I would love to give Ashley Furniture Store no stars. Their service is terrible and they absolutely do not value their customers. The minute you are out the door or the furniture has been delivered, you are on your own. They don't honor the "incredible" warranties that they sell you on. After spending thousands of dollars on mattresses 7 months ago,one of the mattresses has developed a sink spot. Ashley sent techs out to check the mattress and I was told I have a valid claim. Now, Ashley doesnt want to warranty the mattress and Stearns and Foster won't warranty the mattress. I am stuck with a defective mattress and neither company will do anything to help. You should read all of the one star reviews. They all say basically the same thing. Ashley Furniture cant be trusted to help you. And they won't honor the warranties on their merchandise. I went to the Ashley Furniture store in Baton Rouge today to get a media cabinet to put a TV on as I am moving into my first apartment. Upon entering the store I was Greeted by Kevin. I told him what I was looking for and he showed me around. He was super patient and easy to talk to. He took pictures of furniture I liked so I could go back to it for reference as I was shopping. I found a Beautiful media cabinet and coffee table. The best part was it was on Sale! I also found a kitchen table and chairs I liked and those happened to be on sale as well. And to top it all off I was able to take it all home with me today and avoid the headache with scheduling a delivery. The guys helped me load what would fit in the back of my van and I went to unload those pieces. When I got back I was able to text Kevin and let him know I was back to get the rest of the furniture. He opened the loading dock and helped us figure out how to get the rest of my furniture to fit in my van. It was a fabulous shopping experience from beginning to end. Thank you so much Kevin. I would like to give them a -5! Worst experience EVER! First of all trying to get anyone there to help you is just about impossible! I finally was able to find someone to help me and picked out a sofa and purchased it on a Sunday. I requested that it be delivered the next Saturday. Waited ALL day for the delivery and nothing. Called at 3:30 to see when it would be delivered and was told they didn't have any record of the delivery. They then scheduled me for today - a week later! Guy comes up to my apartment to check out the apartment and see where I wanted place then he disappeared to go get the sofa. Waited for what seemed like an eternity and nothing.... About an hour later I get an email saying they couldn't deliver the sofa that it wouldn't fit in the elevator. Have they not heard of stairs? Have they NEVER delivered furniture above the first floor??? WORST SERVICE EVER!!! If they can't deliver my sofa I just want my money back!!! read more

Buyer beware!!!!!!!! I can't take away the great experience Alexis provided for me in store. However, that has been overshadowed by the awful customer service I've experienced during this ongoing delivery process. My order was supposed to be delivered on yesterday (2/14/25)between 1230 and 330. Never arrived. I contacted customer service to get details on the delivery as the online tracking system continued to give me a later and later ETA. Customer service transferred me to road support who could not reach the driver and after some time the associate hung up in my face. Unacceptable. I called customer service again and was informed my product was too big to fit in the delivery truck and was never out for delivery. I only received the false updates because my order was in the manifest to be delivered. I asked to speak with a manager and was put in contact with Jade Gould. She stated she would find out what was happening and give me a call back in 5-10 minutes. Never called back. I reached out to customer service again and Max stated my ordered had been picked up and out for delivery with an ETA of 606pm. Today is Saturday, 2/15/25 and I still don't have my product. I reached out to customer service again this morning and asked to speak with a supervisor, Truong stated a supervisor would get back to me within 3 hours. Those 3 hours have come and gone! Ashely's claim to be Americas #1 furniture company is laughable! I've been treated better by worst establishments. I am so fed up with Ashley's and the amount of misinformation I have been fed. The lack of communication is outrageous! I would never refer anyone here because the delivery process and customer service is by far the worst I've ever experienced! I still have zero answers! It's like they train their associates to string the customer along until they can figure it out. Seems like a huge game! And frankly, you can't play with a customer's time or money! I am outdone. I was like ok they can come and change it out, so a week later they scheduled to deliver it to us at 9 am the truck did not arrive till 4 pm and what would you know the guys arrived all mad and they DAMAGED MY TABLE! that was the third one. Took 9 months to get our furnitures and when it arrived, quality was not at par and hd some damages so hd to request for exchange and that took 3 more weeks of getting their act together. I have received a recall notice from Ashley Furniture that warned of a potential FIRE in the electrical system of a recliner I purchased. After 2 months and 7 phone calls, I have not received a single return call and just now when I tried to escalate with the recall answering service, they told me there was nothing the recall