few days. I'm livid. read more

Outstanding customer service. The sales personnel go beyond their call of duty. They were sympathic to my emergency situation after losing my home due to a fire and reacted quickly. They even used their personal vehicle to deliver furnishings to my temporary home, so my family can be comfortable. I will not shop for furniture anywhere else other than the Ashley store on Richmond ave in Staten island, NY. The entire staff including the management deserve recognition for what they did for me and my family. I am forever grateful. Maritza Velez- Staten Island, NY read more

I needed a new mattress and visited a few stores before arriving at Ashley. I was greeted by a wonderful saleswoman named Mona. I love my new mattress and thank you to the wonderful store and staff. read more

Dino was a great help! Very friendly and enjoyable experience with him. He provided great service!

Ayana was so patient and helpful with helping us find the perfect couch for our very specific lists of wants. The team also worked to bring the price down making it a better deal than your typical "discount" furniture stores. Great first time customer experience! read more

Worse customer service ever in Staten Island location. I was supposed to get a delivery today 04/06/22 for a bed but didn't receive any notification about timing so I called and spoke with Katelyn , she said due to weather it got canceled and asked to call customer service for rescheduling. I asked for a number second time because it wasn't clear first time, she started shouting at me for no reason. Another lie from her, when I called customer service they said their delivery truck got broke that's why they canceled the delivery. Very disappointed from customer service. Thinking to cancel the order. read more

Anna and Ryan were very helpful In picking a sectional! Spent time with us and helped us find the right piece!

They have the worse staff at this location. The customer service people there who check on your orders are extremely rude. They are in the sales business you Would think they would hire staff who would represent this store and make this experience pleasureable. Additionally there timing on when furniture is expected in the warehouse is false. They give you the runaround how the warehouse will call u when it arrives and to be only told it isnt in yet wait another week. They didnt say that when they are taking ur money. I will never purchase another thing at this location. read more

I would have to say this store is a scam and I dont like how they do Business. They tell you one thing in the store then when you already purchase Their story changes. I bought a mattress Over 2,000 dollars. The guy told me I had 30 day days to try it. I dont like the matress its way to hard and now they are telling me I cant change it. This place is huge and neatly kept. Staff were professional and available as needed. I was assisted by Charles. He was great! He literally carried an accent pieces to the area of where the living room set was at to give me a visual. He had me view items on the big screen, went to the back opened the box and had me look at the item before making a decision. He went beyond for us. Now I await for the delivery and will update the review then. read more

I ordered a twin mattress and a protective cover from Ashley of Staten Island. I told them that I'll pick up both from the store. They called to pick up stuff. I came to the store and picked up both, the mattress and the cover. But when home I discovered that while mattress was OK - twin, the cover was King, although the box said 'Twin'. Ok, error happen, so I came back and returned the cover. They promised to replace it within a week. Well, it's been more than a month and every time they don't call me I need to come to the store (30 min drive one way) just to hear - 'sorry, next week'. Finally I was fed up and came to the store to cancel the order for the cover. During this month my credit card company renewed my credit card. So, when I presented this new card to the customer service person (Candice) she refused to process the cancellation. I had this situation many times - with Costco, Home Depot, even Shoprite. They are not asking for the credit card, but only for the receipt. Any way, I am very unsatisfied and have opened the dispute with my credit card company. P.S. Oh, and BTW they still charged me for delivery $39.99 although it was me delivering their stuff to my house. What a fraud! read more

Worse business transaction I've ever had. Made a order in October. My order still is not complete. Had to wait 2 months for my box spring. Now I'm still waiting for my chest dresser. The first one was sent broken. Waited a month for the next one. This one is crack. Still waiting on someone to complete this transaction. They wanted to send a repair man to my house to fix the crack ! I paid for new furniture not broken. Thank you for taking my $2200 ! Never will I do business here again. I suggest no one go to this store. They don't answer the phones there either. When you go to ask questions, they give you the run around and tell you they're going to fix the problem then don't. read more

If I could give this place 0 stars I will. The worst customer service on the planet. We bought two beds, a couch and a love seat. We spoke to the store and were advised they would not take the couch but would move it outside and would take the beds. When the delivery men came they refused to take the beds and said they would not move the couch. They were also extremely rude about it as well. We spoke to someone on the phone and they said oh the store must have misinformed you. Well that's a pretty big thing to misinform someone about. We made them take everything back and we will never do business with this company ever again because of this experience. read more

I am a front line worker for NYU Langone Hosptial in New York. I am extremely pissed off at Ashley I purchased a sofa & loveseat & ottoman from where I live in Staten Island which the manager at the location was great. I spent over $2,000 and which everything is still under warranty. I have an ottoman that the cushion is creasing which nothing has been on it nor has anyone sat on it to make it look like that. Never the less I have a loveseat that everytime I sit on it is making a bad cracking/creeking sound. They had somone come out to take a look at it and literally looked at it for 2 minutes and said nothing he can do took his pictures and went on his way and wrote in his report normal wear and tear what a Big Fat Lie. I took off work seeing patients for them to not even look at it for 2 minutes. I spoke with a main customer service manager which was rude and seemed not to care and told me that it is normal wear and tear when I had provided pictures/video that there is a defect and is under warranty. I will never ever order from them again and or tell my family friends to order from you guys again. Any healthcare/front line worker out there do not order from them they do not stand by there product even if its under warranty what a disgrace and they treat healthcare workers horrible.. read more

If there was a way to give this place no stars I would. I have never written a negative review before. l am disgusted with this store and will NEVER shop here again. I've been of a customer of this specific store for a very long time. I've never had an issue in the past. Service was always good and the staff was always helpful (besides the women and men in the back) so that hasn't changed. I ordered an entire bed set with dressers and side tables in early November. We were told things were a little behind because of covid and that it wouldn't be in until end of December- January at the latest. Which I totally understand due to covid! We purchased the set and decided to wait! Here we are end of March and still no bed set or dressers. The most upsetting part isn't the late delivery. It's the disgusting rude humans who work in that store. I've never in my life dealt with people so nasty. Every time I have called to check on the furniture a nastier person answers the phone- They ask things like ok well " you want your money back" or "what do you want us to do". I recently called to speak to a manager who told me it was now showing a date for April 7th. (It's different every time I call) ... When I asked her if there was anything she could do she rudely told me they could Drop the $150.00 delivery fee on a 3,000 bedroom set! I told her another piece of my Ashley furniture had recently broke and maybe since this had been such an inconvenience she could help me with finding a way to fix it (which I would have even paid for) and she couldn't even give me the time of day. I recently purchased my first home and was looking to decorate most of it with Ashley furniture because I loved their stuff! Now I would never step foot in there! These people are the nastiest people I have ever dealt with in my life. I WILL NEVER shop here or with Ashley ever again. read more
