They are proudly incompetent and when you question what they are doing they continue to insist on…read moredoing it incorrectly and lying about it. Actually lying to the clients about IRS policies. Book royalties go on a C with the other money from writing when that is your main business and in my case my one and only business. They put it on the form that is for rentals when it's books when it's is business earnings 100%. Book royalties are not rentals or gas royalties and when I called them on it they lied to me and they also charged me extra for using the third form when they were not supposed to use the third form and guess what. They refuse to fix ti. And this was something they did two years in a row They lied to me about it and refused to fix it. That was just one lie. There were others regarding my taxes. No one at Liberty Tax takes any responsibility for the representatives incompetence. I guess they made no effort to train them at all. Places like this do more harm than good when it comes to taxes. I had to get on here and warn people. This is not right.

When I asked "how late" she said she didn't know and implied the person before me had a complicated return. I get it. I could hear their entire exchange. The person before me had dependents, multiple childcare facilities etc. The account asked me what type of return I was filing ? I gave her my information (very simple return- single, retirement income, etc). Then she offered to put me with another person , which I said would be great! I made introductions, excused myself for the restroom, came back, and my things had been moved to ANOTHER person's desk so they could help me. Ok it gets worse. After presenting my documents to this third person- they apologized and said they couldn't work on my return Bc of my retirement income. They suggested I just drop my documents and pick up later. I asked how much? This person went to consult with the initial person I set my appointment with (Barbara). They verbally quoted me upwards of $300. Ummm I'm good. I shall file on my own. Wasted an hour.
