I have now started to do my weekly shop here and can get almost everything I need. They even do common brands as well as there own. The fruit and veg is fresh and excellent quality and so it the meat and ham. I have tried out many new things and have been very pleased with everything I have bought. You must remember your own bags though because you have to pay for theirs and the checkouts are pretty small and there is no space to pack your shopping. The best thing is that you are in and out in such a small time and have everything you need. Highly recommend.

Today i had yet another reason to root for lidl, esp this branch. I shopped at the branch , and inadvertently left behind a paid for food item, {price 3 pounds} behind on the self-service counter. Several hours later, i popped in to ask if it had been handed in. With a minimum of fuss, the store gave me a complimentary replacement. At a high end supermarket, i would have expected this, but at a budget-supermarket it was a pleasant surprise! Well, it prompted me to do this review.

leaving Tesco yesterday I realised I had a puncture so pulled in to the recycling area opposite the…read morepetrol station. the gentleman in there offered to help me as he was an ex RAC patrol man. in the end he couldn't as I did not have the correct equipment. I want to say a huge thank you to everyone who stopped to offer help, in the end a lovely young man from Latvia came and helped me. He pulled out this huge screw/ bolt from the tyre then repaired it with something magic that looked like a rubber plug. I don't know his name, he said he lived in new Milton and he had a blue car. He really was a saviour to me. I was so amazed that so many kind people came to my aid and offered help. with all the bad things happening in this world today, all the people who stopped were just kind and wonderfu, I'm glad I live in this great country.

Car park is also quite big, so no problem with stopping here. Another good thing is the fact that the petrol is cheaper here than at any of the other petrol stations in the local area. Top marks!

Nice layout too.

Food is lovely and cheap. great choice of food from other countries are also appearing in stores. they also have one weeks deals or longer depending how long stock of the item lasts, ranging from clothes to electrical goods. Snag is no baskets. and a pound again for a trolley. and also like other stores they charge for carrier bags, so bring your own. And they do not have aloyalty card scheme which would be nice if they did..

Sainsburys is my nearest large superstore. There is plenty of free parking along with ample baby…read morespaces for parents. I always manage to find a space close to the store. Inside there is a large clothing range as well as an average homewares and electricals range. The store is laid out well with the suopermarket area gelling with the non food items. There are many offers dotted around the store at random places which is quite odd. I find the staff all present themselves well and are polite and efficient in their job. I will continue to choose this supermarket for my weekly shopping.

This Asda store is newer than the central Bournemouth one and is laid out better and over one…read morefloor. There is a McDonalds attached to this store which is always very busy. I find the toilets to be easily accessed and from start to finish I can do my shopping in here without wandering all over the place looking for one item. The only thing I don;t like about visiting this store is the parking, as you can find yourself parked far away from the store due to the carpark being shared with other stores in the complex. It would be better if Asda could designate their own parking area with more mother and toddler parking spaces to help frazzled mothers like myself.

On a practical note, I also have mixed views about this place; on the plus side, the long opening hours are a godsend when I've run out of something, the staff are generally friendly and helpful, the product range is excellent and the prices are reasonable. My main criticism of this shop is that they are a bit lax when it comes to sell by dates, and I have learned to check the dates on stuff carefully before putting things in my basket.
