At the onset of my appointment I told Dr. Porter the condition I believed I was suffering from (common condition, recognizable symptoms, have suffered from previously) and that I was looking to get medication for it (not a controlled substance or anything that could be recreationally abused). Dr. Porter immediately became extremely aggressive and argumentative, telling me "that's not how a doctor's office works" and "you don't just come in making demands." This combative response was extremely confusing and distressing. I went on to try to describe the symptoms I was experiencing, at which point Dr. Porter became angry, raising his voice, and told me "that's not what you said at the beginning of the appointment." I terminated the appointment and immediately met with another provider who was able to treat me. I was very surprised to see that Dr. Porter has any positive reviews. Unfortunately, Dr. Porter seemed more interested in belittling and berating me than treating my medical condition.

He's caring and well-informed about the latest research since we hope to fix the problem rather than just manage the pain. His PA, Deb, is amazing as well. She treated my spouse with respect and caring from the initial visit. They take the time you need and are truly dedicated to easing chronic pain. They've been responsive in urgent situations and work to find the right combination of treatments. The only thing we wish was better was the average wait times although yesterday we were seen immediately. But we'd rather wait longer to get the time we need.

On Thursday December 24th I had an appointment with Dr. Balint for the second time. After waiting…read morein the reception area, I was called by one of the nurses I guess who works there (an Asian Lady, no disrespect I do not know the name). She responded my greeting by a quick and dry hello (no smile whatsoever) and placed me in one of the rooms and left the room by saying Dr. Balint will be with you shortly. She did not asked any questions about how I was doing, also didn't even bother to check my blood pressure. Please keep in mind that I am a diabetic patient with high blood pressure. I waited for a long time in the other room and finally Dr. Balint came to the room. No handshake or warm greeting, didn't even bother to ask how I felt after receiving the first injection. After briefly sharing his opinion in regards to my latest MRI, invited me to the room that I would receive my second set of injections. Once again I bumped into the same nurse. For some unknown reason I had trouble walking and felt so weak in my both legs. They were both shaking and had trouble carrying my weight. The nurse didn't ask if I am ok knowing that was not my normal walk. Did not offer any help and just asked me to lay down on the bed and get ready for the injection. Shortly after that Dr. Balint with another lady walked into the room and started prepping me for the injections. These time both injections were extremely painful to the point that I couldn't stop crying and had trouble catching my breath while trying my best not to move. The entire time three of them were having a conversation about some event and once in awhile Dr. Balint was giving a short explanation about my injection. Not even once one of them asked me if I am ok and did not bother to check on me. Even after the injection was over all Dr. Balint said was he needs to do the next session within a month and left the room. Did not even to bother to say bye or ask me if I am ok (keep in mind that my tears were still coming down due to the pain as well as getting emotional due to being extremely upset for being treated so poorly). After Dr. Balint left the room once again I was alone with the same Asian nurse trying to get dressed and again no words whatsoever. Once again she didn't bother to ask if I am ok. I was so upset and disappointed with my experience that I could not wait to leave the office. Usually patient suppose to wait 20 minutes after the shot at the office in case of any reaction. I could not even do that. I had to leave and for sure I will never return back to that place. Is this the way a patient should be treated by the doctor or the other care giver at the doctor office? What has happened to customer service? Was I wrong to get so upset. Please keep in mind that as soon as I got home I had to check my blood pressure and my blood pressure was 160 over 98 which was extremely high. Anytime I went to any doctor's office or any clinic they always first check patient's blood pressure, don't you think the nurse should have done that as well?

As someone who has been in physical therapy for most of my life and is very conscious of the cost…read moreof care, I cannot express enough how much I have valued the investment I've made at Big League Physical Therapy. I genuinely refer to my PT, Anna Claire, as a miracle worker for what she has done to help put my shoulder back together. As my training progressed and new issues naturally came up, she was always excellent at adapting and addressing whatever I was dealing with. This is not "show up for one issue" care. This is holistic care from PTs who are personally invested in your success. Even therapists who have not treated me directly know my story, my goals, and what I'm working toward, and that creates such a warm, encouraging environment. Every session is a full hour and always feels intentional. It usually starts with about five minutes talking through how my body has been feeling, followed by roughly 25 minutes of soft tissue work or dry needling. I know dry needling can sound intimidating, especially if you hate needles like I do, but trust me, it has been life-changing. The final 30 minutes are spent on specific, targeted, and challenging exercises designed to lengthen and strengthen the right muscles. After each session, my at-home exercises are conveniently uploaded to the PT Everywhere app, so I always know exactly what my "homework" is. And to top it all off, Meatball, the clinic's adorable senior golden retriever, sometimes makes an appearance and makes the experience even better by wandering around and giving love boops while you work out. Physical and mental care all in one. I truly cannot recommend Big League PT enough. You will be so thankful you made the commitment
