How can one store mess up so much? First of all, selection was quite limited and when we finally settled on pieces we liked it took another hour (on top of when we were browsing and selecting) just to put together the paperwork. After everything was signed and done, they tried to place our order only to realize that they can't deliver to Long Island (which was the first thing we asked them when we entered the store). Later that day we get a call that, they figured out a way to deliver the furniture, but we will have to come back next week and show them ID in person. We come back and look over the order information, only to realize that they ordered one nightstand instead of two. Next of, a couple days before our delivery was scheduled we got a call that the coffee table we ordered was no longer available. Come delivery day (almost a month later), they not only delivered the wrong colored sectional, but the completely wrong bedroom set after we specially pointed out every piece we wanted to the manager in person! They completely ruined my new apartment. Update: The situation has (finally) been resolved and all of the proper furniture was delivered today. Not this store particularly but Ashley furniture customer service is atrocious. Rude unqualified customer service reps working for Ashley behind the scenes. Their warehouse reps from regency furniture were rude and condescending to me when I waited for months with patience for my furniture after they sent me half my order. Edwin Rojas the apparent top manager in customer service as he told me, and Samantha spoke to me in a disrespectful manner blaming me for their inconsistencies and not delivering my furniture order all together. They belittled my intelligence and proceeded to put the blame on the customer. Furthermore, After how rude they treated me I proceeded to tell them about the damage that was caused to my brand new home due to the delivery. The delivery guy took pictures of the damage and sent it to his company and told me someone would contact me regarding the damage caused. No one contacted me and when I spoke to Samantha, in a condescending tone she stated it's too late for me to claim damages. I proceeded to ask who the delivery people were because they seem to have records of every other detail. However, Samantha stated they don't know who the delivery people are and they don't have record of that. That is horrifying to hear being I am a woman and was alone in my house while strange men entered my home who I thought were employed by Ashley furniture. My trust was put in Ashley furniture and they put me in possibly harmful situation sending men they don't know and have no record of into my home. The end result was Samantha hanging up in my face because she stated I the customer am wrong for Ashley messing up my furniture order. I would never in a million years recommend Ashley furniture. Unfortunately, the sales people I worked with were great and should go work for a different company that is reputable and don't treat their customers like garbage after taking their money. read more

Most DISTURBING experience at this store today. Have been shopping for a modular sectional comparable to others we've seen in stores. 1st sales rep came over, mumbled something about the price, then walked off. After seeing that none of the sets were quite what we were looking for and we started to head out, we noticed a woman moving AWFULLYCLOSE to us. We took 10 steps....SHE took 10 steps - then would quickly look down at her phone as if she was "just looking at texts". I allowed that to continue for a few more minutes until I doubled-back and sat on a sofa behind her. She stood completely still because now I was behind her and my two companions were ahead of her....which way does she go?? I finally stood up and walked right past her, where ANOTHER sales rep called out to us asking if we were helped by anyone. I told her "No, nobody helped us but your other sales rep has been following us around the store, NOT offering any help....just creeping around behind us!" The OTHER sales rep said "Oh - she's the manager". The "manager" (name tag said DANA) started frantically saying she wasnt following us, she was just hanging back in case we had any questions - then - very aggressively and disturbingly - followed us OUT of the store and confronted us as we headed towards the more welcoming Home Goods. She told us she didnt want to disturb us because we seemed like we were having a discussion. I pointedly told her that she neither identified herself nor offered any assistance. It appeared (and felt) as if she was profiling our group of 3. She nearly jumped up and down pleading that she wasnt "treating us in any particular way". However, her defensive language and mannerisms were equal to someone who has just been accused of...acting a certain way towards a certain type of person. It was a very uncomfortable experience. I'm not exactly sure what about us would have given DANA the impression that we needed to be watched. I'm certain we would not have been able to fit a livingroom or bedroom set into my purse. Moral of this review, steer clear of this store unless you're "just like" DANA. I sincerely hope the owner of this establishment reads this review and checks the security footage for today to check DANA's complete lack of professionalism along with