I'm not sure if it's because I'm a guy, that people didn't want to keep being my braider but when I found Tiane, she immediately became my loyal braider and it's been almost 3 years now. Every time I need an appointment she replies and has availability whenever you need it. Her braids are always neat and last me more than month or more if I actually take care of them. She makes her own product that she puts after she's done and it smells super good and helps keep my hair moisturized. She makes it to sell as well! She's gentle when braiding but my braids are always tight and secure. She can freestyle or replicate something if you have an example, hers always comes out better though. Outside of her braiding, she's a dope person and super outgoing. Be a good client and she'll for sure be a good braider! TIP, she's worth it! (I've never sat in her chair more than an hour and a half.) The last time I tried to get my kids in , they wouldn't take us because the list was "closed" although they didn't close for another 45 minutes. This time my son's hair looks nothing like I asked. I even had her "fix it" where you could totally tell it wasn't cut correctly. Now I have to go elsewhere to get it actually fixed. She wasn't kid friendly , nor was she considerate of him being a child and quite literally kept smacking him with the towel where he noticeably was uncomfortable by the way his head was moving away everytime the towel would hit him and yet she kept going . I had to tell her it was fine if the hair didn't come off. Not to mention her rude remark to me wanting to stand next to my child, mind you i wasn't right next to him, but rather a few feet away, well my son is 4 and I'm his advocate , so if i want to stand next to my son or close to him, I will. This place is so unwelcoming. From the first time I came to the third and last time . Wouldn't recommend to anyone. Edit to add: it's the next morning and I'm actually noticing now and his haircut is . Shouldn't have paid for this. I'm astonished, outraged and taken back they would have someone not knowing what they are doing cut a child's hair !!!
