I just realized I never put a review for this business. I was watching tik tok and I came across someone who had a horrible experience with Ashley furniture and it took me back to when I purchased my whole bedroom set and living room sectional from them. We didn't get our sectional for over a month and when it came there were pieces missing so we had to wait another month for those. We didn't get our bedroom set for almost 3 months and when we got it one of the night stands was broken. So they ship us just the drawer. So tacky. The worst part was when you call to complain the store just doesn't care!!! We spent soooooo much money with them and they just didn't want to be bothered. It's disappointing. And, to see others going through the same thing is sad. If you're in the Columbus, GA area go to Goree's in Opelika. They have better prices and are very friendly. read more

They also assumed that I wanted the delivery and set-up plus the 5 year protection plan. Coming here was an an amazing experience! We walked in & were immediately greeted by Catherine! She then let us know she was available if we needed anything & let us roam around on our own with her breathing down our neck while we looked at what we needed. She checked on us occasionally to make sure we were okay. She then helped us find things that were in stock & could be delivered ASAP as opposed to waiting COVID wait times! She's been an amazing help, was very informative about the furniture and the plans they have. If you come here use the name Dez & ask for Catherine! She is top notch! read more

They will sell you items that they don't even have in stock and don't know when they will get it ... if someone is moving and trying to time their deliveries this store will through everything off. You will be moved in your new home with no couch to sit on and no bed to lay in. Thank Gosh!!! ordered a set of broth I'll furniture with the ottoman. I waited patiently for 3 months for the order to come in. since It was free delivery the Delivery driver was not allowed to unwrap it. When we unwrapped the furniture it had a huge 4 in rip in the back of the couch and the wood backing was broken as if it was dropped on the side. The ottoman did not have the feet to it. If I could give them a zero I would. My boyfriend and I ordered a couch from here in July; due to COVID, everything is on backorder, so they told us we wouldn't get it until mid September. We weren't happy with that, but were fine with it as long as we got our couch by that time. Ashley texted us 3 days before our ETA stating it wouldn't be available until Oct 6! Well TOMORROW is Oct 6, still no call from them. We call to make sure everything is FINALLY in order to be delivered, and it turns out not only do they not have us scheduled for delivery tomorrow, but they actually gave some of our sectional that they did have in stock to other people that ordered long after we did. So here I am, writing a review (and will be giving them bad reviews on as many sites as I can) that I hope will bankrupt this unorganized store. read more

We came in to Ashley's looking to furnish off our bedroom and a buy a mattress that would last. We worked with Odreana and she was absolutely amazing to work with. First let me say that Natalie is the best sales person you can get. Unfortunately the store just doesn't deliver the furniture. I purchased a sofa and end tables in June. It took a couple of months for the sofa to get here. When it did the delivery guys were in such a hurry that they messed up my newly painted walls and ruined the legs on the couch. I called Ashley and after about a month and me following up and staying on it, they sent someone to fix the wall. This man was wonderful and very sorry this happened. The legs had to be replaced they messed them up so bad. I have recieved the legs and they were suppose to put them on when they delivered the tables. The tables, in September I went back in and just picked new tables. The September 23 delivery date has been moved multiple times and we are the in the middle of October before they can get delivered. I travel for work and the delivery is unwilling to work with my travel schedule to make it happen. It isn't convenient they said. By now, I think I should have recieved some compensation because I have been nice and not been ugly at all. I have not had a manager call and apologize or even try to compensate me for this . It is just crazy. Similar experience when I bought my bedroom suite. It took me over 2 months to get it and longer to get it all here. Furniture is good price and great quality but for the headache, it isn't worth it. I still have no end tables and no idea when I can get them. Oh, I can go get them and put them together but for a single mom who isn't real good at this stuff with no truck. Not a good option when I have already paid them for it. read more

