The reason I picked With Flourish is because there was no minimum, so I could do as much or as little as I wanted. I was on a budget so I ended up doing a bridesmaid bouquet for myself and the mini bouquets for my bridesmaids and it was perfect. Finally, on the day of, she was a true DELIGHT. Masked up and ready to rock, she made our setting beautiful and special. Our small dinner table felt like a secret garden and just gave a small oasis during a global pandemic. And, not to be missed, the flowers were stunning. During our first meeting we had an easy conversation about the vibe of the wedding and what our style is. I don't know much about flowers, I just knew that I wanted some succulents and I wanted color, the rest was up to him. After the initial meeting he followed up with a document recapping everything we discussed and some pictures of what he'll use for inspiration. I loved everything, so I gave him the go ahead to do whatever he'd like. I had no idea that flowers could make my jaw drop and bring a tear to my eye...because that's what happened. A few things to note: Some special requests do cost extra (but, they tell you that up front and there is no pressure to modify your contract), the day of the wedding, they are willing to incorporate other vendors stuff (favors, linens, etc.) but they carry out their contracted work first, be clear on what is expected with a set of venue diagrams and written instructions.

Our venue's coordination team did not compare to Megan. We mostly hired Megan to help us with our planning prior to the wedding since we were planning it from the Bay Area (and our wedding was in San Diego). We started working together about 10 months before the wedding and she attended all of our coordination meetings - bringing up things I never would've thought of on my own and helped to try to get us the best prices. She helped brainstorm things for our vision of the wedding, and offered tons of advice along the way. Once things started coming together she was a HUGE help in coordinating all my vendors, setting up a detailed timeline (this was seriously key) and following up on any and all unanswered questions. She managed all of our vendor contact - which was sooo helpful. Everyone knew to go to her before coming to me so I had a filter before any questions came to my inbox. When our timeline was nailed down, she did a great job of communicating it with everyone and making sure that everyone was well informed. We didn't have to worry about anything! On the actual day of, we had Montana as our onsite coordinator. She was also amazing!! She made sure everything went to plan and there were no snags in our timeline. I had little gifts for the bridesmaids that I wanted set up before we arrived on site, and she made this happen. We actually ran out of alcohol (twice!) and she was a hero and ran to the store to the grab us what we needed. I cannot thank her enough for doing this! I didn't have to worry about any of this during the day - she just confirmed once with us and the bar was restocked before we knew it. Not only was Megan amazing as a coordinator but she's an awesome human as well. She made sure that I was happy with everything and was SO readily available whenever I needed to chat - whether it be about a vendor, or any other detail that came up. I'm so happy that I had Megan Joy Events for our wedding day and would absolutely choose them again in a heartbeat.

Megan came recommended and trusted by the venue so we had faith in hiring her. She more than delivered to our expectations. With only six months to arrange our vendors Megan helped coordinate the various points of contact allowing us to focus on the personal logistics of getting married (legal, insurance etc) which took so much stress off of us. Each of our vendors praised Megan's thorough approach and organized planning when we went for our final walk-through. The day of the wedding Megan was busy ensuring our table arrangements matched our vision and communicated to the other vendors where to set up. She was everywhere. Megan also checked in with each of us personally to make sure everyone was moving according to schedule. We had heard that many weddings feel like they are running behind or pressured for time but we had none of that - likely due to Megan's great work. When the cocktail hour and reception came around there was one issue of bees attacking some of our food. Megan was on top of it and managed the situation wonderfully. Reflecting on our wedding we only have positive memories - an amazing day we will never forget.

She understood our vision and was able to seamlessly execute it for us with ease. We received numerous compliments throughout our day of people curious as to who she was and as to how professional and calm she was from start to finish. We can not recommend Jackie enough. Hiring Jackie was the best thing we did before our wedding. She is extremely organized and it showed through on our special day. NOPE. It's weeks of planning, meeting, and corresponding by email. It's reaching out to every vendor the week of the wedding to lock down arrival and departure times the day of the wedding and answer every little question I or the vendor had so that the bride/groom wouldn't have to deal with ANY of it. So when it says "day of wedding coordinator," it's by no means just one day of work. Jackie is meticulous, organized, and just a joy to be around. She's a fun person! It put my mind and heart at ease knowing that she was taking care of everything (and this coming from a semi control freak). I was able to let go and enjoy being with family and friends. I can honestly say that the day of the wedding, I was so relaxed and a huge part of it was thanks to Jackie. Everyone who came in contact with her from the rehearsal to the actual wedding day couldn't say enough nice things about her. She should be your go-to!

She met with us early on to give us guidance and a provided a general overview of important goal dates leading up to the big day. She helped calm my wedding fears by mentally preparing me for everything to come and always being positive and attentive with any worries I had. Since my husband and I are originally from Chicago and now living in SD as our home, roughly 95% of all of our guests would be flying in from out of town. We wanted to give them the ultimate San Diego destination wedding experience, and unconventional at that. With Brindy, that dream became a reality! From helping us to select a very unique venue (we ended up renting a private estate on the beach!) to bringing in and negotiating key pricing with our caterer and rental companies, Brindy was professional and on-top of each detail having the knowledge and experience from having planned many others weddings in the past. As the big day approached, she gave us great ideas for decorating the venue the day of and gave us ideas to save money all along the way, without ever having to sacrifice our overall vision or quality. As with any day of wedding, there were some hiccups, but thanks to Brindy I was oblivious to any of it while we were getting married and having the time of our lives. She took care of everything, from overseeing all vendors to making sure that all events took place timely and without any boring lulls like I've experienced at other weddings. Our guests loved every bit of it and I have the fondest memories of that day. I'm totally convinced that we owe it all to Brindy with B Planning:) If you are looking for a coordinator, please give Brindy a call.
