I was in town for a few days and Marshall (lockjaw_ink on instagram) did a Tron inspired tattoo for me. Excellent quality tattoo! I didn't know exactly what I wanted and he worked with me for a while to get it just right. Priced right too. Thanks! read more

I went in and got my belly button pierced yesterday for the "friendship friday" deal. Mike was my piercer and he was amazing! I am such a baby when it comes to piercings (even though I have six piercings and 3 tattoos), but he was very nice about it. I brought my two best friends into the room with me and Mike had us giggling the entire time. I would 100% go back to him again. read more

The piercer here was very emotionless and rude. Had pretty much zero customer service/people skills. Getting a piercing for some people can be a really big deal, and his complete lack of sociability kind of ruined the experience. He didn't give an option for which kind of stud to get, he just chose for us - and then didn't explain how to care for the piercing or take it out. When my friend asked him how to, he shamed her for not asking sooner. Very odd. I get that tattoo people and piercers have this rough edge and badass personality but that doesn't give them the right to be unsociable. Just yesterday a different group of friends mentioned how rude the piercer at Artistic Minds was to them, and I bet it was the same guy. read more

Matt did a wonderful job on my cover-up tattoo... I can't think him enough. The tattoo I needed covered up was horrible.. He knocked it out of the park.. I can't thank you enough Matt.... read more

I went here for my first tattoo, and my artist Matt, did a good job of making sure I was comfortable before I got the tattoo. The tattooing process was very quick, and tattoo came out very neat! I was given a very thorough explanation for tattoo aftercare. They also accepted a walk in on short notice for me. Highly recommend this place! read more

This is my favorite place to get a tattoo! I'm scheduling number five this week. I've had two different artists there and they were both great. Having received tattoos at three other local shops, I'm confident that Artistic Minds is the best in the area. Additionally, they are the most competitively priced! read more

I'd like to say that I had a review for the actual talent of this place, but after waiting 30 min for the piecer to get off the phone, he never even acknowledged us. I guess he decided that going on a smoke break was more important than our business. Pity. read more

ENERGY IS WAY OFF. From out of town, stopped in to make an appointment for my wife and I to both get a tattoo to commemorate our tenth wedding anniversary. When the artist approached us to schedule his vibe was as if we were bothering him and in a rush. we settled on a date less than a week away, told him both pieces weren't going to be very big or elaborat, (this would have been my wife's first tattoo, I have several though) we had never heard of this place and they didnt offer a portfolio so I wasn't going to just offer up my whole left arm for a sleeve until I seen if the artist could actually do a decent job. (and yes I was looking to schedule for a sleeve as well.) When we told him what my wife wanted, he immediately interrupted and said I don't do couple tattoos, they will just end up coming back in wanting them covered up.. ummm after I let him know we had been married for 10 years, I told him if he didn't want to do it we would go somewhere that did and left. I should add that this wasn't a "couple tattoo" we weren't getting matching tattoos and what she wanted was a very personal piece that was small but meant a lot to her and would have been a great starter to see if she could handle getting ink. I didn't even get a chance to tell him they weren't matching tattoos or what I even wanted let alone that we both wanted 3 different pieces (the others would have been depending on how his work was) but apparently they don't like money here and their opinion of what you want on your own body is more important than that of your own or customer service. Maybe he just didn't think he was good enough to do the piece we asked for or maybe he thought he was too good to be doing small meaningful tattoos and thinks that he should leave his schedule open for walk ins looking for 30 hour back pieces lol idk either way we will not go there again and will wait until we get home to get what we want from Someone that believes in being professional and likes money. Hopefully his attitude doesnt represent the whole shop. read more

Very welcoming atmosphere in this shop. I came in with a piercing poorly done by another piercing shop and the piercer, Michael, was so nice and helpful and replaced my piercing. I wish I came to Artistic Mind in the first place. I will definitely come back with any piercings or tattoos I want in the future. read more

I've gotten my nose pierced here and there were no issues as well as my Medusa and still no issues. Just recently my girlfriend and I went in because we wanted to get our tattoos priced out. The guy at the counter referred us to another artist and he came up to the front. This particular artist wasn't paying attention to what we were saying at all it was sooo cringey to watch because my girlfriend had so many questions and he was being super short with her and kept giving her one worded answers. It was sort of like pulling teeth to get him to interact with us! He did not look up from his iPad during the encounter at all after a good 6 minutes of us trying to talk to him he pointed us in the direction of his portfolio which, I should say, was less than mediocre. I'm glad he gave us such Shitty customer service, because if he wouldn't have done so; we would've never ended up at Bomber Crew Tattoo read more

Nice shop, super clean and professional. They were more than happy to help me design my tattoo. Personal note: the folks at AMT are REALLY into movies, as am I, the decor & collectibles from movies can keep you entertained while you wait your turn. read more

In March I got my daith pierced and I have never had a piercing heal so well! Mike is incredibly focused and very through when explaining aftercare, he writes exactly everything you need from how often to clean to when it's a good time to change. I went back to get my nipples done and I'm incredibly satisfied with the results!! Check out Artistic Mind tattoos and hit up Mikes stab shack!!! You wont be disappointed read more

I loved this place. I went here for my first tattoo and everyone was really cool and calm. Bring my first tattoo it was definitely pretty nerve racking and my tattoo artist Johnny was super friendly and talkative. Best of all he did a really dope job on the tattoo. He even dropped the price down 40$ due to not taking as. Long. I'm not from the Carbondale area but was visiting my sister at college and would recommend it to anyone who is in the area. 5 stars for sure. read more
