This has been the worst experience in my life. I bought a mattress and we measured wrong, I called back to exchange for the right size. Of course there's no direct number to call, there was no positive customer service, I actually went around and around for over 45 min. to finally get hung up on. then I was lied to saying that they didn't have the bed in stock when there app. said that they did. and now I was told that it would be another week before I can pick up the bed. so now my 16 year old has no bed for a week. These people made me feel like this was a big inconvenience for them. I guess if you don't spend a lot of money your basically garbage to them. I am very hurt and disappointed. So tell your family and friends not to shop at the Ashley Furniture on the west bound HWY. in Madison, Wi. So you don't have to go through what I went through :( read more

We had an awesome salesperson-Kay. We were looking for a particular set, unsure if we were going to get a couch and love seat or chairs. I would of loved to get the couch and loveseat but my husband wanted his recliner and we didn't think we could fit all 3 in our condo. We currently have two recliners and a love seat My parents bought this set last year and we really like it so when we went to the Ashley furniture store on the East side of Madison I gave her a copy of my parents receipt so she could look up the furniture and see if they had this style on the floor. They did so we were able to sit in this furniture and others to compare. We looked at several styles and came back to this style. As we are leaving for a trip out of the country in 8 days we set up our delivery for when we return in three weeks. At that time I will add the delivery experience. We are a little out of the service area so it cost us almost $100 more for the delivery charge. Because the couch and chair both need to be plugged in we purchased for $249 a battery pack so we didn't have cords across our living room floor. We also purchased for over $300 the extra 4 year warranty that if we don't use the service after 4 years we can get the $ spent on the warranty back in in-store credit. We had a great shopping experience. We had purchased our current living room furniture from Ashley on the West side 6 years ago and the furniture has held up wonderfully so I do t anticipate having to use the warranty but got it because of the electronics o. Be careful. Their delivery people will push furniture through openings that are too small and damage the furniture. Then you have to wait forever before the repair team can get the necessary tools to repair the damage. Then you need to converse with a bot to try and get things done. Sales people here are pushy and condescending. Three sales people bee-lined for us when we entered When we got to the other side of the store had to tell a fourth sales person "just browsing today, thank you" FIVE times, he just continued to ask questions and follow us around until we just walked away quickly and left the store as he was not taking the hint that we wanted to be left alone. In a past visit a sales person acted like we were stupid when we asked if they had a metal mattress frame in stock, he laughed and said "no we don't just keep them around". 1***NEVER EVER PURCHASE FROM THEM*** STAY FAR AWAY!! WORSE THAN AMERICAN FREIGHT!!!! TERRIBLE TERRIBLE ABSOLUTELY HORRID I purchased a couch and loveseat that was on sale. Literally the couch was $299 and the loveseat was $299. I purchased the warranty and pet protection (have to because we do have two golden retriever puppies). We had put them in the kennel one day like normal, but the latch apparently didn't lock fully and they got out and chewed the back corner and casing of the couch. I filed a claim, we hadn't even had the couch 2 months!!! I get an email and text stating they ordered the PARTS to fix the couch meaning a back panel and the casing to the one side of the couch. The back casing (pillows) BOTH SIDES are attached to the back. Then it was scheduled for repair over a month and a half out. So I get to sit here with damaged broken furniture that could cause injury to one of the kids or my dogs and they seem to not care whatsoever! I called them to ask why the couch just wouldn't be replaced since it was cheap, and they responded with they have to repair it first... Then they explain to me that the parts are being shipped to my house, so I have to store these parts for a couple weeks also. My concern, there are sharp plastic pieces sticking out, stuffing, staples and such... I have children and I don't want the puppies getting at it more, because then the warranty is null and void if they happen to damage anymore of the couch, you only get one repair! I will take my business elsewhere as we were looking at bedroom sets next for three rooms.. too bad you won't get my business!!! read more