phone center could do as they had already escalated this 4 times! I then called Ashley's customer service and was told they don't deal with recall issues! So around and around we go with no help from any quarter. However, I am not a quitter so I will write this review in hopes someone else will think twice before buying furniture from someone who is in the business of not servicing their customers when there is a potentially life-threatening situation. I will also reach out to the local newspaper as the public loves the David vs. Goliath story. Lastly, if permitted, I will sue them in small claims court for a full refund. That probably is not permitted since they are not in the same city as I am but at least it gets their name associated with a lawsuit all in hopes the next person does not fall for these same games. We went to Ashley to purchase a bed frame and sectional after having visited a few other places. We searched around a gentleman helped us out. We didn't find both in our price range, but were able to find a sectional for $1,600 that met our needs and we liked, coupled with a bed frame on Amazon that kept us under budget. We signed the paperwork, but were told it wouldn't be delivered to the house for 2 months. We just moved to town and bought a house, so we needed furniture. That wasn't an acceptable option, so I asked if I could pick it up myself. Sure could, it would be ready for pick up in 4 days on Friday. Friday comes and I have not received a phone call, text message, or email as to when or where to pick up our new sectional. I call their store, but they didn't answer. I called several times to no avail. It was as if I was on a permanent hold waiting for someone to answer who didn't exist. What choice did I have? I drive the 30 minutes to Ashley only for them to have confused looks on their faces and tell me I have to pick up my item from the Gonzales location....... then they look up my order and they tell me it hasn't even been ordered so the Gonzales location doesn't have one on sight for me to pick up. They pass the buck onto the salesmen for his mistake, but gave me 15% off. Okay. Sure. Once it's cleared up I find out I would be contacted by the Gonzales location to schedule me a week out to pick up my sectional. Not for it to be delivered, for me to pick it up. Not a great option, but I've already dropped a large sum of money and I have other things to do. My wife asked if we could look at the Furniture Liquidators at 16818 Florida Blvd, so I said sure. Why not? We drove there right after Ashley's bungling of our purchase and arrived at 4:45pm. Less than an hour later we had a great and comparable sectional in our living room (30mins away) for $500 less. Now I'm left with the problem of canceling my order. No big deal right? Wrong. I call them, I call their HQ line-- nothing. The call sits on an endless hold or gets dropped. It's as if it's a fake line to screw with people, as if they think because I'm purchasing furniture I must have nothing going on in my life. So.... I drive back again. I walk in and talk to a young lady who remembered me from the day prior. The cancellation was fast and easy, and she was "sad" it didn't work out. The whole 5-10 minutes I was there I heard a quiet phone ringing on their desk. I could see two phones on the desk, but the two employees had no care in the world that the phone was ringing. It was as if it wasn't even happening. It might as well been a dove singing them a delightful song. I ordered an entertainment in mid July from this location (in person). They said at the time of purchase that they are experiences delivery delays, and said it would reach me for 6 weeks. They were also nice enough to give me a small discount on the order because of this. Fast forward to late August, and I have not heard a SINGLE update from them. No automated text/email service saying your order is delayed. The date passes on when its supposed to arrive. I call customer service and they say its going to be AT LEAST ANOTHER MONTH. I have called the customer service multiple times and no one has been able to say when my item is getting here. The only thing they can do is put in a ticket to have someone from the store call me. I have done this twice and have not received a call. Delaying the order an extra month after it was supposed to arrive is unacceptable. It has been roughly 8 weeks since I spent several hundred dollars on an item that I have not received yet (and no indication of when it will get here). They basically robbed me at this point. If I could not rate a star that would be my review! I ordered my sectional from the store on Airline 3/26/20. It was delivered on 3/28 but the couch part of the sectional was broken. The delivery guy not only tried to hook it up to the sectional after seeing it was broken, he tried to get me to keep it until the delivered a new one. I told him to take it and called Ashley and was told the new one was ordered and would be delivered Wednesday that next week. Here we are, a month later and I still have half of a couch!!! Went in and spent $2k then called the next day to have another item added to my delivery ticket. I was told that it couldn't be delivered, which is fine. The plot twist is that I was told to pick up the item... but to not go through the main entrance to retrieve it unless I was going to purchase something else. *mind-blown* The salesperson told me to go in through the employee entrance around the side of the store and then the person proceeded to text a picture of the employee entrance to my