They do not charge a deposit but they do charge a credit check of about 75 per person (even if you are a married couple) and charge about 220 in application fee. All of which are non-refundable. Dishonest management. They claimed they were holding the apartment for us when we never signed a lease or even officially applied for a lease or sent them proof of employment, all of which is needed for the application to be processed and to move in!!! Very dishonest. Refused to refund the application fee. My opinion, better to pay a deposit, as at least it is refundable. Located near the train tracks and not far from low income housing. People in the city all say this is a sketchy place to be and management is very difficult to deal with. There are other much better options in the city.

I don't like being negative... I stayed at Pinecrest for a few years had no problems, no complaints at all. Until this happened. I had to end my contract due to my job moving to Texas. I provided documentation to end the lease as requested by Mrs. Julie. I left on the 5th of the month she wanted to charge me $600 just for that one day. As I was going to speak with her. Her husband stated that she was asleep and cannot be bothered. I informed him I had to leave the same day and I can't wait. He stated that she would call. Never got a call back. Which I thought was okay, she waived it. Well a few days later. I received notification from a realtor she stated that I left the house damaged. Which I was not aware of or informed by her at all. I recommend that you take pictures of the place when you arrive there and email it to yourself so that you can have the date and time and when you leave take another image of it and again email it to yourself.
