When I was referred to Ascent my credit score was in the high 400's, as of today is very close to 700's. I had so much hope in this service as I had been through a physically and financially abusive marriage and was now a single mother just needing a little help. There are so many complaints that I have but my main one is they literally submitted a claim that misspelled my name on my credit report and then proceeded to charge me a $7 fee for removing the proper name. I trusted the process and kept the faith that everything would get resolved but after 9 months of no resolution I started to raise concerns. After I stated that my credit score on Experian and transunion websites had not moved in a year's time all of a sudden I needed to pay $75 for an "official" credit report. They continuously sent emails stating they had sent out round of letters and to check my mail. In a year's time I maybe got three pieces of mail from the credit board or even debt collectors. As far as customer service goes, everyone is very nice, and the conversations are pleasant and not combative. You absolutely can not get anyone on the phone but they will respond to your missed call and voicemail with a email in 48-72 hours. So over all communication isn't too bad, but the services themselves are subpar at best. I am literally at the end of my year commitment and my name is still wrong on my credit report, I am still below 550, which for the record is about where I started, and I'm pretty sure that, as I won't be renewing my subscription to this service, I will be forced to figure out how to fix my own name on my credit report. To their credit they did get some old addresses and old jobs removed from my credit. All and all a year later I am $1000 paid into this service with not very much to show for it. I am disappointed and left feeling like what I thought was going to be a new start for my kids and I has turn into a nightmare of epic proportion. read more

Ascent sets the bar very high and delivers. Trust the process. I was very skeptical when I approached Ascent. I called several times and needed to make sure they were a real business as so many Credit agency's may not appear to be the proper collectors . This became a project that I could NOT spearhead on my own. With all the self help books I accumulated on credit and loan repairing it was time to pass the batton to an expert . Lisa is an expert and assured me that if I work with them and remain CONSISTENT through the process that I would see positive results. 6 months later during my first review I saw a huge improvement. I agree with some of the previous reviewers, who indicated that their credit score did not increase significantly while using this service. I also agree that removing misspelled or wrong names and addresses is not exactly heroic work. When I started questioning their methods and "what have they done for me" in the time that I signed up, and to give me a "before and after" credit score, I initially was told that a current, "accurate credit report" will cost me hundreds of dollars. I find it very odd that they are a "credit repair agency", but couldn't tell me what my current credit score is! How do they then know that they have improved it!! Having requested these things, I then received a nice email informing me that they have "completed" their work with me, and bidding me goodbye. They refused to furnish me with those so called letters/ communication that they supposedly send to the credit agencies, as they informed me, stating some sort of "legal" reason for their refusal. It's a nice, little scam to do things that I found could be done on your own, simply by signing on with those same credit agencies to clean up your credit. read more

I worked with this company almost 14-15 months.. First off all last 5-6 months they did not do anything with my credit.. They keep charging me monthly fee so i can stay with them another year i guess. I've spent more than 2K in this period (because there are a lot of charges they told me they corrected informations on my credit file such as a wrong letter in my name or misspelled house address number i lived 10 years ago) Anyways i have sent a lot of emails indicating my concerns to Aaron after 6-9-12 months but he wrote me long long emails pretty much nothing related to my concerns. For me it was a waste of time and money.. my score did not go up or changed as they told me it would.. There were a lot of problems. Paid a lot of fees and waited patiently 12-14 months nothing happened. I do not recommend this business for people with high hopes. looking for 20-50 point increase in your score then it is a right company for you. read more

My outstanding credit card debt had ballooned due to some bad money management on my part, I admit it. But I really had to refinance my home within the next 3 years. Enter Ascent Network, who I was referred to by a friend of someone who had had success with them in the past. It was the BEST call I have ever made. They couldn't undo the mess I had gotten myself into overnight, as it took me a while to get to the where I was at. But within the amount of time they estimated to me at the outset of my credit repair, my credit score is now at 701. My refinance on my home will save me $160 a month as well as go from Interest only to Interest + Principle. I couldn't be happier and know that my family and I can stay in our home we've has for the last 20 years for the next 20 years :) If there was a way to give them 10 stars instead of 5 they would get it! read more

I worked with Lisa a little over 2 years, she is very on top of the files. They do tell you "about" 6 months when you sign up with them, but had i cancelled at 6 months my credit was not much better. I did end up with about a 150 point increase in my credit score from Ascents diligence, and getting new credit cards and paying them off or on time. Toward the end of my relationship with them sending pages and pages of reports got to be tedious, i was trying to wait out 2 negative files that never ended up getting removed. You do pay about $70 per month and $7 per item, i was shocked to find that old adresses and names are included in what you pay to remove because they hurt your credit score. I would recommend Ascent but say do not expect credit rating miracles in 6 months and be aware they can remove a lot of things but not everything. I chose a 3 star rating because working with them will up your credit score significantly, but -1 star because signing up i was under the impression 6 months to a year and it took a little over 2 years. -1 star because after my 2 years i still have 2 derogatory things on my credit rating. read more

As much as I hate to leave bad reviews, I have to give maximum of 1 stars to Ascent. I am not sure where to start. I contacted them through a referral ( that referral later on stopped working with Ascent), when I talked to Aaron over the phone, he was very nice, and answered my questions. I used their services for credit repair, Aaron suggested that I have to use their services for 6 months to see a good change, I took his advice and actually used them for 18 months may be little more. Well, end of the 6 months, I saw no change, so I thought I should wait little longer. End of 12th month, I contacted Lisa and Aaron and asked them to send me an update on my file, I wanted to see the improvements, and I wanted to see what they have done within 12 months. Unfortunately, I got no response for my email. Later on, about 2 months later, I was contacted by Lisa for a balance due for my monthly payment( you have to pay a monthly payment + lots of fees), I replied to her email and asked her to send me a report of what they have done so far, and asked her not to charge my card for any of the future services. Well, of course no response to that either and they charged me 2 more months. Finally yesterday, I was contacted again by Lisa for a payment, this time I asked her that I am no longer interested in their services, well this time she replied, and told me that I am responsible for the next months payment ( which is from today till next Month). I said I don't want them to do anything for me, and I just simply don't want their services anymore. I explained the reason, I told her that I never got responses for my emails. Guess what, she sent me a screen shot of the Looooooong agreement that we did over 18 months ago. On that agreement, it does say that I have to let them them know 30 days in advance for cancellation. I told her that I sent an email over 4 months ago stating im no longer interested, and told her that she never replied. At first, she stated they have copies of each email, I said thats great, and asked her to show me the reply, of course she didn't answer again. Anyways, long story short, I attached all the emails that I sent, and proved that none of them were responded. They charged me thousands for 18 months( watch out for their fees), very little improvement on my credit ( not a penny worth it), they will give you promises fixing the credit in 6 month ( totally NOT true, its not going to happen). Lisa asked me to pay for the coming month for cancellation, even though she will not do anything for me, well thats fine I will pay for it as well to get it over with. I do not recommend working with them, if you will, please ask over and over about their " additional fees" that you would never be aware of. They will tell you its in that looooong agreement, which is true. Terrible experience. read more

For those of you who have doubts about credit repair services please call these guys! They have helped my fiancee and I turn our credit around where we just purchased 2 cars at 0.9% interest! This is a non profit company and while you will incur fees these fees will be much less the other companies. I highly Recommend Lisa as she is a TIGER who will stay on top of the Credit Bureaus to remove anything that will hinder your credit!
