    So my house burnt down back in October after it was done I went to Ashley furniture in Merriville Indiana spoke to a manager named John told him exactly what I wanted when the furniture came in it was wrong they sent me a $650 piece that was not supposed to be included and they charged me for it. I've done everything in my will power to try to get my money back and they will not help me at all, please be aware of this place they are crooks and at this time $650 means a lot to me trying to rebuild my life after the fire .     **Update** After months of getting the run around we finally received our furniture... however of course it was damaged and not just minor damage but actual structural damage to the chaise. The arm was dented approximately three inches deep by 12 inches wide. In other words even Hellen Keller would be able to see the noticeable damage let alone feel it. After talking with customer service (due to the delivery drivers practically sprinting out of the house" a new one was ordered. Six delivery dates have come to pass with each time being pushed back farther and farther. At this point just go to your local high school woodshop class for better quality and I guarantee better customer service than this joke of a store. Take everything that they say with a grain of salt. My experience has been so awful that I made a yelp account to review this store. First off the sales rep while at the store wanted to talk about hitler with me. I wish I was joking but unfortunately I am not. We were promised a delivery date which has come and gone which I understand to a degree with how Covid has caused many problems. However when checking in on our order I have gotten three different answers. This would be mildly acceptable if each answer wasn't ten minutes apart. How can a total of 30 minutes change the delivery date and time so significantly. My suggestion for anyone is buy from anywhere else, heck go Amazon where atleast you know when you are receiving your items.

    Visit Ashley Homestore 10/29/23. Jakob was the sales rep assisting with the purchase of 3 twin bed frame, 1 twin mattress and foundation, 2 matching dressers, 1 Queen size mattress,foundation, frame, match dresser. 11/08/23 Delivery was made and only was available to assemble the Queen size frame because the sales rep forgot to add the three twin size bed rails. Called the store manager John to inform him of this and he had them to ship the rails out right away at no charge. When the confirmation email was delivered i notice they were going to deliver the bed rails to an address I lived at 8years ago when I made my very first purchase at Ashley Homestore. Called John back to inform him of this error and he corrected it. Today 11/11/23 Three twin bed rails arrived and I was told by the delivery guy I have to assemble myself it's easy. If the bed rails was on the original order and delivered with original order all four beds would've been assembled but since Ashley Homestore dropped the ball multiple times with my order. I'm left to self assemble three beds that's paid for. Then there's the email asking about how satisfied am I well that's a rhetorical question (I'm pissed) . Completely done with Ashley Homestore. Did not plan to assemble three paid for beds on my off day, thanks is real easy.

Darlene, another associate, and the manager on duty (I wish I knew his name) provided me with the highest level of customer service. He made my day! He was a one man show on the floor and handing pickups and he even located my 18" Baker Santa that I was looking for online. Darlene found me on the floor, and she let me know that the manager had located my item. When I got to the register, Darlene took her time, and she made sure that my coupon was properly applied. I was able to find the most unique garland & Santa's. They have something for everyone. The store is neat, clean and well maintained. My order was quickly and efficiently processed with a smile. Darlene was professional, and I loved the way she worked to provide exemplary service as she even assisted her coworker when I arrived with my return.

    Five stars to Pete the salesman…read more Purchased a recliner on 5/14. Arranged/promised delivery today, 5/21. Text yesterday said the delivery window would be between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. today. Text at 6:06 a.m. this morning: "TODAY'S THE DAY! Your merchandise is out for delivery & estimated to arrive between 09:45 AM - 12:45 PM." 1:00 comes and goes. Nothing. 2:00 comes and goes. Nothing. 2:45, I text back yesterday's text that invited questions. "Where are you." Response: You are schedule for tomorrow. Wait, I was scheduled for today and I have the texts to prove it.; Response: Delivery scheduled: May 21, between 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. The tracking link provided DOES NOT WORK. As I continue to wait to get an update, I get: 2:49 p.m.: "I'm sorry to inform you that the item could not be delivered today due to an unforeseen situation at the warehouse." Offer to reschedule for next week on the 27th, 28th, 29th, or 30th. But WHY has it been delayed? Why didn't anybody call me. Been sitting around since 9:45 [due to this morning's text] and now it's FIVE HOURS LATER and 2 hours past the latest time promised. I should get a discount, right? Ummm, we can't give you a discount until after we deliver the chair and then we can "evaluate the entire situation further." "I want to talk to the store manager." Response: Call the store. So I call Bob's in Merrillville. After two operators and 16 minutes total on hold, Jessie comes on. At least she has an answer: They're having problems at the local warehouse and your chair is coming from Ohio. So why didn't someone contact us? Ummmm, sorry, those computer texts are from a different division of the company. WHAAATTT? So you send me a text YESTERDAY promising delivery between 11 and 2, and then you send one at 6 this morning promising delivery between 9:45 and 12:45, but NOBODY can text or call and say . . . sorry, can't make it today? And the links that supposedly take you to a tracking page for your delivery truck take you to a page that says "Delivery Tracking Not Available?" You think Jessie offers any discount? Any upgrade? A coupon for a White Castle? Nope. Just a "we're sorry" and "I see we can reschedule you for next week." Ummm, no thanks. CANCELED. Bob's will never see us again.

When that happened we decided to look elsewhere and very glad we did it turned out to be a blessing a we bought elsewhere found almost identical furniture-maybe nicer and saved $400.

    My parents ordered two couches, a chair, pillows, and a rug from this location back in August…read more Everything arrived in a timely manner except the two couches. At least eleven phone calls later (possibly more; they couldn't remember them all!), many many false promises from employees that the couches were on their way from the warehouse (or being build or on the truck, etc.), my parents were FINALLY informed at the end of November that the couches hadn't even been built yet! The delivery date for the couches has been pushed out at least three times! At this point the couches won't even be done being made until mid December. Apparently these specific couches are very popular! A manager has blamed many of the employees for not knowing how to read the computer. One employee even told them, when asked by my parents for a corporate number, that it "doesn't exist," that there isn't one that they can give out. My father later found one online and was able to reach corporate. My parents were initially only refunded the shipping costs, but have since been told they will be credited more money.

Then he offered tomorrow, but again, I'm at work till 10pm. He then offered to call me later today to set up delivery time, but I'm at work till 10pm. I personally feel that it would of been a lot easier to set up delivery time before trying to deliver it to my house. 2nd Edit: well since no one took the time to arrange a time for my sofa delivery, I decided to take it upon myself. So I called the store and spoke to a confused man. Then a different man came on the phone and asked if he could call me back later. Weird, but ok. Then the first man came back on to take down my name number. Yesterday they were all about delivering my sofa, now today it doesn't seem to be that big of a deal.
