I was invited to take a tour of the school and was very impressed with the programs being offered along with all the alumni who landed a job after attending Asher College. I met with Dell, who was AMAZING! He discussed a couple of educational programs with me and showed me around and introduced me to some instructors and administrators. I was impressed with the programs but was even more impressed with the hands on training that one can obtain along with his/her education. They have a make shift and hands on pharmacy and IT department where one can practice what they learned in the classroom. They are also military friendly and flexible with your school schedule which makes it super easy to go to school. They offer various certificates and degrees. I highly recommend taking a tour and talking to an admissions advisor (Dell) if you are looking for a great school. Asher is the place to go, did I mention that it is also Accredited? I am writing to formally lodge a serious complaint regarding the unacceptable treatment I, along with others in a similar position, have received from Asher College in attempting to re-enroll and continue our educational journeys. This letter serves not only as a reflection of my personal experience but also as a broader critique of the college's administrative inefficiencies, lack of communication, and disregard for returning students who are sincerely trying to better their lives through education. As an institution that markets itself on accessibility, career-focused education, and a student-first philosophy, Asher College has severely failed to uphold these values in practice. Despite repeated efforts to contact staff members, submit necessary paperwork, and express interest in returning, my inquiries have been consistently met with silence, vague reassurances, or outright neglect. Emails go unanswered for weeks. Phone calls are shuffled from one department to another with no clear resolution. The burden of follow-up has fallen entirely on me, as if the college is doing me a favor, rather than fulfilling its basic obligation to provide guidance and support to its former and prospective students. It is deeply frustrating and frankly insulting to feel so invisible and unimportant to an institution that once welcomed me as a student. There appears to be no streamlined process for re-enrollment, no designated staff member responsible for handling returning student cases, and worst of all, no sense of urgency or accountability. It's as though once a student pauses or steps away from their education for any reason--life circumstances, health, financial hardship--Asher College writes them off completely. The irony is that Asher College continues to heavily advertise its commitment to student success, flexible scheduling, and career development. Yet when actual students--real people with ambition and motivation--try to return and complete what they started, they are met with indifference. This is not only unprofessional, but deeply disheartening. Many of us who are trying to return are doing so because we value education, we trust the mission we were once sold, and we want to finish what we began. The current treatment undermines that trust entirely. If the college is overwhelmed, understaffed, or lacks the infrastructure to handle returning students appropriately, then that needs to be acknowledged transparently and corrected immediately. Instead, the experience has felt more like being stonewalled, as if Asher College no longer wants the responsibility of helping students navigate their return. I urge the administration to take this issue seriously. Implementing a clear, accessible re-enrollment process, training staff to treat returning students with the same respect and responsiveness as new enrollees, and above all, communicating transparently would go a long way toward rebuilding the trust that has been so thoroughly damaged. Please consider this a formal complaint and a plea for change. I hope no other returning student is made to feel ignored, discouraged, or dismissed the way I have. if you are student and got financial aid check your credit report. If it shows you have your student loans on there and the school has not dispersed the amount to you file a complaint. I really like how Asher College works closely with you to ensure you understand the material. They are VERY veteran friendly and make sure that your schedule doesn't overwhelm you. The environment is great, all computers run smooth and are new. They have virtual lectures and in person lectures and are very collaborative with your learning style. This is a great place for someone that needs to work and wants to have the chance to further better themselves at the same time. I started my journey with Asher back in 2018 of April. While it was expressed that this is a school of blended learning(reading, hands on time and lectures) which I truly believed at the time I must confess that is was not. Sure some of the staff was friendly and cared, the couple of instructors that were there didnt make up for the fact you are going to be teaching yourself the subject. "Lectures" were the same and never updated with the current and growth of the technological field of information technology. Grant it, powerpoints and dated teaching structures made it very apparent that there isnt really a organized foundation for teaching students who are unaware of the i.t world. Towards the end of my times at Asher, I was noticing students were teaching class lectures over the instructors...which I think is very unprofessional. I didnt come to a professionally organized clinic/school to be taught by someone who may have barely passed their cert tests. The lack of tools they provided was indeed another