My son was greeted with a handshake and eye contact to wish him a very happy birthday. Throughout the meal, we enjoyed the education of where the beef came from and the freshness of everything that was offered. My surprise favorite was the tomatoes and pickles. The pink tomato was so fresh and delicious. I could eat that everyday. The service was some of the best in Spain and the food too. We loved it here and would highly recommend to anyone who was in Valencia. The restaurant also hailed us a taxi to get back once we were done. All little details that positively impacted the experience. I can't say enough good things about the meat market.

We found it because it was the place that opened up the earliest for dinner (9:30pm), and what a gem we found! We ordered the menu that was inclusive of appetizers, salted steak, desserts, and wine. My mouth waters thinking about the food here 13 years later! The atmosphere was amazing. It looks like nothing from the outside, as it's in an industrial area, but inside you are transported to old world Spain (in my mind). It is a DO NOT miss place.

So if the staff eat at the same palce they work, got to have something about the place. ALWAYS BOOK!!!!! Can't fault the food nor the service. You have to get the attention of the staff sometimes, but that's only because they are so busy. Once you have they are very attentive. Air Conditioned, Children's Menu, Disabled Facilities, Limited Parking, but street parking normally OK, if not competing with the church. Highly recommend the fillet steak, and the spare ribs. The children's menu is equally good. One of the young chefs came out to talk to us on our second visit.

I had tasted baby lamb in other restaurants where the meat is tender and the skin was crispy. The one that was served to me in this restaurant was not as crispy and the meat was a bit tough (or overcooked?). It was supposed to be a serving for one person and I was able to eat only half of what was served. I am not sure if I will go back to this restaurant again; but, if I do, it will not be to order their supposed specialty of baby lamb.
