Ashley still refused to do anything about my sofa being a different color than the one In the showroom. All I wanted is a cream off white sofa that I paid close to $4,000 for. They would not do anything to rectify the situation. No exchange offered no reselect. Shame on you Ashley. I will continue to share my story and show these ridiculous photos. This has been the worst purchase experience in my life. I will provide the details and YOU decide if you want to deal with such a business/location/team. This review is based on being sold full-price product with a manufacturer defect and terrible customer service from the staff as this specific franchise. I purchased a nightstand with several pieces damaged internally (see photos attached). Because this was picked up at this NJ warehouse, was purchased via phone from this location (versus ashley.com) and it had been over 72 hours since the warehouse pick-up-- I was offered NO ASSISTANCE (not allowed to return it, get a replacement, any partial refund, offered a tech to come inspect it -- nothing. Upon hours of back and forth via phone/email, I was offered a courtesy piece worth 10$ and told I would have to pay one of their techs to come look/install it). I was unaware of their unreasonable pick-up policy (the nightstand was the final piece of a $3000 furniture set purchase I otherwise purchased online) - apparently as soon as it leaves the parking lot, via their warranty you are screwed. I would think there is an exception when sold a product manufactured incorrectly, where the only way one would know of the damages these pictures show would be upon beginning the install. NOTE: I even pulled the nightstand out the box but again there was no outside damage. I will attach the photos here and YOU decide if you would have noticed this upon a pickup inspection; and if it appears to be a manufacturer defect or was it broken while I installed the drawer (again, they accused me of this CONTINOUSLY via phone and email). The only way to know of this damage would be to put your furniture together in their parking lot - and even then Nicole informed me, ONCE YOU SIGN AND LEAVE, TOO BAD. Be aware of their customer service -its non-existent and they are often disrespectful; every rep. just repeats this warranty to you regardless of what you say or describe (I even heard it in the background to others; I spoke to Laura, and manager Nicole on the phone and Shaun, Neal via email). I spent over an hour on the phone to where I begged for an email to send the photos so it was clear what we were even debating. Nicole the manager made it clear regardless of what the pics show, they were going to do NOTHING for me. After much back and forth via email, they agreed to send me the glider piece without charge (approx. 10$) while stressing to me I will need to pay/hire their technician to do any repairs. However, it took 4 emails of arguing after the initial correspondence to even get their cheap part sent to me. Note that I wasn't asking for my $300 back, all I wanted was to be treated fairly and given what I paid for; to pick-up or be sent a replacement working piece of furniture but apparently that was too much to ask for. Here is the initial email reply from this Ashley location on April 9th: Good Evening, Hope all is well. After reviewing the account I do see this is an item that has been picked up from the Edison warehouse. Unfortunately, we do not provide a warranty for these items. We strongly recommend you open and inspect your merchandise before leavening. Ashley home-store cannot be responsible for any damages after leaving the premises. The damages shown in the photos showcase this occurred during the installation of the drawer to your nightstand. You have spoken with management who did advise this is not covered under the manufacturer's warranty. Laura has offered parts as a courtesy which would be the drawer glide that was damaged when trying to insert the drawer. The installation would need to be serviced by an out-of-pocket technician. Please feel free to give us a call at 732-548-1200. We are open 7 days a week Monday-Saturday-8am-9pm Sunday 8am-7pm. ***EDIT (6/5): Ashley contacted me after this review and offered to send out a tech to look at the issue. I had already hired an outside tech so they reimbursed me for the the $90. It's unfortunate it took this review/threatening their sales to be heard however I appreciate the gesture to follow up. Do NOT buy anything from Ashley Furniture either online or in any of their stores. They have the worst customer service and do not stand behind the products they sell. Go to the better business bureau (bbb.org) and see all of the consumer complaints. After going in circles with their "customer service" the only reason they reached out to me was because I filed a better business bureau complaint. How sad? Also their protection plans are sourced out to a 3rd party and they have the same crap customer service as Ashley. Save yourself the time, money and headache. What can I say? At 1st when you walk into this warehouse it seems a bit unsettling to see random pieces of furniture located throughout a gynormous space. However, the few times that we've been there, everyone was very helpful and can answer questions quickly and go above and beyond. The one mistake that was made was after paying for furniture and putting delivery on hold for a few months, when we were finally ready for delivery, the furniture was no longer available (what?) and was discontinued. This was a huge disappointment for my husband and I but the store manager made up for it in many ways and we are grateful for that and we are still in touch as we finalize a few more purchases. read more