I would not recommend buying any furniture from this business. It is no surprise why almost every review is negative and only 1 star. The only positive experience here was the salesperson who sold us our furniture. We bought a bedroom set in August and paid cash. It wasn't going to be delivered until yesterday 09/16. It was over 3 weeks but I get it and we were told that up front. We received a message and text last week that we were scheduled for delivery on 09/16 and another follow up message with the same information on Friday 09/13. We were given a time of between 4:30 and 7:30pm. We had the bedroom completely cleaned out and had sold our previous furniture. I went home at 3:30 to give myself plenty of time. 4:30 came, 5:30 came and so on until it reached just before 7:30. We called the customer service number and of course they were closed. The message said they close at 4pm and that's another problem in and of itself. We then called the store and spoke to a lady who works at the front counter. We advised her that we had not heard from anyone. We did advise her that we had 1 missed call during that time but when we called it back (It was from out of state) a man answered and when we told him we had a missed call he hung up on us. We gave her the number and obviously hoped it wasn't the driver if he left no message and then hung up in our face. She stated she would call us back shortly. She called back about 10-15 minutes later and said she spoke to the distribution center. She stated that they didn't have any drivers with that number and also stated that they notated they had called both numbers. I advised her that this was not true, that I had been home since 3:30 and that we had received no other phone calls and have been waiting for our furniture. She then proceeded to tell us that the trucks were full for the next couple of days so maybe it could be delivered on Thursday or Friday. I told her that was not acceptable because we were completely blown off. I asked for the Managers name and she stated John Summerford. I asked for the District Managers name and she said she had no idea who that was. I then asked to speak to whoever was in charge currently at the store and she told me there isn't anyone there in charge. I told her to leave Mr. Summerford a message that I would be in at 10am. This morning I received a message from the office that they would look into my delivery (I had left a message about my ordeal the night before). They then told me that they had to wait until the trucks got back and might be able to get my furniture to me by 6pm. I told them I wouldn't accept might and if they couldn't get it to me then I simply wanted a refund. They told me that the dispatcher notated that they tried both numbers and the gate number. I advised her that was simply a lie and that we never got a call. She advised me that it wouldn't have been a 229 number but a 334 number which conflicted with what I had already been told. Regardless, I didn't get a call from any of the advised prefixes. In the end, I simply decided to drive back over to Ashley and just get my money back and find furniture elsewhere. When I walked in I asked for Mr. Summerford and the salesperson got him. I introduced myself and he asked how he could assist. Keep in mind that this man already knew what was going on and had called my wife about 15 minutes earlier who told him I was on the way. I said I just need a refund. His response to losing a sale and having a customer who will never return and advise others to never shop there was simply "ok". No service recovery effort, no what can we do to make this right, not even an I'm sorry but just "ok". He got a lady from the back and stood there while she processed the refund. This man has to be the worst Manager in history and is costing Ashley money and customers. As we stood there waiting I told him that his business had many problems and that no one ever contacted us about the delivery. His response was "I'm sorry, they said they did". I told him that I had called the store the night before and was told that no one there was in charge. He simply looked at me with no reply. The lady gave me my refund receipt, I told her thank you and walked away. Again, nothing from the store manager. I can only hope that one day soon I will see the "Closeout Sale - Going out of Business" signs on Ashley Home Stores. I advise everyone to shop elsewhere! read more

This has been my worst experience when it comes to buying furniture, it's sad to say but I had way better experience with Rent A Center. I ordered a full bedroom set and a couch all on the same day (7th of June). The couch had a later delivery date due to it being on back order, I was told this before I paid for it so that was ok. So I get my bedroom set on the 12th and the bed was damaged, not a big deal (things happen) but when the sent a replacement that too was damaged, SMH. Also the delivery guys couldn't put the mirror on my dresser because the screws were missing and as of today (July 9th) I still haven't received the screws, so the mirror is just on my bed room floor, SMH. Now on to the couch, they told me the couch was coming on 19th of June and I called to see what was going on with my mirror screws around the 17th or 18th of June and that's when I found out my couch was running late and will be at my house on the 6th (ok cool things happen) I called them on the 1st of July to change my couch order to a couch that was $1,728.00 more then the original one I ordered and was told it would be at my house on the 9th of July, so I just called to ask if my screws for the mirror would be coming with my couch today, she tells me the couch won't be delivered until the 12th of July. What's a three day difference you might ask, well when you were told one thing and made plans to have guess over, plus on top of everything else dealing with this company, then three days is a huge deal at this point. So they get one star from me, but I must say while I'm getting jerked around their customer service was really nice about it. read more

So Ashley Furniture will NEVER get my business again, I knew when I ordered that I wouldn't get my couch or ottoman until the middle of June but my loveseat and chair and a half should have been here on Sat as well as my mothers double reclining loveseat. They called last week and left a message saying my chair and a half wouldn't be here for delivery on Sat and then called again this morning and now my moms loveseat won't be here either. They have no idea when it will be in. So as of Sat I'll have a loveseat and God only knows when the rest will be in. How do you spend thousands of dollars on furniture and they can't seem to get it to you. NEVER EVER AGAIN WILL THEY HAVE MY BUSINESS!!!!! read more

I have purchased multiple pieces at Ashley and never had any issue. In fact, I purchased a mattress with a pillow top, within 3 days I knew I could not sleep on this mattress, I went in and sat down with the girl I had purchased it from, I wish she was still there she was great, explained the situation. We went back and I chose another mattress that was actually cheaper, still over 2k. Got a check, a new mattress and no issues. I have gotten a living room, full bedroom and some small tables. This was all in 2018. Well, I went in the this past weekend and found the couch I was looking for, got a good deal and it is coming next Monday. I have always had good service and pleasant sales people. The delivery men have been great too, work with you take pictures of it all and get their sign off. I stay out of their way and joke with them. No sure where everyone is running into an issue. read more

My husband and I recently purchased a bedroom set. When looking to buy, sales representative said that furniture should arrive in approximately 1 week after purchasing. When we started to order, we were then told that our furniture would not be available until August 15th (a month later). We said that was fine. Today we received a call and was informed we would not receive our furniture until another 2 weeks. After voicing our complaint about the further delay, the sales representative said he could maybe see about getting $100 refunded, which I'm assuming will be store credit. I'm not even sure you can buy anything in Ashley's furniture store for $100. We are extremely displeased with our experience and will not be using Ashley furniture for any future purchases, or recommending others to shop. It is frustrating when you spend over $3,000 on furniture in cash and do not receive it in the allotted time it was supposed to be available. Plus, the store is unable to deliver so we have to make other arrangements to make sure we are available to pick up our purchase. read more

