They had free coffee while I was there which was tasty and also for sale in small packages. I assume a local coffee company but forgot to ask. My wife and I found several items to purchase. I bought some old spoons to make a wind chime. My wife found an Iris and Herringbone bowl for $4 (either here or next door... I forget.) They do have a clean restroom. I didn't get the address but their next-door neighbor to the left is 8362 Old Hwy 171, Grand Cane, LA 71032. I did jot down their hours which are Tues-Fri 10-5, Sat 10-2, Sun-Mon closed.

They have a great selection of flavored olive oils for cooking or just dipping your bread in! They also have salsa's, different flavors of pickles, dips, pickled Quail eggs which I had to try and they are really good! They have soup mixes and all kinds of other flavorful things. They have cookware, things for settings on your table. They have toys for kids, flavored popcorn, coffee, there is just so much they have in here!!! You can browse for a couple of hours! The folks here are very friendly and very helpful if you're looking for something in particular. If you're ever in Center, Tx. The White Cottage Mercantile is certainly worth stopping at!!!

Relatives were in town so we headed downtown for some shopping and came across Fortney's on Main Street which had a sign in the window that said the business had moved 3 blocks away to Mound Street. We headed that way and found the Fortney Home which is an historic mansion filled with antiques and collectibles. The owner has filled the whole house with items and each room has it's own theme. Lots of high quality stuff for sale here. The owner is a longtime business owner in Nacogdoches and has had several different businesses over the years. Check it out! You will be surprised about how much stuff there is here.