troublesome issue. I was being forced to learn programs from 10 years ago...or I would be forced to take certain classes that dont really add value to my core structure of focus, which is being an i.t network tech. My hands on time only lasted for the first portion of 901, when 901 was relevant for the last 6 months. The 1000 series which was never even mentioned or brought up till the last couple of months of my time at Asher. After just 6 months I realized that this school isnt truly accredited and their "associates/bachelor's" dont hold any validity with any schools which are nationally recognized. Thus paying for a piece of paper that says it is "Bachelors" doesnt give much faith to one future endeavors. They dont discuss this with you as well. This was all done on my behalf of researching. I saught out work because I couldn't trust a system that was basically, "spend 20k to teach myself a subject that I have no clue on". That forced me to take insignificant classes that could be pulled from a questionnaire found from the back of magazine. Like I said while the select few people were nice to me, it doesnt change the fact that this school is not at all what it claims to be.Sure, they helped me out with my time here; they were flexible when push came to shove. To sum up, this will be my last review of this school. I dropped it with a month to go because I was lucky to find work and have been successful since finding that job. My only true positive point of attending Asher was that I found this job, but not because of Asher, I found it on my own with absolutely no help from them. Oh, if you do write a negative review of this school, they will push you to delete it. I didnt no matter how many times they "reminded me." Or told me to. This place is a for-profit school. VETERANS BEWARE!!! Almost everytime I went outside for a break I was followed BY either BILL ZACTAVIN or Anne and Tom. I had to take an emergency phone call once and they went to my car to look inside to see if I was in my own car. When they saw me inside of my car on the phone they just walked back inside saying nothing as to why they did that, later that day, I find out they had clocked me out when they went back inside. I was there for a total of 8 hours, only 2 were counted..... Many times I went for these 10 min breaks I was clocked out without my consent or knowledge...I believe this is done to keep the veterans behind in hours so the school can make more money off the veterans benefits indebting the veteran. I wasted a years worth of VA benefits here for outdated lectures and outdated certifications. The incident described was my breaking point and I quit as i felt like I was being gangstalked. Do yourself a favor, study online at home then pay 100 bucks at a local Pearson Vue test proctor, get your cert without bs and debt. read more

I wanted to grasp the knowledge to get into Cyber Security field and this school allowed to get the foundation in to break into a new career field. I just hated being a contractor for either construction or aviation. As a Veteran I wanted to make use of my benefits to break into a different career field. I mean after a while your body just go to poop working on those physically demanding jobs and I wanted to make sure I had a future with my family and plus i was always interested in this field. Although this isn't the true field I am meaning to get into it is the launchpad for my career success. Talking to other Veterans such as myself the main way is to get your certifications and your foundational knowledge before jumping into other big ones and plus Las Vegas needs more IT professional as reported on the jobs needed and they pay well. I think if you are ready to get into this field, you'll find that this school is optimal in provide the knowledge needed. For me, it was great that most of the IT instructors were Veterans as well as the student. Overall the school is very high quality, the weekly schedule is very student friendly, and most of the school staff are approachable and helpful. My one complain deals with an exception to the rule: Jonathan Illidge. Mr. Illidge is one of the instructors serving on the Health Services and Business faculty. In my opinion he doesn't meet the standards for Asher College faculty; he doesn't take care of the students, especially those who he is directly responsible for. He is unpredictable and temperamental; his mood can change in a second. When students have an issue that requires his attention, he always seems irritated that we asked for his help. And yet, he has favorite students who he seems happy to help. I am one of the unlucky students who are assigned to him, who he does not want to help. He has caused three major issues during my Asher College career that I want to address. The first issue has to do with mismanagement of my training and testing schedules. In a recent course, I took my Unit 3 test and then I was scheduled to take my final exam within two working days of the Office Administration, which eliminated my ability to properly prepare for the final. I instantly drew Mr. Illidge's attention to this issue and told him that something was not right. I also mentioned that if I hadn't checked my Student Plan then I would have missed my final exam, because it was scheduled far more abruptly than the standard timeframe. In spite of my protests, he did not even check my profile exam schedule, but instead just told me " You're fine. You got this," and he gave me printouts of homework and laboratories to prepare for the final. I was forced to ask another instructor Likesha - to check my exam schedule and to help me because the workload of completing homework, labs, and a final exam in two days was not reasonable or