Beautiful furniture, decent prices. However, they do not offer free delivery like Tate's. The delivery fee was $70, so we decided to pick it up ourselves. We had to wait a week before we could get our dining room furniture. We were extremely disappointed to find out that along with picking it up ourselves, we also had to assemble it! I am trying to save anyone who thinks of buying furniture there. I am happy to report American Express and the Better Business Bureau are helping my get my $1400 back. The story: I purchased a couch on 5APR2019 for $1382.37. They delivered an incorrect couch and have not refunded my money. Do not buy furniture here. The story: On 5APR2019, I spent about an hour in the store, brought in photos of my living space, a drawing with dimensions, and a measuring tape to ensure I got the correct couch I wanted. The sales representative, while courteous, drew the diagram on their sheet correctly, but failed to write down the serial numbers for the correct configuration. The worker responsible for generating the order, inputted it incorrectly. Short of looking over their shoulders and knowing their job, I did everything I could to supervise this process. Four weeks later, they delivered the incorrect configuration. To save their delivery team labor, I agreed to keep the couch. I drove to the store and spoke with a manager, which produced the narrative above regarding how the error occurred. He agreed to give me a $100 gift card and get me rescheduled. The soonest was about 10 days later. Then, the company rescheduled on me 3 different times. On the fourth time, I was unable to get off work in time to receive delivery. I called and their delivery team explained they could hardly adjust their route. I explained all this to a worker at the store, and they told me I'd have to wait an additional several weeks to get the couch picked up and I wouldn't get my $1382.37 back until the couch cleared their system - essentially holding my $1382.37 hostage for a couch I don't want. Now I'm waiting an additional 8 days to get this couch picked up, and when they do, I'm back where I started with no couch and hours of wasted time with this company. Their manager, Alex, seemed quite content with this arrangement and made no effort to make things right. The worst experience I have ever had with a business. On 25MAY19, the company showed up to pick up the incorrect couch. I signed the receipt which acknowledged the deduction of $1129.98. I inquired with their delivery service why the difference and they told me to call the store. They are attempting to charge me for the delivery fee, for a couch I didn't order, pay for, want or agree to receive. This company is an absolute fraud, I've invested hours trying to get my money back. read more

Will not shop there again! My father is a disabled veteran with one leg. Took him in to buy a new bed. They were going to charge him $119.00 for delivery. I could rent a Uhaul cheaper than that! So sad to treat our veterans this way! Also they were going to put an 11 day hold on his check. With the technology we have today that is absurd! It was on a local bank! I went into Ashley ready to purchase a sectional sofa that I saw online. A sales person named Chris Willums approached me. I told him what I was looking for and he said they didn't have it in the showroom. I asked him if he could show me something comparable. He said they didn't have anything similar. He said they didn't have anything that had the same type of fabric or feel. Then he went on to say that Ashley was the worlds second largest furniture retailer. But they couldn't get a fabric sample? He proceeded to ask if I was going to buy a couch or not. I asked him how I was supposed to buy a couch that I didn't know what it looked like or felt like? Then he started to mimic me. I was in total shock! I asked to speak to his store manager and he replied with "I am the store manager". Something just didn't seem right so I asked another sales associate if Chris Willums was the store manager and she laughed and said "no". I have since bought a new couch and it definitely wasn't from Ashley. Very disappointed in the service I received from Chris Willums from Ashley Furniture in Columbus, GA. read more

I bought a bedroom suite that cost slightly over $4,000 with the WARRANTY and everything. It's only been 2 years and the frame (structure) of the bed broke from "normal wear and tear". This poorly made, cheap material broke in that short amount of time. Called to get it fixed and they considered it normal wear and tear. It took almost a week to hear back from someone. They offered nothing except for me to pay out of pocket for a new frame. I will NEVER buy anything else from here. I have no idea how they have been in business this long. The sales manager at this store makes it clear that he cares more about sales numbers than he does about the employees or the customers. He actually tried to pressure my husband and I into making a large sectional purchase, regardless of the fact that I wasn't sure that it would even fit. My husband and I have dealt with them often buying many pieces of furniture but not anymore. First, we waited 2 weeks for a couch to be delivered and when they got to our place it was the wrong couch. We already tossed our other couch so we asked if they could do something sine we had a ton of company coming the next day. They said they would bring us another couch between 3-5... After many hours and phone calls- no couch. We waited until 7:15 and they never showed. I am livid!!! The manager says the loaner couch will be delivered tomorrow-in the middle of company at my house!!!! We'll see... I only hope they order me the correct couch this time. They have lost my business. I was told they would arrive between 1-4pm. When I didn't receive any call stating they were on their way at 3:45 I called them. The personnel told me they were running late! Delivery arrived around 4:30. The delivery men were wonderful, ONLY two men on truck. I love the items purchased. The delivery men had a rough go of it though, during that time there was a terrible storm. They had to wait about 30-40 minutes due to the stormy weather. read more
