Each of my kids went through the full, 3-year primary program with two years of preschool and one year of kindergarten. I'm grateful they were both in the "Bamboo" classroom with Ms Stephanie as the primary guide and teacher. She truly is excellent at what she does, supported by a wonderful admin and aides, and both my wife and I enjoyed working with her and even building a nice friendship and camaraderie. In all, we were part of this school community for 6 years and I highly recommend it.

There are some people who change your life so quietly that they probably don't even realize the…read moreimpact they've had. One of the biggest fears I had about going back to school wasn't the homework, the exams, or balancing being a full-time student and a full-time mom. It was leaving my children in someone else's care. After everything we've been through, my babies needed consistency. They needed to be safe. They needed to be loved. And I needed to know that while I was working to build a better future for us, they were somewhere their little hearts and minds would continue to grow. When I was 19, I worked at La Petite Playschool and Nursery. I remember how much everyone genuinely loved the children, how seriously we took our training, and how much care went into every single day. It never felt like "just a daycare." Over the years, Lisa became so much more than my former boss. She became someone I looked up to, someone who believed in me, encouraged me, and loved me through different seasons of life. So when it came time to choose childcare, my heart already knew where my children belonged. Watching Oliver and Juniper thrive has been one of the greatest gifts. They come home with stories, songs, artwork, new words, dirty clothes from playing hard, and smiles that tell me they had another day filled with love. They are learning, exploring, making friends, and being encouraged to be exactly who they are. As a single mom trying to build a new life through higher education, I simply could not do this without the people at La Petite. They have given me so much more than childcare. They've given me peace of mind. They've loved my children as their own while I sit in lectures, study for exams, and work toward becoming a nurse. There aren't enough words to thank you for believing in my little family. Thank you for every hug, every lesson, every scraped knee you've comforted, every milestone you've celebrated, and every day you've made it a little easier for me to chase a dream that will change all of our lives. We are so incredibly grateful.

My son still loves her and talks about her. The price was more than reasonable, and the vacations were workable. I especially appreciated the independent skills and support she and her team offered my kid - she helped him learn to walk, potty train, go to the bathroom by himself, and really critically, learn to be kind and caring to other kids. We will forever be grateful to her for her wonderful support in raising our sweet boy.

The teachers and volunteers put a lot of effort and care into developing a program that meets the developmental needs of children at this age. There are always new activities set up in the morning, our son tells us about the different stations, they have different themes, he sings songs that he learns at home to us, and loves playing on the playground before eating lunch around peers his own age. Not to mention regular field trips and seasonally themed activities according to holiday/celebration. They are very hands on, open, and welcoming. We have especially enjoyed the amount of effort and willingness that the staff makes, they definitely go out of their way to work with and accommodate everyone. Our son definitely enjoys going to school and playing with his friends here, it has helped him immensely in all areas of social development and the resources are fantastic and aimed to help children in the specific areas where help is needed while helping to nurture their development and hit milestones. There is also a summer program, which our son attended last year and will attend this year before his final year at old mill prior to transitioning into kindergarten. I would highly recommend considering old mill to meet your preschoolers educational and developmental needs.

My child attended The Magic Flute for 1 Fall session and her Spanish improved tremendously through songs. Kids not only learn ABC's but also a bIt of geography, music, and baking. Unfortunately issues were encountered when the head teacher continuously pried my toddler for info regarding our personal lives. In addition to the lack of responsibility, the parent/teacher direct communication is lacking. Only 1 teacher is allowed to be in direct communication with parents while the others are not allowed to comment despite having direct contact with children. I'm so glad we live in this school district and our kids (just one attending here so far) will be benefitting from this school. The size of the school is small and feels like a private school because we have very close contact with the staff, and always know what our kids is up to. The majority of the teachers are AMAZING. They are enthusiastic about teaching and seem happy to show up for their students every day. My kid's teachers all take a genuine interest in him. He struggles at times and they have been very supportive, inclusive, and work toward his strengths. I wish my High School education had been as enlightening as this. My kid is learning in a very creative and insightful way. The science program is excellent, and the language arts curriculum is some of the best I've seen. There is a very talented music program with a band and choir who has gone to state many times and placed in the top 5 in the state. There are also very strong sports programs and many opportunities to try something new. My kid has also learned some really cool life skills (wood working, cooking, personal finance). The secondary language program is lacking a bit, but we have found resources within our community to help fill in the gap. We feel so lucky to be here at this time in our kids' lives. This school is public but feels like a high tuition private program.
