I know a very special, very clever, very beautiful little lady (no, not me you charmers) who adores her school and proudly declares the name of it whenever she can! I spent my…read morewhole secondary school years here and to be honest, despite it being frail and old I really enjoyed my time here. The school is an all boys Roman Catholic secondary school and has a great reputation in Bradford. There are boys from ages 11 to 18 here and around 1200 students attend the school. It's in a small village not far from Bradford city centre. The standard of education here has always been very high and remains so to this day. There's talk of the school merging with the girls catholic school located just down the road, hence the new buildings popping up around the school. The teachers on the whole were pretty good there. It's a real top place to go to school!

For a school in such a built up area , I would have thought neighbor and resident care and consideration would be at a premium. Apparently not it seems...total NIMBY attitude abounds. DISGRACEFUL. The parking in drop off pick up times is shocking..I know of THREE people who have moved beacuse of that and the noise that comes from the school, plus the leaving on of the bell ALL THROUGH THE HOLIDAYS!!! 'because they were dashing out the door, wanted to get home and ''just forgot''........so the residents have to just put up with it???!!! FOR SIX WEEKS???? Now there is a lighting issue. It's like having the Manchester United football stadium floodlights shining onto the front of my house!!! They apparently have been approached by the council, and a couple of other residents to either put them on sensors or turn them off. They are 'waiting for funding to put sensors on' tell you what, turn the mega watt floodlights off, save a few quid and with whats saved you can afford to put sensors on and stop the lights shining into all the surrounding properties!! There is such a thing as light pollution you know!! I am certain that if any of the staff st the school had to put up with a constant stream of traffic, ringing bell from 7.45 am and stupidly bright floodlights all night coming into the front of their house something would get done about it!!! Sort it all out, you have a responsibility to the surrounding residents where you school is situated. Doesn't look good for you and the ethic you are trying to promote for an 'Outstanding School' if you don't care about issues such as these now does it?????

This is a wonderful school. Both my son and daughter are currently pupils and they love it, as do…read morewe. It's an environment that has allowed them to flourish without any pressure. This has meant they now have a love of learning that they will hopefully have for the rest of their loves. The school's exterior is a bit shabby but inside the classrooms the dedicated teachers are doing an amazing job.