cell phone. They called day of to tell me they just didn't have the mattress so they couldn't deliver it. Flash forward to the next week - they show up at the house without the mattress in the truck... If I could give this company ZERO stars I would. We bought a new bed frame from this store that cost 2k. We paid for it to be delivered. It wasn't delivered by the store it was delivered by 2 guys who had no clue what they were doing. They banged it against my walls getting it into my bedroom which is an issue which is besides my whole point. After they put it together and left I realized the upholstery had a large long gash all the way across the bottom of the footboard. After many phone calls and no help what we basically got was that it was the last bed of that kind and I would have to pick another one. If the one I found that I would settle for was less than the price of the one that I WANTED ( we didn't like any others they had to offer and we picked all of our other decor to tie in with the bed) I would have to find some lamps or something cause they could not just the cost. I found this completely ridiculous. First that they would sell us the last bed of it's kind in the country with no warning or discount and secondly because today when we went to talk to them in person at the store because that was the ONLY way you could talk to the store they still had the display on the floor. They said they could not switch the display out for our damaged. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!!! We will not stop until we get what is fair. Lots of money time and headaches and nothing to show for it thus far. I'll come back and update this if they do what is right. DO NOT MAKE THE MISTAKE TO PURCHASE FURNITURE FROM THIS COMPANY. They might make you feel like you are getting a great "deal" but the minute they swipe your card they are SCREWING YOU. The customer service is absolutely horrible. Takes over an hour to finally get on the phone with someone - and to make it even worse they now give you a 15 minute limit to stay on wait and then after that they force you to leave a voicemail... that will NEVER GET ANSWERED / RESPONDED TO. For such a large store I would have thought the customer service and overall experience would have been totally different, but I was extremely disappointed and wrong. First the dining set I wanted to order was $485 on 06/03/2020... within less than 24 hours the price increased to $779 on 06/04/2020. I begged to order in store however they would not match the price online as they claimed the online website was not the same as the Ashley Furniture store?? The sales rep then proceeded to explain to me that the price of the furniture changes every day and that it's really "a game" that I have to play in order to get the best price. Real nice. Also ordered 2 barstools in store because they gave me a pretty great deal on them - needless to say the wrong height barstools were delivered to my house, and when I went all the way out of my way back to the store to resolve the issue (SINCE THEY DO NOT ANSWER THE PHONE) ... turned out the sales rep coded them incorrectly and had ordered the shorter height for me. The workers showed no remorse at the fact that it was their mistake and just expected me to be fine with it and were so inconsiderate when I explained that I would have to make another hour and a half trip for them to deliver the correct chairs. Great furniture, horrible service after the sale! I manage a fulfillment department for a very large online retailer and fully understand the supply chain issues that Covid-19 put on the world market but that does not explain the complete lack of professionalism Ashely exhibits as a whole. I love their response that this is not the norm to the overwhelming number of 1-star reviews professing when the sheer proportion of negative reviews directly contradicts this proclamation. Our story goes like this... We purchased an entire living room set back in October and were told that some items were several weeks out and others as much as 8-10 weeks out. Completely understood and made arrangements to sell our old set to a local acquaintance. Sure enough, in about 4 weeks we received notice (email & txt) that our couch and one table were ready for delivery in 2 days. I sent acceptance confirmation to both notices and contacted our buyer. The morning of the scheduled delivery I received an "out on the truck" notice and a delivery window of 12:30 to 3:30 PM. Our buyer came over and picked up our old furniture that morning leaving our living room completely devoid of any seating, tables or lighting. Around 3:15 PM I sat outside, anxiously waiting for our delivery. Around 4:30, with no truck in sight and no notice, I called the customer service. The person I spoke with was very helpful, putting me on hold several times, and told me it was on the truck and she would contact them to get in touch with me, must be running late. Around 5:30 I called again. This time the CS rep called the warehouse - my order was not on the truck and had been cancelled. Each of these calls took approximately 20 minutes to go through. I went to the store the next day (a Friday) and the manager indicated that the couch was still in Texas but assured me he would follow-up personally and contact me Monday morning concerning the status of my furniture. No call Monday, or Tuesday. Wednesday I went back up to the store. He looked at me like I was from Mars and I had to remind him of my situation. We didn't get our couch for almost another 2 weeks and with nothing