feasible. After that, Jonathan never even addressed the issue or apologized. Obviously, he doesn't care. For sure he didn't even thank the other instructor who stepped in to do his job for him. Next, I ran into an issue with financial aid, because Mr. Illidge advised me to take a course that wasn't part of the normal student plan for my study path. As a G.I. Bill recipient, I must have a correct student plan in order to receive benefits, but my student plan was not right. I originally noticed that something seemed off about the homework and laboratory assignments I was assigned, and I asked him if they were for my next course, and he told me that they were. I asked him if I needed a new book, and he told me that I would use the same textbook I already had. I worked for four days on the homework and laboratory assignments while waiting for financial aid to email me that I was certified for the new course. Then, I found out that he was mistaken about the course; it wasn't part of my approved student plan. I wasted an entire week studying material for a course that was outside of my program. In addition, I found out that financial aid didn't certify my plan because Mr. Illidge did not close out my previous course's homework and laboratories as complete, so the next course wasn't even open to me yet. I received help from a student service administrator, who apologized for all the issues. For this, Jonathan has apologized, but I do not trust him any more. Finally, he had a negative confrontation with me over my Unit 1 test. To be respectful, I asked his permission if I could write down the questions so I could incorporate them into a study guide that I used to prepare for my course final. He switched between approval and denial, and I have no clear answer why. Yet, I know that my other classmates had the opportunity to write down the questions so that they could learn from them. Writing down the questions of the test should not be considered cheating because you are done with the test, so the only way that you can use the information is for your final study guide, but it seems like I am the only one who didn't get this opportunity. I regret that I didn't talk to the school Campus Director after the first issue I had with him. If I had, then perhaps I wouldn't have had the subsequent issues with him, and we would have a normal professional relationship. But as things stand right now, I have the impression that he is simply picking on me. I have heard complaints from other students about him. I just needed a quote for the cost of tuition, materials, books, etc. I was denied the price quote since I did not immediately sign up to be a student. The tour itself was great, I met students, instructors, some of the office staff but was told I needed to come back the following day for a price quote. Since I was a walk in and did not have an appointment I was not upset that the next appointment for "Financial Aide" that suited me was the following afternoon. I came back and was asked for my 2016 tax returns, which I did not have with me, I was informed that I would have to sign up for FAFSA and for a Pell Grant before they would even consider physically handing me anything with a price on it. Since I had not committed to this location, I declined to provide that I just needed the pricing which I was denied and treated poorly like I was some criminal. My student loans are in good standing and I do not need to apply for those things at this point until I figure out where I wanted to go. I was then pushed off onto this tall woman chomping on her lunch. With her mouth full of food she exclaims "Sorry I am on lunch!! What seems to be the problem?" I tried to explain the situation, she bad mouthed other schools to me and then said "...but I will not bad mouth another school." But totally did, kept interrupting me and would not allow me to finish a thought but kept demanding an answer. At the end I told her we were finished and she needed to actually allow people to speak and she would know how to truly help someone. I felt she was extremely unprofessional, which is sad because this school seemed to be a really great way to get ahead. read more

This is a place for learning, I am 65 and new nothing about Microsoft software, excel, word, out look and the whole package. I thought a window was to look out. Now I can say that I can do what most people can do. Very personal and professional atmosphere. I have been attending the IT program there for almost a year. The staff is really fantastic. Everyone is very approachable and many of them attended the college prior to working there. I can only speak on the IT program, but my one biggest issue is I feel the program could be less automated. Too much of the curriculum is based through online training applications. I feel they would be better served expanding on that with a greater hands on presence and a more diverse lecture or teaching forum. The school requires I believe 18 or more in-house hours a week per student. The hours could be utilized and divided up by the above mentioned options. It feels too much like studying from home when I'm there. I'd like too be able to commit my hours in-house to more diverse options using the instructors to gain knowledge as opposed to myself or the training resources. Overall though the experience has been very pleasant and with the material taught along with a fantastic staff and commitment toward career placement it makes up for some areas that I feel could be improved. I have no doubt long after I'm gone that they will continue making further strides to improve and already unique and well-designed learning environment. I would certainly recommend this school to anyone seeking an IT related degree. read more
