Stopped here for a birthday party, and the little one liked the class, although with the total number of kids, the single instructor was a bit less clear with instructions (no one-on-one time given so many kids), but they came back with a happy face and a nice acrylic painting that mirrored a picture they were painting off of. My experience with Atevino Milburn was amazing. They are very accommodating and flexible.

Don't buy a Groupon. I bought a two person Groupon for $54. When I went to reserve it did not take my code. I had to outright purchase two tickets for $120. I was told by email it would be refunded. When we showed, the person there did not know how to take care of it. She was texting the person who did. I was told to call that week which I got an answering machine. Emailed no response. Emailed and called again no response. Groupon expired. I contacted Groupon and they contacted Artevino and they told Groupon to refund me the $54 instead of refunding my $120. Still no reimbursement from anyone. Not worth the hassle and definitely not worth $60 per person. read more

My friend gave me the gift of a painting class at ArteVino in Millburn. It's something we've always enjoyed doing and I was really looking forward to it. We signed up for a class with a picture we both liked. The day before they told us the class was cancelled because they didn't have 8 people signed up and to pick another one. We did, only to have that class cancelled. This happened 3 times before we actually got to take a class. We arrived about 10 minutes early on our day and were ready to go at the start time of 2pm. Not all of the people who signed up to attend were there so the instructor waited to start about 20-30 minutes. The cups we were given to clean our brushes in were filthy reused plastic cups and the brush handles were filled with hardened paint. The easels we used to hold our canvases were caked with old dried paint. The sink area was filthy with paint all over the wall and the sink. Once we got started the instructor told us several times to 'keep up' with her which made me feel pressured. About 4:15 she started telling us that she had another class at 5 and to finish up. She started the class late shouldn't we get the full time allotted? As we were finishing and leaving the instructor repeatedly told everyone to leave her a tip. 'I take cash, Zelle or Venmo'. She said it personally to my friend and I several more times and when we tried to leave she stood in front of us and said she wanted a tip. I was very embarrassed because I didn't have anything extra to give and felt humiliated by her repeated insistence that we had to give her a tip. We contacted the owner whose response was that they would 'replay the video' because they record all classes and speak to the instructor. Poor customer service all around. We will not be recommending or returning to ArteVino in Millburn. read more

I have to leave this review even without attending a class. I booked a class for a bachelorette shindig and the entire process was complicated and very unprofessional. First, it's impossible to speak to a representative. They only text but can't get anyone on the phone. I bought a Groupon for 4 ppl and had trouble with online booking so I asked to be booked via text. I have no idea who I was talking to, but I imagine a manager of some sort. They booked me Friday afternoon for a class the next morning and a few hours later, I received a text saying we were the only people attending so they will cancel the class. I thought this was odd since she never mentioned the low attendance just 3 hours before. In short, she let me know that is not odd and it's a business and if I wanted to pay full price, they would hold the class otherwise it's not going to work. I felt bummed that I was treated like my Groupon wasn't the same as being a paying customer when THEY put their own business on the site. But what really made me upset was the unapologetic attitude she had. Their website says customers would be notified 48 hours in advance of cancellation, so when I booked less than 24 hours in advance...wouldn't she have said that? As the employee put, "common sense" would say no. But the policy was changed because of COVID-19 but has not been updated on the website. So unless you're wanting to have a class canceled last minute, I suggest booking elsewhere. read more

Buyer Beware!!! My son purchased 2 seats for a Saturday 12pm class as a Mother's Day present for me. He received a phone call the night before saying that the class was being canceled because we were the only 2 signed up for that class. He wanted a refund but the woman, Tatiana said he had to choose another class. My son works weeknights so we can only go on the weekend and even then our schedules are booked up now that summer is approaching. Tatiana is impossible to reach. She will not talk to you over the phone. She even disconnected her phone one day. She finally responded to my email telling us to choose a class that had atleast 4 people signed up. I kept checking the art de vino calendar for availability on any of the 3 Saturday classes but nobody was signing up for them. At around 3pm on that Saturday she changed the status on all those 3 classes to Sold Out. This was so deceiving. This is misleading to customers and an out right lie. She should have changed the status to Canceled. I am ready to report this place to the Better Business Bureau. Tatiana cannot accommodate us, refuses to call us back, and is denying my son a refund. Go to another art studio. STAY AWAY FROM THIS ONE. read more

We had a great night painting The Starry Night. We were able to bring our favorite wine and I'm not going to lie, it made the process easier. The instructors were really helpful throughout the whole painting. I do recommend having the option of purchasing an already traced picture. If that was an option I would have definitely done it in order to save time and have more time to finish my painting. Looking forward to the next class! I came here with my boyfriend to celebrate our 5 year anniversary. We had the time of our lives and painted an amazing sun and moon partner piece. We did have trouble finding parking which caused us to be late so I would advise you try to arrive an hour early if you're going on a weekend. Nonetheless, the instructor invited us in and helped catch us up to the rest of the class. He was very insightful and encouraging and gave good advice. Went on a Friday night with my best friend and the event just happened to be couples night. It was perfect! Plus any event that's BYOB is always a good time! So much fun with music playing in the background. The instructor, Kristin (who's awesome btw!) was very patient with all of us, complimented everyone and took her time explaining how to do the different strokes. No experience necessary and everything is provided from cups, corkscrews, a small fridge to chill your beverage, canvas paint and brushes! The place is clean as well which is an A in my book! Definitely coming back here again and might possibly book a private party ;) great way to just chill and socialize. The location is surrounded by cute little shops and variety of restaurants.