in our living room, had to live in our bedroom for 3 weeks. Despite this, we still ordered a complete bedroom and dining set while we were there since we had a good line of credit and it is quality product. The dining set arrived in about 6 weeks with no incident. They unpacked ands et up as they had done with the couch and one table when they delivered. The bedroom set had to be left in the living room because we had to sell our old set and waited until the new set arrived, not wanting to get stuck with nowhere to sleep. I have COPD and a heart stint, and I told this to the delivery people. They did not unpack but just wheeled it in the door and left it in an unorganized group. I had to unpack and move it all into the area I spent all morning cleaning out for them to place it. Turns out one of the dressers sustained damage, visible on the box, and when I went to set up the bed several weeks later - they had delivered the wrong slats. I had to go to Home Depot and buy lumber and create my own slats so we could sleep in a bed that night. We did get a discount on the damaged unit (I took pictures when I spotted it after the delivery people bailed). When our living room chair finally delivered almost 4 months later, they unpacked and set it up but didn't test it (a power recliner) like they did the couch. Come to find out the power unit didn't even exist. I called the delivery team back and they asked me if I had looked everywhere. They finally came back and validated that there was no power module with the unit. I had to go up to the store myself and ask them to provide a power unit. Finally, We still had not yet received the $500+ rug or table lamps and I went up to the store yesterday to cancel. We can get some delivered in 3 days form another outlet. Come to fins out, Asley had cancelled them 2 weeks earlier! We had received no notice of their cancelation although their automated emails still hit my inbox with all their astounding offers. Be aware, Ashley is an international entity. Their delivery and customer service departments are corporate level and completely independent from the local store you purchased from. Any calls will process through this corporate level service. Using the local store number online actually put me directly to this corporate system and not the store. Once the store has your sale, it is out of their hands and you become a meaningless number to them. Ashley is the absolute worst company I have dealt with in all of my 60+ years of doing business. My experience with Ashley has been by far the WORST experience EVER. In the store we were helped very well, but as it relates to our delivery it's been a nightmare. We have took off from work 5 days total only to find out our complete order was not there. Called for assistance, received misleading info. Asked for manager, was told one would call, no response. Cannot in good conscience recommend the Airline Hwy store in Baton Rouge. Our salesman was great. Kudos to him. But the store itself and the company are run very poorly. On Labor Day 2020, we ordered a complete dining room suite. It was supposed to come in before Thanksgiving, then right after Thanksgiving. Then it would be late December, then mid-January. Finally, our salesman called us to notify us that some of the pieces were no longer available and would not be made. And, sadly, there are no substitutes. Ashley would not be fulfilling orders paid for in good faith four months ago. We went to the store in person to cancel our order. This was on a Sunday. We were told by a manager that no one could issue the refund to our credit card until Tuesday. That seemed strange and very unprofessional. Only one person can do a credit card refund and only comes in once a week? What kind of business model is this? Today is Tuesday. I called the store to check the status of our refund only to be told that our order had not been canceled. That someone would contact me within 24-48 hours. In effect, we gave Ashley a few thousand dollars in an interest free loan: we don't have the furniture and still don't have the refund. And I'm starting to be concerned that getting our refund is going to take great effort on our part. This is a very poor way to run a business. read more

Will NEVER do business with this store. We were ready to purchase a dining room set TODAY FOR CASH. Then we were told their delivery (or as they call it White Glove Service) is $200 dollars!!!! When we offered to negotiate they said "No". We then asked about warranty on the pieces and they said "you only get a warranty if you get the white glove service". What a crock of $hit! We told them where to put the white glove and left!! So disappointing when stores like VWatts and Town&Country offer delivery at $40-60 for everything you purchase. read more

I had already posted a review on Ashley's Furniture on Airline Hwy in Baton Rouge La. I had received an email for extra info so they can check on my problem. I sent in requested info and all the representative mentioned was a missing chest. This store is the absolute worse. I will never shop there again. My experience with Ashley Furniture was terrible. They never delivered my furniture and there were so many miscommunications between the sales and delivery departments. I ordered a $2,000 bedroom set but ended up having to sleep on the floor because I got rid of my old furniture upon the day of my alleged delivery date. They told me it would not come for another week!!! I cancelled my whole order due to the unprofessional and I undependable service I was given.
