Purchased a button maker online and add-on die. Came quickly…read more Turns out the one i got was defective in that the add-on dies didn't exactly fit and got stuck once they were in there. The main machine was fine however. Contacted customer service and was told to send the machine back so they could potentially fix or replace. However, they wouldn't provide a return label. This is a heavy machine that needs to be shipped internationally. Why should I be responsible for return shipping costs when it obviously has a problem? I could see if i just wanted to return it. I offered to return the defective parts, they insist that i send the whole machine back. Didn't even offer to send replacements. It's not a perfect machine and not without it's other issues outside of the main one, but this just puts the nail in the coffin for me. Haven't gotten a response to my latest email. Not gonna be purchasing anything else from here again for fear I'd get stuck with something that doesn't work.

i was trying to do some Christmas shopping for my mother in this store, and could only stay inside…read morefor about a minute. the woman working at the cash was loudly complaining to another customer about Queen's students pulling out credit cards to pay for anything and everything without worry, because their "rich parents would just pay the credit card bill". she went on to say "but I can't say anything to them because I'm supposed to be nice to the students". the other customer looked visibly uncomfortable, and I was appalled by her behaviour. I hope the storeowner or employee sees this review and seriously considers what they talk about and to whom, because they are actively driving away business. I will not be going back to this store.

Here is one example of many. Hock Shop Canada sells guitars that are real junk. The guitars they sell are overpriced junk full of covered damages such as cracks in the necks and bodies of the guitars, worn out guitars, warped and damaged guitars that have never been stored, maintained or looked after, lowest quality guitars made in China and the list is endless. You get the idea. When people off the street sell Hock Shop Canada their junk guitars, the guitar's defects are pointed out right away by Hock Shop Canada to them to command a rock bottom price to be paid for the guitar, the lowest garage sale type price for a parts guitar. After the junk guitar is bought for next to nothing, Hock Shop Canada gets right to work on the junk guitar to clean up and cheaply cover up the damages. Cracks in the guitar's wood can be filled in and touched up good enough to sell the guitar. Worn out frets can be polished and filed to look newer. Warped guitar necks can be adjusted to help cover up the defects. Broken electronics can be patched together to work long enough to sell the guitar, and on and on. After a guitar's damages and wear are cheaply covered up, the guitars are put on the store rack for top dollar, (with a humidifier in front of them to maintain the cheap cover up's), just under what the guitar would sell for new or what a perfect same model guitar would sell for on e bay. When the customer goes into Hock Shop Canada, they are told what great quality and value the guitars they sell are. Many customers off the street are not guitar experts. They are beginners in guitars and are looking for a first or second guitar to learn to play and practice with. Hock Shop Canada preys on these people and gives them a load of misrepresentation, telling them whatever it takes to make a sale. When the customer purchases a guitar from Hock Shop Canada, they are told they get a 30 day warranty, no cash refunds and exchange only. When the customer brings the guitar they purchased home, the cheaply covered up defects and damages soon appear. The covered up cracks in the guitar's neck and body appear due to the slightest change in humidity and temperature. The warps go back to their original state and on and on. The consumer soon realizes with the help of internet guitar sites or seeking out the advice of a guitar tech, they bought a misrepresented guitar that is only good as a wall hanging or firewood. When the consumer returns the guitar back to Hock Shop Canada, they are out of the over inflated price they paid for the junk guitar. Hock Shop Canada only gives their ripped off customers two options, Exchange for another piece of junk or given a worthless gift card that they can only get another worthless piece of junk with. The gift card has no value, because when the customer buys another junk guitar, the guitar has no resale value. The guitar can only be sold as a junk guitar or a parts guitar. If a customer paid $200.00 for a cracked guitar and if they are honest, they can only sell the guitar for what it really is, a cracked junk guitar for some parts or a wall hanging. They would be lucky to get $25.00 for it. One crooked store that sells misrepresented products, causes consumers to dislike the whole mall and never shop at the mall again.
