Some people know about marketing and other live in their own bubble. Yesterday I found out, from one bussiness to another.
I brought my friend to show her one of my fav postcards winkel in Amsterdam, where everytime I go inside, I never leave empty handed, except yesterday. I checked in on Yelp and I've seen that they don't have that many pics to make them justice. Started to take a few shots and the lady there (not the usual nice, polite one) came and told me I am not allowed to take photos. I said ok and tried to explain her my purpose (free advertising for them) and she said If I would've asked first there wouldn't be a problem. So in fact it wasn't a matter of taking photos but of principles. I was disappointed by this mentality and decided to leave shopping for another day. I can respect their right but I was trying to make them a favor, the merchandise in this store is from different brands, so I can't understand that reaction.
They receive 3 stars because I struggle not to judge them about this but about their very nice postcards, notebooks and an amazing universe of paper-craft. My favorites are the postcards with different cute messages, notebooks with so many cute covers, metal signs vintage like and the small wallet bags which I like to offer them as a gift or use them as a clutch :) read more
