If I could give zero stars I would. This has been the most horrible experience trying to resolve my concern. I have gone to the store, talked to the very dismissive manager who only directed me to their call centre. He was extremely rude to me & had zero compassion for my issues. I have followed up with him 3 times & no response. My issue still is not resolved. There is no way of getting a hold of anyone in the store so I have no choice but to take time out of my day to go in again. I made a $5,000 purchase & opted for the 6 month financing but the salesperson messed up & put 3 months & we are now being charged interest. When I went in to get this resolved they put in a ticket & said it would be taken care of. A month later & it still is not. The bank has heard nothing from Ashley. At this point we want to return all of our furniture as they don't deserve a penny from us. read more

I have made purcahes from this location and other Ashley stores in the past. I have had no complain with the sales staff.......until now. My wife and I were looking for an accent piece. Maybe because it wasn't a large purchase the salesperson just wanted to run the order through without explaining what we we buying. The accent piece had a candle and decorrive stornes and the card price (more like over priced) made you think the you were getting the hold thing. I was so disappointed with the bait and switch we felt the store. We waited a couple of days. I thought maybe the store just had bad karma that day. Nope. The staff member just wanted to be an order taker. No interest in our needs, no help and no sale. I like the furniture but next time I just buy online and not be treated poorly. read more

I will begin by saying that I love our furniture! However, the salesman there is extremely pushy and makes the entire experience exhausting. After purchasing a bedroom set with Vytas, who assured us he was getting us a great deal and suggesting we opt for the white glove delivery service for an extra fee, we soon came to realize it is all a scam and a sales pitch. My boyfriend, who is extremely handy, agreed to using the assembly service only because Vytas told us that if there were any issues, the delivery men would take it and replace it that day. We left the store feeling happy and like we got a great deal. After deciding to upgrade our bedroom furniture to a king size, we went back to the store to look for king mattresses. After just having visited Sleep Country, it was more apparent to us how Vytas was saying whatever he could to make a sale. We went in knowing what we wanted and he would laugh off what we said, especially when we told him we are not interested in financing the mattress. He said "really??? No one wants to pay it all at once." We knew at that moment he was purely in it for his own gain and couldn't trust anything he was saying, despite him reassuring us repeatedly that he's been selling mattresses for over 25 years. Anyways, we went back to Sleep Country and paid more for a mattress simply because we didn't want to give Vytas the sale. Anyways, the furniture arrived and the chest was damaged. The "white glove" service that was explained to us was not what happened - they left the damaged furniture and scheduled for a technician to come. So now I had to take off work to wait for a technician. Had we known this, we would never have paid more for a service that simply brought up pre-assembled night stands and a chest and a bed that had four screws. I spoke with Holly, who works at the store and she was extremely helpful and has remedied the situation for us. If you go to this location - steer clear of Vytas. read more

I will never be buying from Ashley's again after this horrible experience I have had. I purchased an expensive set of sofas only for my sofa to arrive damaged. Upon delivery, the sofa is visibly damaged and noted by the delivery personel. I noted to the delivery men that I would not be signing off and to have them return the damaged sofa and bring back a new one since that IS what I paid for! They informed me to get in touch with the store and arrange for this to happen. From there it has been nothing short of a nightmare to deal with their customer service line. Multiple emails and several calls, and I still have a damaged sofa sitting in my living room with no intention from them to pick up and replace with new one. They informed me that they will fix this sofa and can not replace with a new one. I did not pay for a refurbished model or a damaged sofa, I paid full amount for a new sofa and entitled to one! This purchase has been an absolute regret and I am now taking it to consumers Canada since Ashley's does not want to rectify the situation themselves. The sofa arrived damaged and they expect me to pay for it. This is not fair trade and I'm appalled by their lack of customer service skills. This company is clearly not after the satisfaction of the customer as they claim and more about their own economic gain. I will never purchase from them again and will inform my entire family and friends to do the same. I've had lots of experience purchasing furniture and this one has to be the worst I have dealt with. If anything is damaged by any other company I've dealt with, it is replaced no questions asked for a BRAND NEW one! This sofa was purchased March 13th and it is now August and this promise to fix it has not even been fulfilled for this long! I bought from Ashley furniture 5 years ago and the sales man was great. Delivery was free. They brought the couch inside for us to set up. So we ordered another sectional for our basement. I asked if when they delivered it that it would be the back door the lady informed me they would. When they got here they told my husband they drop it in the driveway and take a picture like amazon and thats what they did. When I called customer service she told me they would not come back...not even if I paid...they were still outside my house. The quality is more poor. Where the sectional connects the back doesn't line up. Most of all there was just no sense of friendliness or ownership of lying to me. read more