I went in looking and saw a leather sofa for $400. I pointed out it had a hole in the front and the salesman said $350. This is the most unprofessional furniture company I have ever ordered from. I ordered my bedroom set on 2/5/2024. I was told I would receive my set by 2/28/2024, which I thought was a long time but I accepted that. I got rid of my old set the day before to make space for my new set. I received an EMAIL the AFTERNOON before stating that my rail was on back order and I would have to wait until 3/8. It's now 3/8 and the representative first states that he thinks THE WHOLE ORDER is missing??? I've been sleeping on air mattress since then since I have to bed set. I'm recovering from bone cancer and this has been the most uncomfortable feeling. DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE. You might have to pay more but who cares. GARBAGE! I paid well over$1000 for a leather sofa bed couch from Raymour. The mechanism has no guarantee from Ashley. Purchased in 2019; model discontinued already. I went into the location on 07/20 and decided on a sleeper couch, after the salesman was quick to negotiate a price I inspected the couch and found out it was NOT a sleeper. I was able to negotiate a cheaper price but should have taken that as a sign to STAY AWAY. 2 days after the couch was delivered I called them because there was a major sag in the center of the couch and the baseboard was basically touching the ground with any weight. After providing proof of the damage, they assured me it would be fixed quickly although I was annoyed my new couch was not being replaced. For over month I called them because all of their empty promises to call back were never fulfilled. Yesterday 08/24 at 7AM my couch was finally fixed. Let's hope it lasts. I think it is absolutely unacceptable how I was treated as a customer, and the process in which it took to have my couch fixed on an issue that was not due to my negligence. The salesperson Kenny was extremely polite and he understood our needs. The other associate along with Kenny was helpful and didn't try to over sale us; he knew our budget & the colors we wanted; we purchased in less then 3 mins and with in 3days our new BEAUTIFUL sectional was delivered. Slight mixups with delivery process. Deliverers not preppared to enter peoples home with proper PPE. Great prices, just be sure to understand all sales are final once delivery date has arrived. I wish I could give Ashley HomeStore a negative zero rating. I waited 9 weeks for a sleeper sofa to arrive. I finally was given a delivery date and unfortunately, the sofa did not fit in my elevator (this is no ones fault). Directly from customer service, I was offered a breakdown service to disassemble the couch and have it reassembled in my home - one week later. I was going to pay an additional $250.00 for this service. I thought the couch was worth it so I agreed. An hour later, I receive a call from Kay to confirm delivery and when I mentioned the additional breakdown service, I was told they would not be able to honor that since it was an online purchase. That I would have to go into a store and purchase it from a sales person and then they could do the breakdown service for me. I was transferred to Mike at the Secaucus store and he placed the order over the phone with the additional breakdown service and informed me that he may be able to attach the original sofa delivered to me, to my current order. Well I've waited 2 days to be told that the original LEATHER sofa was damaged because it was left on the truck during hurricane Ida and a new order cannot be placed as it is now "out of stock." WHAT A GIMMICK!!! I just got off the phone with customer service because the ottoman which I ordered along with the sofa was delivered weeks ago and now they will not refund my money. Because it was ordered online, I had 72 hrs to return. My family and I are now sitting on the floor with a $300 ottoman that I have to pay for and can do nothing with!!! I had to wait two weeks after my purchase for delivery, the day before my delivery I was given a time frame to expect my delivery. After waiting all day, I received a call stating that my furniture will not be delivered because the driver returned the truck and refuses to deliver anymore furniture. What the hell??? Made the mistake of ordering a kitchen set from these amateurs. After getting a delivery window of 1pm-5pm, I received a call stating that the driver would be late arriving here by 7pm the latest. At 7:40 pm when the three geniuses arrived, it took them over a half an hour to assemble one table. The quality of the furniture is so so, I guess you get what you pay for but the delivery and customer service teams SUCK! I will never purchase anything from Ashley again. Extremely disappointed! I got my delivery today 10/7/21. I ordered a bedroom set with mattress and adjustable base with extended warranty. About an hour after delivery I walked by the foot board and I noticed the bed moves. The panels moves and this will lead to the bed falling apart or someone come frequently to fix it. I called the number that's on my invoice and spoke with a very nice rep. I explained the situation and she then spoke to 2 supervisors both the manager and a director I believe. I requested that they exchange the bed. Not return it. Both declined my request and their solution was to get the bed tightened. The bed was just put together and there isn't anything loose. The bed is beautiful but cheaply made. Chelsea (online/phone sales rep) was amazing and the best part of this experience. I should have gone back to Raymor & Flanagan or a department store. Don't waste your time and money with Ashley Homestore. Today they've lost a customer and I will never refer them to anyone. Poor service. Cheap product. read more