her aggressive personality. If i can give this store zero stars I would do just that. The customer service in the Staten Island store is possibly the worst I've seen to date. First, they delivered a couch that was full of mud, grease and dirt. Even the delivery man was horrified. Then they gave me an issue exchanging the sofa for the new one. When we agreed on a new sofa they stated it would take months to be delivered. Further, they didn't offer anything off the dirty sofa to be kept and professionally cleaned because we didn't want to be without a couch. We were victims of a bait and switch scam by Hanadi Afana the salesperson and the extremely rude and unprofessional manager Mike. I am not sure how he is actually a manager and is supposed to be there to help when all he did was give us the run around and is full of lies. We are disgusted by this whole store. After 2 months of many calls to the store and customer service the issue is not replacing the bed frame with the one that we actually ordered since they sent us the wrong one, we were told we would not be charged for pillows and we were, we were told the mattress protector would be half price and it was not. I purchase a sofa sleeper bed and the 5 year protection program from them. The sales people are wonderful and so helpful to take your money. So literally two days ago I used the sofa bed for the first time and the metal frame snap causing damage. The sofa bed is unsafe and unusable. So now these so call wonderful people that gladly took my money aren't willing to help me. So I been calling numerous numbers and speaking to number people in regards to this matter and since is not a furniture issue and only internal. I was told they will NOT cover it. Outstanding customer service. The sales personnel go beyond their call of duty. They were sympathic to my emergency situation after losing my home due to a fire and reacted quickly. Extremely unprofessional customer service and delivery. You can't seriously believe using the "truck broke down" excuse will work on me 3 times in a row. Ordered this couch well in advance. Sales rep was nice but ordered the wrong piece for my couch, waited 2-3 weeks for the couch with a wrong piece to be delivered, had to wait for a truck twice to come pick up the wrong piece which took 2-3 weeks, now waited another 2 weeks and it was supposed to be delivered today but never got a call and truck never showed up. Called the store, phone rang for 15 minutes, a lady picked up, put me on hold for 5 minutes, said truck "broke down" so it was canceled, then literally hung up on me. Now I got a weird looking short couch (because its missing a middle piece) for my party this weekend to show the family my new house. I ordered a twin mattress and a protective cover from Ashley of Staten Island. I told them that I'll pick up both from the store. They called to pick up stuff. I came to the store and picked up both, the mattress and the cover. But when home I discovered that while mattress was OK - twin, the cover was King, although the box said 'Twin'. Ok, error happen, so I came back and returned the cover. They promised to replace it within a week. Well, it's been more than a month and every time they don't call me I need to come to the store (30 min drive one way) just to hear - 'sorry, next week'. Finally I was fed up and came to the store to cancel the order for the cover. During this month my credit card company renewed my credit card. So, when I presented this new card to the customer service person (Candice) she refused to process the cancellation. I had this situation many times - with Costco, Home Depot, even Shoprite. They are not asking for the credit card, but only for the receipt. Any way, I am very unsatisfied and have opened the dispute with my credit card company. P.S. Oh, and BTW they still charged me for delivery $39.99 although it was me delivering their stuff to my house. What a fraud! read more

Worse business transaction I've ever had. Made a order in October. My order still is not complete. Had to wait 2 months for my box spring. Now I'm still waiting for my chest dresser. We spoke to the store and were advised they would not take the couch but would move it outside and would take the beds. I am a front line worker for NYU Langone Hosptial in New York. I am extremely pissed off at Ashley I purchased a sofa & loveseat & ottoman from where I live in Staten Island which the manager at the location was great. I spent over $2,000 and which everything is still under warranty. I have an ottoman that the cushion is creasing which nothing has been on it nor has anyone sat on it to make it look like that. Never the less I have a loveseat that everytime I sit on it is making a bad cracking/creeking sound. They had somone come out to take a look at it and literally looked at it for 2 minutes and said nothing he can do took his pictures and went on his way and wrote in his report normal wear and tear what a Big Fat Lie. I took off work seeing patients for them to not even look at it for 2 minutes. I spoke with a main customer service manager which was rude and seemed not to care and told me that it is normal wear and tear when I had provided pictures/video that there is a defect and is under warranty. I will never ever order from them again and or tell my family friends to order from you guys again.