As a caveat to this post, I ordered these sofas during the height of the COVID-19 lockdown in Ontario. We were unable to view or test the products in store, relying solely on other customer reviews and the information from Ashley Homestore websites. Purchased two sofas from Ashley Furniture, one 3-seater sofa, one queen sleeper sofa. They are from the Navi collection, smoke colourway. The couches themselves are in good condition though are less luxurious than advertised or reviewed. The sofa feet are plastic, which is disappointing at the price point of these items. The stitching is also lighter than appears in any images of the product. What is most disappointing with the items is their comfortability. While the cushions are well stuffed, the sofas are very stiff and upright. The arms are not well padded and hard to rest against. The faux leather/suede is plush, the colour is lovely, but I am still displeased with the overall quality of the make. This review, however, is in large part due to customer service. Upon purchasing the sofas, I was given little details from Ashley Homestore. I purchased the sofas in later April. They arrived on the last weekend in May. The sales agent I worked with advised there would be free shipping for the products. I was delighted with this. At the time, I understood that due to virus precautions the items would be left on my porch for self-installation. Yet, over the course of the month, the government has relaxed restrictions and many businesses have resumed regular operations. In this time, I was not informed by Customer Care (the delivery team), the sales representative I purchased the furniture through, or any member of the Ashley team that an upgrade to delivery was made available -- i.e. "in place" delivery for $99. Had someone contacted me, I would have gladly upgraded. The regular sofa was heavy, about 300 lbs, but it was the sleeper sofa that was extremely cumbersome and heavy to move. The metal frame and inner mattress added nearly 200 lbs to its total weight. Seeing the items, I asked the delivery team if they could move the couches indoors, with COVID restrictions being lax. The delivery team was not equipped to move them indoors and therefore left both items at the end of my driveway -- not nearly close enough to the front door to make it an easy move for me and my partner. The team advised we contact Ashely customer care for delivery support from another team. Upon contacting customer care, they refused to offer any solutions or compensation for their lack of customer service. No "in place" delivery team would be available for days. The supervisor, suggested we move the couches to a garage -- we do not have one. Beyond that, they placed the blame on me for not asking about an upgrade to delivery -- as if I should have known "in place" delivery had become available. Two days prior to delivery I was contacted to confirm the date and time of delivery -- not once was an upgrade offered. Still, I was told by customer care that I should have checked their website, or have asked the automated delivery service about other delivery options. This is unacceptable. For couches that aren't cheap, we weren't able to try-out and purchased on faith, Ashley Homestore has done a poor job at ensuring customer satisfaction. I can say I would not recommend them for any product if my experience is indicative of their typical service. Ashely Homestore will not be getting business from me, nor any member of my family in the foreseeable future. Truly a shame, when so many small businesses have gone under while COVID restrictions have shut them down, and I was unable to purchase from a family-owned business my family has loved for years. Purchased a sectional from Ashleys and the zipper broke less than 2 years we owned it. Have the 5 year warranty on it was told it covers everything when I called they said only thing covered is stains. With a long list of certain stains that are not covered. Examples would be ink and other common stains. I purchased a similar couch set at job lot for a third of the price and it held up better than this couch. Dont get the warranty and go to a cheeper store not worth the money they charge for the crap they have. I will never return to that store. Rather go to a store that stands behind their products and pay more. Buyer beware. read more

Just spent almost 8,000 total in the store , bought a couch set and the seams do not like up on he couch. I called them waited over a month for them to come out , only to be told that it's perfectly acceptable that they do not line up . That I should of looked more closely at it before I bought it that the sales lady isn't responsible to tell me that the seams do not line up . So now I'm stuck with a couch that seams will never line up. Ashley basically said to bad so sad . I thought such a high quality store would make it right . High quality is not what they are about. The sale is all that matters to them . Very pissed off customer Ashley stores will not see another dime from us . read more

