Updated review: We had a good experience here last year so we decided to go back when we started looking for a bed set. We went during the memorial day sale-- they had extended it an additional week. WOW-- great sales! We found a set we really loved and had a great experience with another sales person-- Jose Molina. He was PHENOMENAL. He had come from the warehouse and he knew SO MUCH about each piece. We asked him a lot of questions and he answered every one of them! We found a set we had loved but told him we needed to check other places first. He gave us our card and we were on our way. We went to every other place-- Ikea, Diamond, the Dump, and Raymour... none had as good sales or service. We went back the next day ready to purchase the set we fell in love with. When we were waiting for Jose to run the numbers-- I accidentally stumbled upon another set that was hidden.. and was even cheaper and included EVERYTHING. We paid $1300 for a king bed set, two nightstands, two dressers, and a mirror..... free delivery and 60 month financing. I know it isn't the best quality furniture but when you spend about $1400. On 6 dining chairs, you would think it would last more than 2 years and if you buy a 5 year warranty then you are at least safe for 5 years...Right? Absolutely NOT with these companies! In 2023 a leg broke and my extended 5 yr warranty covered a replacement. Replacements came in pairs. A few months later another leg broke & luckily I had the extra leg from the pair they sent. 2 years later another chair leg broke and now long story short, Ashley sold my 5 yr warranty contract to Value City and they said the chair was discontinued likely due to so many issues. They can't get replacement parts. Furthermore they said in the fine print of my warranty, it says if the product is discontinued then it voids the warranty and they won't do anything for me. So now I have no way of replacing this chair to match so I have to get a completely different chair or buy a whole new set. They wouldn't even offer store credit for a chair. I had no idea the core of the chair legs is cheap plastic. read more

It is a 3rd party that repairs but the prompt service and prompt ordering of parts is phenomenal!!! We had Tyler come out 2 different times and what a GREAT guy . Very patient and very honest. The furniture I ordered arrived damaged twice. And the delivery people don't seem to care. When bringing your issue to the showroom they pass the buck to distribution because the showroom only handles sales (ie. The already have your money). As I customer I shouldn't have to differentiate between sales and distribution. I should have the ability to bring up my issue with someone in person and not have to spend my time following up for an issue I did not cause and already spent money on. I would give zero stars. Bought living room furniture October 2, 2021, paid in full. I was told it would take 3 months. The 3 months came and went, I called, they didn't call me. I was given no answers of delivery or expected arrival. I waited another 3 weeks, I called again, no answers. At 5 months, I had enough, I cancelled the order and received a full refund. Sales lady was amazing! However, the delivery dates were over a month late. I am VERY unhappy with the delivery service. On the day of delivery, I was given a delivery time of between 11am-3pm. I called the store at 2:50pm for a status update and they were in the process of loading my furniture at that moment and still had two deliveries before they even get to me. The store is literally less than a mile from my house. A complete waste of my day. I have been waiting for this furniture for almost 3 months. Delivery service is unsatisfactory. Suggestion: Give people more accurate times or call them half way through their timeframe with a delivery status update. Common courtesy and better business practice. Update: When told it would take a month and it takes three to have a chest "made to order", I expect it to be perfect and functional upon arrival. The sliding door on my daughters chest was made with cheap plastic parts, not metal! The plastic "rollers" didn't align with the door to where the door fell off and would not stay on the plastic track. Thank goodness I got the piece on sale and not full price. If it were made with metal hardware and the back was not two pieces of nailed in cardboard, it would be worth the full price. It's not. read more

Horrible quality furniture! I paid $1000 for a "bonded leather" sofa from them. Bonded my a$$. It's crappy FAKE leather that after about a year of use has peeled off and is crumbling and falling apart and the sofa now looks like junk. I'm gonna have to buy something else. I went to the store to discuss it and they were all sympathetic and appalled at the condition of my sofa. But in the end, and all I got were empty promises and lies. Store manager, Ralph Valerio, who said he'd help me, never did and blew me off. Never called me back. They don't care about customer satisfaction. Do yourself a favor and avoid shopping here. Buyer beware. This furniture is very low quality. Expect to replace your everyday items every two years at l least. Take it from me, I bought what I thought was a really nice sofa & love seat, as well as counter height chairs for my island in 2019. My sofas have multiple holes and several zippers have broken. As for the chairs, the legs have broken. I purchased the extended warranty and filed a claim. I was told that because I reported two many items with issues at once, they had to deny my entire claim. As I suggested to the representative, perhaps the issue here is that these are real low quality items not built to withstand everyday wear and tear or there is simply a manufacturers defect. Please take your money and go elsewhere! Also, if you purchased the warranty, report an issue asap. I was also informed that I was denied as well because I had 5 days to report and issue. I was not made of aware of this policy when I made my purchase in 2019. I was also never given any warranty paperwork. