This place serves açai in the coconuts which is how I want to be served from now on haha. Their sandwiches are delicious and so are their food plates like Carne Assada Desfiada which is shredded tender marinated beef. The sides that I love best are Farofa from here (they add roasted garlic in the farofa) and Batata Frita which are homemade fried sliced thick potato chips. Other sides are salad and jiló which is caramelized squash. Their Pastéis as an appetizer is delicious which are Brazilian empanadas. The shrimp or shrimp and cheese are my favorite. I love that this location was walking distance from my stay. Beachfront. Also their restroom is kept very clean w/neon lights hahaha.

The acai was sweet but not overly sweet. I got mango, pineapple and strawberries with it. I loved how they didn't just put the fruit on top but they layered it like a parfait. The sweetness of the acai with the tart of the fruit was such a delicious balance. We had it for lunch one day and as an after lunch snack another day. The people don't speak English but that's mostly all over Rio, you can just use google translate or point to what you want. They have bowls as well as different sized cups. It's a really nice place inside, clean too. But you can miss it if you're walking too fast.

AMBIANCE: Parking: Parking is pretty tough as it is mainly street parking so we just Ubered. here. Seating: Places to sit both inside and outside. Room for about 3 groups (4 people inside) and about 6 tables outside for pairs. Feels: The surroundings are pretty neat. You are walking distance from the beach and about a 10-15 minute drive to the parque. It's a lowkey touristy spot which has a lot of nice surroundings. The space itself is pretty popping and lively. The Top 40 music made me feel like I was back in US and the space was decorated with pictures their menu. FOOD: Acai Bowl I can't remember the exact name of it but I was given oats, honey with options of medium or large and 2 fruit choices. The presentation was lovely as it was served in a glass and the acai itself was delicious. Served cold and pretty sweet. CUSTOMER SERVICE: Great people! Friendly and quick with the service. TL; DR OVERALL: 5 Stars. Out of all the acai spots I've been to, this was probably the best however it's probably because they specialize in acai. I loved the choices, price and service. Whenever I'm in this part of Rio de Janeiro, I'll be sure to swing by here. TIPS: * You have the choice of making your own or ordering from the menu.

I was very excited to try this place since another friend had recommended this, unfortunately I…read moredidn't have a good experience. I went there with 2 of my other friends, none of us spoke portuguese, but I speak Spanish so I can deff get by. The place was cute and small, it was empty and seemed clean. There were about 4 girls behind the counter, I proceeded to order but the girl taking my order didn't seem to understand, which confused me even more because there was a big menu on the wall AND a smaller menu on the counter with pictures so pointing to what you want is super easy. They even had display cups to compare sizes (which I can always appreciate) At the end, my friends and I all got our açaí cups BUT only 1 order was correct and the other 2 weren't. When I tried to explain to the girl that took my order, she insisted I'm the one that made the mistake, nobody behind that counter seemed apologetic nor like they really cared and that rubbed me the wrong way. My friends and I left so confused as in why they got our picture pointing wrong ... Anyway, they did have a lot of toppings and a good variety of sizes but unfortunately my experience wasn't a good one so I don't think I'm coming back.

Just like an egg sandwich with loads of cheese (if you don't want lots of cheese be sure to specify as cheese overload typical). I like the acai at Bibi more than the variety at the next-corner Big Polis. The only area I have to drop them a star is when I saw them pouring coconut water into a cup out of carton. In the land of fresh coconut water, it's a sin for a fresh fruit juice and sandwich spot to not offer the real deal. There's limited seating and it's all outdoor, so not ideal for rainy days.