Look, my issue stems from a BED advertised ONLINE isn't the same price in store and Ashley has a whole set of rules about "mandatory delivery and shipping fees" online. Pick up in store isn't the best kind of service either. I took a floor model adjustable base that took more than 1.5 hours to get prepped for pickup at the back. That whole pick up at that back door with a trailer attached seems to have thrown people off because a girl simply can't just know what to do so it took some mansplaining to get this done. Also, I ordered the bed that I wanted from online and paying half the shipping costs by ordering from the store but my word... I can't stand their process of bait & switch. Additionally, the manager gave me a backhanded compliment of sorts which was weird like (1) did I offend you by helping y'all put this adjustable bed base on the enclosed trailer because you can't damage this since it has no warranty per your company's process and these guys aren't all that capable without me and (2) who says "Joyce you don't need anyone for anything!" If I didn't have a day's drive ahead of me I would have had much to say in response. Huhhhhhhhh. But this all started because the sales rep was too busy chasing Black Friday shoppers than to just make the deal with me on the bed. No worries. I understand managers can do what workers can't but they gave me a few freebies so that was nice. read more

Called Ashley Furniture/Appliance Furniture to repair our couch at the beginning of November..They gave us a service date of 02/01/22 before noon. My wife instructed them to call my phone or her son's phone, as she would be at work and unable to answer her phone.. They called her phone never once tried my phone or her son's phone.. I work 16 hour shifts for the State of Wisconsin..so I value my sleep.. When my wife finally got a hold of someone at Customer service they refused to come out and fix the Warranty work until the 24th of March..another 50 days..do not buy anything from Ashley Furniture..they fall short of their promises and make you sit on broken Furniture for 6 months.. I would have updated earlier but I just honestly want to forget this every happened to me. After this, I got in touch with a manager at the extended warranty company and he said my old claim was indeed declined due to "accumulation" which means I have too much stains on top of each other. So supposedly I was supposed to call every single time I get a stain, no matter now small it is. I told him why would I want to go through this whole 2-month issue with them over every quarter-sized stain my kids make? By that time I would have gotten a new stain! - Which is exactly what happened throughout this whole thing. I got a new stain for which this manager said I could make a new claim and he promised me that it would be treated as a whole new claim separate from the other one. I asked if I would just always be denied over and over again even if I had a new stain because clearly I got denied for the past stains. He said no I wouldn't be denied because this is a whole new stain. Well....I got denied AGAIN. He also promised to email me their 2-page policy on the plan I purchased, saying it is very plain, straight-forward plan which is why it is only 2 pages long. Well....never received that email. Moral of the story: These people are LIARS and CHEATS. I called the store again and spoke to a lady manager telling her I would no longer do service with them. They are horrible and they need to communicate with their warranty and customer care people because apparently these companies work together but have no idea how to communicate. What kind of company hires a third party and have no idea how they do business when they are lying to their customers? How do you think that makes Ashley's look? DON'T EVER COME HERE. read more

We recently purchased a new dining room table 4 chairs and a bench. Upon delivery, we identified one of the chairs was damaged. I was told I needed to call in to Customer Service. I spoke with Alex who insisted that it was not their policy to do an exchange even though it was a brand new chair. He needed to order the part that would arrive in 2-3 weeks and the repair would be performed. Here we are, 5 weeks later, no part, broken chair and noone seems to know why there is such a delay. Very poor customer service considering the price I paid for new furniture. I did not pay for a chair that needs repaired upon delivery. When calling in to check on the delay I spoke with someone who suggested an exchange, then upon calling in a 3rd time, we were back to that not being an option. Seriously! How if the entire product was delivered in 2 weeks am I waiting 5 weeks for a replacement part (the entire back of the chair) and no one knows why. It's 2-4 weeks for delivery, which each snotty "customer service" rep reminds me, even after I stress that I was assured by the sales rep that delivery would be 2 weeks. If my furniture comes at 4 weeks, I'll still have to wait another week to schedule delivery. I paid for this service, and yet they act like they are doing me a favor. Last week I was assured everything would be in and they would be calling. Today I found out 1 piece still isn't in the warehouse. Nothing I ordered was custom, so I don't understand the wait and the attitude. Canceling would mean a restocking fee, even though I haven't received anything yet. Go somewhere else!!!! read more