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS ASHLEY!!!!! I wish I could give less than a 1 like -10! I was buying a chair for my son and trying to have it delivered on a day when I could be there from out of town. I went round and round with the Salesperson about delivery and was told he emailed the corporate office and spoke to his operations manager about accommodating my late afternoon delivery. Stupidly trusting them at their word, I paid for the chair online thru a Value City webpay. They took my $$$ and now they cannot accommodate my request. No one will be home to accept the delivery at the time they are giving me and now they told me that I am not entitled to a refund once they attempt delivery. The manager, Manny, basically called his own salesperson a liar when I told him I had a text from the salesperson outlining the arrangement. He told me the salesperson never spoke to a manager. He refuses to refund my money and told me I had to come in. Funny that they took the payment over the phone without an issue but now that I want to cancel the order, they need me there. I also learned thru another review here that they will only issue a store credit. I was not told that and there is nothing on the receipt stating that. Now I am going to fly in on Monday instead of Wednesday get my money back. read more

We ordered a bedroom set on October 22, 2021 and was told it would be in by February '22. The dresser came in on January 11 and was delivered, but damaged. I accepted it because Ashley told me that they would be delivering us a new drawer. I have been paying for a damaged piece of furniture for the last 3 months and still No dresser drawer. We got notification that the bed would not be delivered until the end of May '22. Once I found what I wanted the associate had me file for financing. She waited till after everything was submitted to tell me that the couch was now discontinued. So now I have a hard inquiry on my credit report and an account with Wells Fargo for no reason what so ever. I asked the manager why the couch was found discontinued after my credit was ran and his best reply was "We expect you to understand these situations happen and that it's comical." Ashley Home Store in Turnersville, NJ: Terrible customer service! Purchased a $4000 mattress. The sales rep seemed very knowledgeable, told him my husband had mobility issues. Got the mattress a month later. He can not sleep in this mattress! He feels like he is being smothered every night. Called the store, told we had to wait 30 days to exchange. Night time has become a complete nightmare, called the store again to speak to the store manager (who has 0 compassion) We were 7 days from the 30th day. Asked if there was anyway he would allow us to exchange sooner. Mind you it will take another month to actually receive the mattress. Was told No, he would and could not make an exception. Tried calling their corporate office, come to find out each store is privately owned. They can pretty much do whatever they want. They also have nothing to do with the online store. I bought a huge sectional couch an end table and a coffee table that lifts up. The prices weren't too bad for what I bought. The couch had a "bumper to bumper warranty for 5 years which I'm sure is hard to actually get something covered or replaced in such a case. Overall love the couch and tables it's been 4 years since I purchased them and I am very pleased with my purchase. The salesman was not pushy or lingering over me to just make a sale which was good. I like my space and time to make decisions on large purchases. I also signed up for the line of credit that was 0% for 5 years. That was the second biggest plus for me next to the quality of my purchase. 4 years later my 4 yo son definitely test the wear and tear on the couch and so far so good. My son did scratch up the table but who buys a soft wooden table w a toddler between the ages of 2-5 and doesn't expect scratches all over it. THIS PLACE IS A SCAM. The employees are all friendly but completely unresponsive or uncaring when it comes to being dissatisfied with service. For 3 weeks I would get 2 calls per week telling me my items would be delivered at the end of the week. Then they wouldn't show and I'd call and they'd tell me "oh they're coming next week." REALLY?? ABSOLUTE WORST EXPERIENCE. I purchased a bedroom set in early October. It is currently December 1st and I've been told week after week that it "should be arriving next week". Because of this, I have not sought out other options because I have been led on that my furniture is on the way and given and estimate. I spoke with someone in customer service today who told me the furniture was in store and ready for delivery, and actually scheduled a delivery date. Then I called the actual Turnersville store to understand why I hadn't been notified by my sales person, Jim, and they told me the furniture was not actually there and they didn't know why customer service would tell me that. I have no idea what is going on between the stores and customer service center and they don't seem to either. Jim then called me back, and said that he wasn't expecting the order to arrive until January at this point. I told him I wanted to cancel the order because of the ridiculous wait, and he said the only option was store credit. I absolutely refused this option and asked for a manager and was put on the phone with a woman who very easily told me my order could be cancelled. AGAIN, Jim was feeding me bullshit so I wouldn't cancel the order. I have been strung along for 6 weeks now with no end in sight. Could not be more unhappy with this experience. Both of my roommates got very similar sets to mine from Bob's Furniture in Deptford and they were delivered and at our apartment within 3 days from ordering. I would NEVER recommend anyone else go to Ashley's based on this experience. Not to mention all the added fees that I paid that I was not expecting that my roommates did not have to deal with either. Went in just to browse and found a three piece