We bought a table that we've had to replace twice due to manufacturer defects- cracks in the table top and the legs. Now a third time, I am facing similar issues, and they have decided that even within my warranty, I am not eligible for replacement. Worst experience ever customer service is awful. They brought wrong bed to my daughter then when they brought right bed a week later it had 5 spots damaged on headboard. Ashley is the worst of the worst - they delivered furniture to me back in February and I admit I did look it over however it was prior to the installation of a leaf. Once the leaf was in the delivery team quickly placed the chairs all around and I didn't see that a pieces was clearly missing from the leaf edge. How could I as I would have had to move two chairs and wedge between the wall and table and then get down on my knees to see it. This week we moved the table and boom I saw it. No one has even eaten at the table since delivery and I was honest and shared the whole story with Jazmin a supervisor at Ashley. She told me because it has been so long it is not considered a manufacturer defect and that I should have inspected better. So which way is it I didn't inspect well or your saying it wasn't there?? Either way the table is clearly made with cheap material and Ashley has trained their team to be manipulative in the way they ask questions and to deny what I am sure is all claims. She shared she can see that exact spot in the pictures the delivery men took but they didn't wedge themselves in that area so wondering what she is looking at. Jazmin also told me they were denying me because I answered the survey with the delivery was good and went smooth. That is not a question about the furniture but about the delivery team. Now they are using surveys against their customers to further deny service. If I were you I would never buy anything from Ashley. They want to sell you overpriced items with aggressive sales ppl and then deny you replacement or repairs when they deliver it broken. AWFUL COSTUMER SERVICE! I spent over $7k on furniture for my new house. Every piece that arrived was damaged. They damaged my walls and wouldn't give so much as an I'm sorry. Almost 3 months later, I'm still waiting for furniture after multiple deliveries with damaged furniture. I had to call to get an update and learned I'd have to wait at least 3 more weeks for the shipment to arrive at the warehouse AND THEN be scheduled for delivery. BUYER BEWARE!!!! I wish i could give zero stars. This is the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I placed an order for a couch with the delivery scheduled for 2 days later. My first issue with this process is that when you purchase your items you have no idea what day and time frame it will be delivered until 24 hours in advance. So fast forward to delivery day and they brought the wrong couch. This is already frustrating but believe me it gets worse. I call the "customer service" line which should be called the "worthless" line and explained to them what happen and how it was their fault and not mine. They proceeded to tell me that it would be delivered 2 days later and could not give me a time frame. I requested that since this was their screw up that it be the first delivery that day. They then proceeded to tell me they don't have control over what times the delivery's go out. Low and behold the timeframe I was scheduled was 2-6 ( which on a Saturday is a huge inconvenience). I called and told them to move the time and still nothing. I had to cancel all my plans (which accrued fees) just to wait around for this damn couch. I purchased 2 rooms of furniture. We had it delivered on 3/2/2020. The delivery guys dropped it and said that we had to put it together ourselves my husband is 73. It is not my primary home and we were anxious so we called and they sent them back to put it together. We had a 2 hour drive home do we didn't leave till 10:00 pm. They tricked us into signing. We came back the next week and While I was cleaning the floor a big chunk of wood was missing and a nail sticking out of the front. There was paint splattered in the front. Mind you I hadn't been there in a week. I called customer device and they refuse to replace it. They said why didn't we see it that night and call within 72hours . I explained that I left late and that I don't live there full time. Will not replace it. Do yourselves a favor do not buy from this company. They are a horror and very bad customer service. Ashley furniture is a joke and a ripoff. I purchased furniture at my local store on 7/4. Delivery was slated for the next week and they set up the furniture and I noticed a lot of damage and that the delivery people had damaged my daughters hardwood floors. I called while delivery people were still here and I was told to refuse the furniture which I did and the delivery people refused to take it back. They ran out the door leaving me no paperwork. I have been fighting with Ashley for over a month to either come get this furniture or repair it or something. They finally sent me a new drawer to the chest in my daughters room through UPS and it was even more damaged then the one that was delivered and had coffee stains all down the front of it. When I brought it into my local store all they did was call the warehouse. I told the warehouse they had 3 choices either fix the furniture and refund me partially, refund me totally and come pick up the furniture or I would have to take Ashley's to small claims court and they refused to do anything so I am now suing. All I want is my money back at this point so I can go somewhere to shop that values its customers and get nondamaged furniture so I never have to deal with Ashley's again. read more
