Could not locate my salesperson (said he was there) and no one else could simply look up the order for me. I wasn't sure of my salesperson's name so I wanted to provide her with some additional context. She said he would call me back and hung up on me. Now I wait for a phone call back.... Growing tired of pathetic customer service and lack of staffing.

I ordered a couch from Ashley Furniture and paid to have it delivered. NOT ONCE did they say they only go up to floor three in an apartment or if it doesn't fit in the elevator, they would return the furniture. A piece of the couch did not fit in the elevator, so the guys tried to take my entire couch back rather than using the stairwell. I called the Ashley Furniture store we bought the couch from and they offered to pay the driver extra money to take the longer piece up the stairs. The driver refused, and proceeded to say he won't take their taxed money, only take cash from customers. I had to kick the guy out of my building because I felt so uncomfortable. I then received a call from Ashley Furniture/Furniture Mart customer care and the lady promised me reimbursement on the delivery and to find a crew to take it up the five flights at no extra cost to me. She told me she would call the next day to reschedule and I missed the call. I call back the customer care team and get an AWFUL dude on the phone telling me I don't get any of my money back, I have to pay for the extra flights of stairs, and I should go buy a smaller couch. I asked to speak to a manager and he REFUSED. His exact words were, "There's nothing a manager can do that I can't do." I hung up on that idiot and called back later to speak with someone else. The lady was very apologetic and promised a Director of the company would call me by end of day tomorrow. NO ONE CALLED. So I then call again and get another sweet lady who is also so sorry this all happened and sent me to a lead. The lead could do absolutely nothing for me so again, I asked for a Manager to call me by the next day. The next day comes and I FINALLY ended up speaking to the director and was still told I had to pay THREE HUNDRED DOLLARS to get my couch up five flights, or buy a smaller couch. THIS COMPANY HAS THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE AND PROMISE YOU THINGS THEY WON'T KEEP!

If I could give this business less than 1 star I probably would. It's saddens me to make that statement as I am one to try and find the best in all situations. However, Mattress Firm, it's staff, and owners have left me feeling defeated. We initially purchased a mattress in December 2021. The salesman, Jim was super attentive and recommended what he called a superior mattress. We chose to go with the mattress and low and behold he had one on "sale". Jim even made sure to explain the warranty police's, etc and in dong so sold me an overpriced mattress protector (Amazon/Target sells better and cheaper ones) to keep the bed safe from stains or damage that would void the warranty. This was a substantial purchase for us and we left the store feeling good. So good, that I went back and purchased two more mattresses from a different salesperson. My second purchase was the complete opposite. While the salesman was nice enough he wasn't as detailed as Jim and didn't go over warranties or mattress pads or any other info. Fast forward to now. The initial mattress we purchased has a manufacturer defect. Within 3 months one side had completely broken down and even my two year old cannot lay on the mattress without rolling off onto the floor, an extremely dangerous situation in itself. After several calls to Simmons, Mattress Firm Corp, and Mattress Firm Sioux Falls (who did not return my call) we are left than nothing more than a waste of $3000. Each company keeps blaming the other and it turns out Jim's "sale price" was an actual clearance, and clearance voids any warranty. Which is confusing since he gave us all of the instructions on how to care for the mattress in the event it needed to be warrantied. He never indicated this product came with zero guarantees. We never would have taken the large financial risk had it been known there was zero warranty on the product. Especially when there are much more affordable mattresses on the market with better warranties. I'm literally the person who buys the fabric/protection package for furniture so I never would have made such a large purchase without a guarantee. Again I'm truly saddened by the situation I definitely feel like the customer service stops when the sale is made. I truly feel like this was a deceitful situation from the get go as the reviews for these overpriced mattresses are terrible. There are many people in similar situations as ours. I feel like Simmons as well as Mattress Firm knew these were subpar products and were doing their best to unload them on consumers. Please make sure not to be bamboozled by mattress firm like we were. I'm truly happy for those who had a great experience but that wasn't the case for us.

BUYER BEWARE...READ ME...DO NOT RECOMMEND PURCHASING FROM MATTRESS FIRM ON 41ST STREET!!  Not even…read morea year after my purchase, the side of the bed completely collapsed.  Attempted to file a warranty claim with the manufacturer (Simmons Beautyrest) who said they wouldn't warranty our bed because the receipt from Mattress Firm (MF) said clearance item. They recommended contacting MF directly.  When we purchased the bed from MF, we were told to also purchase a $200 mattress protector in the event we needed to file a warranty claim. We were never told that purchasing a bed that was on sale/clearance meant we were exempt from making a warranty claim.  I called Mattress Firm (41st Street) and spoke to an associate who said the best they could do was to offer me 30% off a new purchase at their store. I am not sure why after spending almost $3,700 on a bed from their store,  I should have to spend even more money due to mfg defect?? I asked the associate to have the owner (Paul) call me so I could discuss the situation with him. Several weeks have gone by with no return phone call from the owner.  After you pay for your bed, this place is crickets if you have any problems (no help whatsoever). In addition to the $3.7k purchase, we also at the time (December 2021) purchased two queen beds from this store for our kids.  What a mistake!! Take your business elsewhere unless you like spending big money on beds and then getting screwed when there is a problem. Highly recommend checking out Costco as they have a no-BS return policy.

10 Years ago, when I needed to furnish my new house, I bought over 50% of my furniture from here…read more The gentleman that was my salesman has since left. He made furniture shopping pleasurable. After he left I looked at getting curtains and the woman that helped me was pushy and didn't listen to what I wanted. 2 years ago I popped in because I was looking for a new bedroom set for my condo. I walked the whole Floor before being greeted by a woman. She treated me like I was wasting her time and didn't have enough money to spend in the store. I saw a set I liked but knew I didn't want to deal With her so I left. Fast forward to last week... my daughter was given a $1000 gift card for Montgomery's when they closed on their first home. One day, while out and about doing other things and not really dressed up, they stopped in to look to see what Montgomery's has to offer now. The woman that greeted her and her fiancé was nothing short of rude and condescending. They left and gave me a call. I told them to go to Madison or Watertown. They went to Madison and had a much better experience. Word to Management... treat every customer with respect. Not everyone is able to afford your Sioux Falls store but they are going to be talking to friends, family and at work about how they were treated.
