This place was super fun, it was only my friend and I so the teacher easily could've canceled the class or been unexcited to have the class last night but he was great! He even did a little self portrait of me on my drawing! So much fun!! read more

Richard came to my office to lead us in a painting session for our annual meaning. I hadn't painted anything since high school, but this was amazing. He led us but also allowed for people's creativity to change things. He was chill and the experience was great for bonding. I loved it so much I think I might get some paints and canvas and try painting some on my own! read more

Art Experience - My painting of flowers that I made during this class, with almost no experience - Art Classes Near Me - Osage Beach, Missouri

Perfect place for a bridal shower or bachelorette party in Kansas City. It's something unique and fun your guests will remember! Even if you have no artistic skills, your painting will be beautiful. The instructors are very patient and good at explaining details and even helping you with your canvas if you want it. Location is perfect in the Crossroads Arts District and very convenient to downtown with free parking. The space is beautiful, bright, and will inspire you creatively. You don't have to be having a "party" to paint here. Their studio is open on Thursday nights for individual reservations too. They're starting to add more painting options and I believe if you're reserving a group, you can send them an example of a painting you want them to lead. Love that you can bring in your own food and drinks! read more

I had a GREAT time here last night. This was definitely not a paint by numbers kind of a class. We were very much challenged to go beyond our comfort zone and find our inner artists. Alcohol helps with that. It's a fun experience. Richard is was really friendly and funny. I laughed as much as I painted. The space is ideal for getting the creative juices flowing, the whole room is like a piece of art. read more

We booked a painting class for my Dads birthday this month and had SO much fun here. Richard was amazing and made even the most artistically challenged people (like myself) feel like a pro. The atmosphere was super laid back and fun and they plenty of time for wine and snack breaks throughout the session :). Richard also won some bonus points for letting us raincheck on two tickets. We were supposed to have 7 ppl at the class and 2 were unable to attend last minute. We fully intended to eat the ticket prices since they reserved those 2 seats for us, but he was super understanding of the last minute change and put the two tickets back on a giftcard for us without us even asking. It was such a great experience and we will definitely be back! read more

My friend and I have always wanted to try out a BYOB painting class and finally were able to last night. It just so happened that the class was a couples class, but Richard was happy to have us. We had a blast! We were the first to arrive and the last to leave after staying and talking to Richard ~30 minutes after class ended. We will definitely be back. I highly recommend this studio! read more

We had the best time imaginable!!! Being able to bring your own Food, Wine and Played our own music?! It was phenomenal!!! Threw a surprise Private Party with about 15+ people!! Our Instructor Richard was sooo much fun and kind! The day we scheduled, it happened to be his birthday!! So of course my entire party sang for him!!! We literally loved every minute of it! The Art Experience is definitely a place we will be returning to!! The decor inside will get you in the mood to become an Artist! lol Richard explained every detail when we were ready to begin, we had a lot of first timers and non painters but he made us feel very comfortable and made sure we had a good time!!! His helper Michelle was also very nice and very helpful! At times we knew she wanted to laugh at our paintings, but it was all in fun! THE BEST NIGHT EVER read more

I'm a terrible painter (downside of being a writer) and Richard has done an exceptional job to make me not only produce a painting that looks great, but also providing a fun and relaxing environment to do so in. I have taken over a handful of my "paint shy" friends to art experience and everyone has had a blast and left accomplished. Ricard has been doing this for decades and it shows. Please treat yourself to this experience! read more

Art Experience - Not too shabby for no experience at Art Experience. - Art Classes Near Me - Osage Beach, Missouri

Made a reservation for a class, spent $70... No one showed up. Door locked, no one in sight. I really hope we can get a refund. How unprofessional!!! Zero Stars!!!! Edited to add one more star for a quick refund once their realized their mistake. read more

I was searching online for one evening for BYOB painting classes in the Kansas City area and boy am I glad I found Lush and Brush. Just like similar establishments, Lush and Brush offers classes in the evening, however I was thrilled to discover they offered weekend classes too. I have been to other painting classes in the area, but nothing compares to the experience I had at Lush and Brush. The instructors were incredibly engaging and you can tell that they love the work they do. The guidance they provided and the overall experience I had last Saturday was sublime. Great location, awesome studio, wonderful experience. Lush and Brush will continue to get my business. Plus its a great place to take a date! read more

It was a blast. Richard was great (and so happily tolerant of us all, as the drinking progressed). Awesome studio. Haven't painted since middle school and it was cathartic and fun. LOVE the BYOB aspect. And loved taking my art home! read more

Had so much fun! Rich is really nice and so fun! Not only does he make complicated photos possible for the less skilled artist, but he takes the time to walk around to each person and assist! read more

Richard was great! My girlfriend and I were the only two who signed up for a session on Easter and he held the class anyways with just the two of us! Very personable and definitely a great help with techniques! Definitely will come again! read more

We had a lot of fun, used the groupon. Definitely worth the price. You bring your own beer or wine, and you paint a specific painting over the course of 2 hours under the guidance of an instructor. The space is very unique. Lots of cool pieces to look at. Had a lot of fun! read more

My boyfriend and I had a great time here. We did a couples piece for Valentine's day. Richard was a very easy-going instructor who offered us lots of tips on how to put our own touch on our painting. We would definitely like to go back and bring some friends. Expect to take the full 3 hours. It's not meant to be in-and-out, but for you to bring some drinks, relax, and have a good time. Two thumbs up! read more

Had a great time. Space is great! Our event ran a few minuted long but more because everyone seemed like they wanted to keep painting. Everyone was finished but I learned that there always seems to be one more thing you need to do to make it perfect. I could not be happier. We will do it again soon. read more

This is a fabulous local non-corporate business located in the heart of Kansas City's Crossroads Arts District. The owners, Dimitri and Richard were incredibly helpful and it was an amazing time, perfect outing for a Thursday night. Not your typical "drinking and painting" these guys really know how to be patient with their first timers and challenge those who are looking for a truly artistic experience. I can totally see this being a great place for a date night, birthdays, corporate events, young professionals, etc. In fact my roommate and I enjoyed it so much that we have already booked our birthday there. read more

We went on a Saturday afternoon after a nice long brunch and it was the perfect day time, weekend activity. We sipped on some wine, painted, chatted with the owners (who are incredibly laid back and talented) and left three hours later happy as could be. The studio is very cool, we actually stayed longer and hung out and took pictures after our session was over. The two guys that run this place make the difference from other byob painting classes that I have been to. It is clear that they love what they are doing and are genuinely interested in getting to know people. We felt incredibly relaxed not only with the atmosphere but also with the teaching style. The instructor let us go our own way and ask for help as we needed it. Overall, it was a wonderful day and I will definitely be going back. read more

The Art Experience was wonderful. Richard is both a gracious host and skilled teacher. This was a date night and we both had a memorable evening that we still talk about today. read more

I was definitely looking forward to Art Experience, but it was even more enjoyable than I expected. When my husband and I arrived, Richard, the instructor, pointed us to the fridge for our wine and told us to look around the gallery (VERY cool space). When we got started, he showed us the picture we'd be painting and how the process worked. I don't have an artistic bone in my body so I was a little nervous, but Richard really guided participants well through the painting process. He was totally flexible with the colors we wanted and design and helped advise (or in my case. fix) the paintings as needed. Both my husband and I had a great time and would highly, highly recommend it! read more
