I'm especially a big fan of their Yhansy line of accessories, which used to have its own stall in Shangri-La I've had to say goodbye to. Their stuff can be a little odd sometimes, which I like, and they're not all that expensive either. Their men's clothes can also be quite interesting, especially the Mundo line, which is always out there, with the prices to match. The shoes can be good though, and are much more affordable. There are a lot more stores in the place for sure, but I guess the problem is the whole area can get a little muddled and confusing, with their home line being hidden in the corner, covered by children's clothing, and all the women's clothes overlapping each other. It's honestly a bit cluttered, which is why they don't get as much traffic as they'd want from what I can tell.

Like I could really like this dress, but I wouldn't know that it's not uso anymore or that it's drab or boring. It's like fashion-blindness. Everything looks good on a hanger or a mannequin. So imagine me in a place with lots of good clothes like The Ramp Crossings in Trinoma. PROS: The place is just so classy and beautiful, like a #ladyboss type of store with crisp shirts and stylish dresses. There is a huge variety of styles - from the trendy and edgy, to the girly florals and flowy fabrics, to the classic LBDs and killer heels. The Ramp has it all. I can't help but get lost in the beauty of all these clothes I think I'd never get to pull off; They have shoes, accessories, even some pieces of furniture and décor at their Crossings Home brand. CONS: When you buy clothes from Crossings, you're dressed to kill. And it kills the budget too because their apparels are fairly expensive. It's on the mid- to high-range pricing, which I think is justifiable given the good clothes that they sell. TL;DR: The Ramp Crossings offers stylish pieces and classy accessories for the Manila fashionista.

Most Asian brands' sizes are too darn small, and more often than not, the foreign brands that do carry my size are either too darn expensive, or have limited styles. Jeans especially are a pain to find, being limited to stretch and slim or skinny cuts. This is why it was such a joy to find Jail Jeans. They have ready-to-wear stocks and can customize jeans as well. They proudly use raw demin, which as I have learned, is way better than buying washed denim. The difference? Washed denim is already pre-stretched, which means that the denim is not it it's natural flow or "bagsak". Also, the process of washing or bleaching is also very harmful to the environment. Whereas raw denim, the more you wear it, will take your body as mold. It sounds odd, but those who have had the luxury of owning a pair swear by it. The quality is just impeccable! The owner, designer Chris Jasler, is usually at the store to recommend what would fit your body shape well, so it also makes it a lot easier for those who can get a bit confused with fitting raw denim for the first time. Plus, it's not just jeans they make. They also have their own line of shirts, jackets, accessories, even shoes! Not yet convinced? Well, stars like Leo Valdes and Martin Nievera swear by it. Heck, even foreign DJ Nic Fanciulli bought a suit from Jail Jeans. Is that enough?

Before they sold me my first pieces they asked me to send in pictures of me for sizing I felt surprised because no one ever did this before. Great material, outstanding design and inter mixable with my existing wardrobe . How fantastic now I can be edgy but still maintain my identity. He promised to send me pictures of new items as soon as they are available what else can I ask for.I really think that this will be a great relationship and a great addition to my clothes collection. I also loved a bracelet I got which is part of their accessory collection .Thanks Chris

Yes, we went here the morning of Chinese New Year! There were so many people! But, there were discounts in all the stores. :) To get to the shop, you have to squeeze your way to the Yangco Market building. Once you're inside you have to walk to the very end. The shop will be right in front of a Barong and Jusi shop. The reason why we went all the way to this shop (honestly, this section of Binondo is the fabrics and textiles area) is because Carlo's brother bought his fabrics for his wedding at this same shop. So, of course, we expected discounts! The fabrics here are of very good quality and, from what the owner told us, is sourced from the "original" fabric warehouses. Not sure if that's true but, I felt the quality in the fabrics he showed us. Note: we made the mistake of saying that we were making a suit for the groom. The fabric price for a groom's suit to a normal suit is way higher. We did get a discount but, seriously the same fabric was Php200 less when you say it's a normal suit.

The idea that men can also be fussy and sartorial about their fashion choices says a lot about how our attitude towards dressing up has changed, with many of the boys having a renewed interest in classic and timeless pieces that just set one apart from the crowd. It doesn't have to be anything striking - the fact that you are dressed in quality clothes that fit well already make you a standout in a city where people go for functionality over aesthetics. Boys can be "maarte" too, and in a good way. That just goes to show that we value self-branding and presentation now as much as the girls do. Shops like Signet in Legazpi Village will pave the way to a more fashion forward Manila. This multi-brand store carries a number of different brands and styles for the modern gentleman. If you like to splurge a little on a few basics, such as a pair of body-hugging Selvedge jeans, or really cool socks to match your power suit, or even fun every day footwear that highlight both comfort and looks, Signet has imported brands that must be in every man's closet. Looking for that Picasso-esque Breton tee for an effortlessly fashionable look? Signet has different brands that have a great fit for every body type. The overall aesthetic is gunning for a strong homage to vintage and classic styles that give the modern gentleman such a polished, refined and nonchalantly classy look. Savoir faire at quite a price, but it's all worth it. I chanced upon this store because I was intrigued by the really classy facade. I love the window display - simple yet elegant. I was waiting for a meeting so I went inside and had a chat with Kevin, one of the shopkeepers. He is very well-versed about his brands and he also gave me a few recommendations as to what brands will suit my lifestyle better. Their store is all about investment pieces that will age well, and though I'm not in a hurry to part with my hard-earned cash even for really nice clothes, it's nice to know that I now know where to shop.

Their knack for putting together a stable of brands both compelling and quaint resulted in Manila's best place for menswear's brightest talents: Ami, the eponymous label of Alexandre Mattiusi; Over All Master Cloth, from former Supreme and Carhartt contributors; Folk, British purveyors of easygoing casual wear; and APC, a veritable Kanye favorite. The yellow and white interior offers a playful space to browse their selection of Kitsune sweats, though the store's location on SM Aura's ground floor--notorious for being noisy and crowded--seems rather out of place. On the other hand, anyone with a keen eye will be drawn to this menswear oasis and will shut out everything other than the clothes. The dressing rooms might be a little too dim for a WAYWT-worthy selfie, but if you already know about these brands, you probably don't need to be dressed by the internet.