ZERO STARS IF IT WAS AN OPTION! Issue #1: After purchasing furniture 7 months ago, I had still not received my furniture as of today I finally decided to get a refund as I really couldn't wait any longer. When I was sold the furniture it was not made clear that it was "container furniture" and would be nearly impossible to actually receive. I have now decided that even the compensation they were willing to offer me would not be enough as I do not even believe I would ever receive the furniture I had purchased. This experience has left me in a position where whenever possible I will recommend that my friends, family and even acquaintances should NEVER shop at Ashley Homestore because not only did I never receive furniture but the furniture my parents purchased literally fell apart within two weeks of owning it so they cannot even be trusted for quality goods. Issue #2: When my delivery was constantly being rescheduled, the entire company had major communication issues and it seemed as though no one spoke internally. After calling the store to confirm my order, I was then to my surprise (at the time) told that my furniture was actually unavailable and that I would need to wait 2 more months before the next delivery window. I then received multiple calls and text messages trying to have me confirm my delivery that was not even going to happen. When I called the delivery company they then were surprised that I was receiving these communications as I in fact would not be receiving any furniture in the near future. Not only did I wait 2 more months but then 2 days prior to the next scheduled delivery it was cancelled again and rescheduled this happened another 2 times. Issue #3: I financed my furniture and not only did I never actually receive furniture to start paying for, but the financing company continued to call, and mail direct mail to my house trying to convince me to take additional loans from them. This was NEVER something I agreed to, and have now been told I must call them to ask them to stop communicating with me. Conclusion: Do not shop at Ashley Homestore unless you just want to lend them your money for months at a time while they toy you around and never actually provide your furniture. read more

On July 25 we went to Ashley Homestore store in Whitby and were greeted by very nice sales people. We bought furniture for the whole house - a few couches, dining table with chairs, bed and a mattress spending almost $15,000. They told us everything will be delivered on August 7 except for headboard, which will be delivered on August 25, because it was not in stock. We left the store happy and excited to get our new furniture. The problems started when they delivered the first set of furniture. The table extension had a chip and one couch had a stain. We pointed both issues to the delivery team and they said they will pass it on to the guest care. Nothing happened for a while and no one reached out to us. When we called, the guest care wasn't aware of the issue. After hours on the phone with customer service and the manager, they agreed to send someone in to clean up the stain. Next, four days before the scheduled delivery of the bed, they called us informing that the mattress won't be delivered as they don't have it in stock and they don't know when they will have it (btw this was a $3K mattress). Again, after hours on the phone they told us they will get the mattress in stock on September 2. We wanted to speak with the manager, but they refused to connect us to the manager. We asked them to have their manager call us. Never happened. Finally, they told us they will deliver the bed first and mattress later when it's in stock. The bed was delivered, except... the headboard was damaged (it was delivery person who pointed it out even before he got it out of the truck) and advised us not to accept the order. So now we had everything but the headboard and the mattress. Fast-forward to today, September 7, the scheduled day of, hopefully, final delivery. Unfortunately, the mattress (which by the way didn't have proper packaging according to delivery person) was stained on both sides. We told them we don't want to accept a mattress that was stained as we don't even know if the mattress is new or where it got the stains from, or if it had any bugs in it. They told us not to worry and just wash it. I asked why would I need to wash a brand new mattress? They told us they can send someone to clean it for us. But again, we paid over $3K for the mattress, which we have been waiting for almost 2 months, and we expected to receive a brand new, clean mattress. Finally, we told them we didn't want to accept the delivery to which they said we will have to pay 25% restocking fee. After, a very frustrating day and speaking with their team leader, they agreed to take the mattress back. Guess what - they don't have the mattress in stock and expect it to be available in 2 weeks. I could not be more disappointed with my experience purchasing a seasonal outdoor sectional. I went through the entire online order process (2 hours- a joke in itself) to be told after the sale was completed that the item is on backorder. I should have cancelled right at that moment but was assured the manufacturer's estimated delivery date ( August 8th) is normally fairly accurate. I am now told August 28th. So I've already waited a month and the summer will be over before I get these pieces. When I tried to cancel I was told about the admin fees. My issue is not the fee, the issue is not even the delayed delivery (out of their control). The issue is that I was NOT told about the backorder until after the transaction was processed. I was also not told about the additional delay until I called to inquire. I asked to speak to a manager on 3 occasions during the online chat only to be told, "I've already spoken to the manager and they said no return of fees is possible". Horrible service experience. I should have noted the horrible reviews before my purchase but figured it's a big company, I'm sure they will stand behind service and product. DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS COMPANY!