sofa we loved and Mike helped us through everything with ease! Mike is a great sale person while so not making us feel pressured about buying. We also found a bar high top table we liked and bought it; however, the next day we found one we loved at the Ashley outlet in deptford and we called mike and asked him to help us. DO NOT SHOP HERE. They continue to run sales when they have no furniture. And once you leave the store and they get your money, you no longer matter. I ordered my furniture in the beginning of August and they immediately charged my card but I still don't have any furniture. They don't update you and your delivery date will not be correct. My furniture has now been pushed back from the first week of September to the end of October and I'm sure it will continue to be pushed back. I was told two weeks ago that my furniture was on the truck by corporate and the store so it makes no sense that it is pushed back again unless they are giving my furniture away. They claim that it's because not all of the pieces are in but our sales person told us that it would be delivered in two deliveries if they were missing pieces. Corporate tells you one thing and they tell you another. It's inconsistent and beyond frustrating to work with them. They don't communicate, they lie, and they are not helpful at all. read more

I will never purchase anything else from Ashley Furniture. I made two big purchases with this store and I have had items delivered broken and unrepairable. Purchased a sleeper and waited several months for delivery. Conveniently the location didn't have a sample in the showroom but I needed a sleeper. Now I know why they didn't have any sleeper samples. The sleeper squeaks (like a whoopie cushion) when you sit on it because of the space between the cushion and the metal frame. Ashley Furniture technician came to inspect and said there is nothing that they can do. Received a call from the rep and was told the same thing. There is nothing that can be done because some sleepers make that sound and they don't know which ones do and don't make the sound. "I asked to return the sleeper for a non-sleeper (same brand) and was told I needed to do that 3-days after it was delivered. It, honestly, sounds like a whoopie cushion. It will be never-ending embarrassing to have guests sit on it. I paid over $1K for a whoopie cushion. I have had issues with the furniture I purchased from Ashley furniture since day 1 of receipt. I am extremely disappointed with Ashley Furniture and will never purchase another item from this furniture store. The quality is low standard. Buyer Beware. If its not in the showroom don't buy it. Extremely Poor Customer Service Experience at the Ashley Furniture store located at 5851 Rt-42, #17, Blackwood, NJ 08012 My experience with Ashley furniture is somewhat bitter sweet. Walking around the showroom and dealing with the salesperson was a very pleasant, if not enjoyable experience, however, my follow up experience with the manager" MANNIE" has been deplorable, to say the least. I had purchased an entire living room set and was informed that my furniture would be delivered before the Christmas holiday and everything was in stock and ready for delivery. A few days after the purchase, we get a call from the salesperson who now informs me that there is a delay with one piece of furniture and it running a day later than expected but will definitely be there before the Christmas holiday. A few more days go by and I get yet another call now informing me that they are still missing one piece of furniture and it now won't be delivered until AFTER the holiday. The sales person was trying everything in her power to come up with solutions to the problem however she couldn't make the final decision and transferred me the the so called manager of the store "MANNIE" Well, "MANNIE" had more excuses for not being able to resolve the problem and treated me as if it was not his problem and that the policies of the store were followed and there was " NOTHING" he could do to change things. He never apologized for the inconvenience or tried to offer something for the inconvenience that Ashley had caused. All I have left to say is " MANNIE" is not qualified for the position he is in and needs to learn how to serve the customer (the person with the $$$ ).  I could care less about their policies.  My policy is that I don't do business with companies that don't treat me with respect and give me value for my money.  If something doesn't work, then just fix it. Stop making excuses!! If you don't know - then say "I don't know, but let me find out for you."  Companies are run by humans and humans make mistakes.  I don't judge them badly because they make a mistake.  It's how they resolve the mistake that matters. We went in to the store in south NJ and greeting by a few over anxious sales reps. We had been to other furniture stores in the area but selected and paid for a sofa and loveseat set. That was the the fourth of July weekend in 2020. After we PAID IN FULL, the delivery was on or about the end of August. That time frame came and went as did two or three more promised dates. I go so frustrated with the constant delays and no return phone calls to the manager that I went back to the store. The sales rep,,,,off, the manger,,,,too busy. Finally the set arrived in the middle of November, three months late and not a word from the sales rep nor the manager. Its obvious that their inventory management sucks and their communication skills are worse. They only care about the sale!!! I'll pay more and go to competition next time. Walked into the store knowing exactly what I was looking for and Jose immediately took care of me, without any of those pressuring sales pitches that I had recieved at other furniture stores the day before. Jose was also beyond patient with the little one that accompanied me who thought it was the greatest thing ever to try out every single couch in the store. I utilized their price match guarentee saving me well over $100 on my new couch for my new home.