Cancelled our scheduled delivery date 3 times. I emailed the salesperson, Kyle Kuhn, after the 3rd time asking him to have Ashley deliver as promised. He replied: Thanks for contacting me. I reached out to our routing director and told them your circumstances. I will keep you updated. They should be calling you as well. I'm still waiting to hear back from them. We have had a HORRIBLE time with this store. We placed an order for over $2,000 with this store in May. When our furniture was supposed to be delivered on June 17, they called my boyfriend who was at work and unable to answer the call. They did not take the next step to call me, which we gave the sales rep my phone number for this exact reason. Therefore they did not deliver our furniture and delayed the delivery for two weeks. The day it was supposed to be delivered the second time they told us they had staff issues and it would be delivered the following day instead. When the delivery finally came, the wrong chairs were on the order (placed by the sales rep). The boys (they were young) that delivered said they could only walk through one door, so they dropped three large boxes weighing over 100lbs each in the stairwell of my apartment complex. So instead of waiting for my boyfriend to get home from work to help move them, I was forced to move them by myself because they refused to walk 5 more steps through a second door to place the packages in the lobby. Then, when I brought the furniture up and opened the boxes, our tv unit had chips in it and our kitchen table had no legs. We were told a new table would be sent basically a month later. So I've had a large box taking up my entire kitchen floor because they won't come pick this one up. During this process the sales rep had horrible communication. Would tell us he would call us Monday and by Friday we never heard from him. The manager of the store finally got in contact with us stating that he could only offer $150 discount for our troubles (we negotiated and he said the most he could do was a $200 refund and $50 gift card). We then found out that when our new table Was going to be delivered they still wouldn't have our chairs for us. So now instead of a box on our floor we'll have a table that we'll have to stand at to use for a month. We decided we don't want to deal with that so we would return the table and chairs and take the negotiated $200 refund. The manager said the refund wasn't going to be applied if we returned the table and chairs. As if the return was compensation enough for our issues. We are beyond disappointed in this store and their lack of customer service and decided we would like to cancel our entire order. We have not heard from the manager. Still waiting to see what happens with this. But all in all, I would NOT recommend this store. read more

Bought motion cocktail table and loveseat 2.5 years ago. Cocktail table mechanism broke right away and had to be fixed. Caster wheels broke next. Now the leather color on our loveseat is worn . I purchase a reclining live seat from this store. Almost immediately I noticed that each side slanted towards the middle. I contacted customer relations and they scheduled a C.S. rep to come take a look at it. 2 months from then. They arrived today. The person was not wearing a mask, and did not have one with him. I provided one to him and he reluctantly put it on. He checked out the loveseat and said there was nothing wrong. I told him I looked at similar pieces in other stores and none had a slant like this. He restated there was nothing wrong, this is how they are made, and nothing would be done to fix this problem. The design of this unit has from day one, caused me to have back issues. Ashley sells defective merchandise and does nothing to fix the problem or satisfy customers when they receive a defective unit. I will not ever go back to them for anything and recommend you do not patronize their stores because of this. read more

I explained that I planned to pay cash and asked what amount of store credit I would receive. I was told 'zero'. I walked out. The sign on the door said by appointment only so we started to turn away but then were motioned to come in by a gray hair heavy set guy at the door...There were only a few people in the store so I guess it was ok...we got inside the door and he asked what we were looking for and I said just browsing for some small decor items, pillows, lamps etc...my son was looking for a sofa but he never got asked for what he was looking for because when I told him small things the man told me and my son that "we don't want people just browsing around the store...so you should go to ....he named another store but I already forgot the name of it. Point is...I am 66 years old and I have never in my life been turned away at the door to go in a store..I have purchased from Ashley many times and will never again walk into an Ashley furniture store...I could see if there was a line or a lot of people in the store but there were only a few people in the store and no line outside waiting...I'm thinking maybe because of my age he discriminated against me possibly thinking I could not afford to shop there...??? It has been 5 weeks since our bed frame was delivered and we discovered that the hardware kit was missing. We have talked to and emailed 5 different people, including the regional manager. We physically went back to the store (a 45 min trip from Whitewater) to talk to someone directly. On July 31, the WRONG hardware kit was sent to us (it was to secure a dresser to the wall). Despite assurances that the mistake has been corrected, we have had no follow-up from any of the people we talked to, despite them saying they would check & confirm the order and get back to us. All we need are the screws & washers, however some of the screws are specialty. They are included in the cost, & it is not our responsibility to have to track down & buy the correct hardware. I will never purchase anything from Ashley & have warned my friends & family to avoid them at all costs. Their incompetence is unbelievable. read more
