Being from Statesboro, I have always tried to support support the local businesses versus the big…read morebox, chain stores but received a Husqvarna commercial backpack blower as a gift from my wife. During the assembly, I had a problem with the 2 screws that attaches the ring that holds the throttle. The screws just seemed too short to reach the threads. I called Husqvarna customer support with the issue and they recommended they recommended that I register the warranty and take it to 1 of the 2 Husky authorized locations in Statesboro for them to look at. I registered the blower and took it to Durden's Rentals the following day. When I explained the problem to the lady behind the counter, she immediately said, "We don't honor Lowe's warranties!" I explained to her, that I had just purchased the blower and it would be Husqvarna's warranty and not a separate Lowe's warranty. She said, "we don't do any of those warranties, unless it was bought here!" I even explained that I was in the market for a new chainsaw and had previously bought an Echo weed eater from them, attempting to get a little help with my assembly problem. A gentleman working there did interject and asked me what problem I was having with the blower. I explained it to him and he said, "yep, I've heard about that," and continued his other conversation. No one bothered to even look at it. If they don't want to service any Husqvarnas not purchased at their location, they need to call Husky and tell them, they are no longer an authorized dealership/ service center. A warranty service center, is a warranty service center, no matter where you purchased the equipment. Afterwards, I took it the blower to Statesboro Golf Cart center (the other husky service center in Statesboro) and the repairman immediately listened to my problem, took a couple whacks at the inserted factory threads and screwed in the screws. He didn't even bother asking for my warranty information or attempt to charge me. Afterwards, I ended up spending $600 on an Husky XP chainsaw. Sometimes, the mechanically "declined" just needs a little friendly help and I can't thank Stephen at SGC enough for taking the time to listen and help me out. Years ago, I took an old hand held leaf blower in for repair at Durden's and received a $90 repair Bill. Of course, the repair was obviously much more than the value and I just let them have the blower, instead of paying the ridiculous bill. Afterwards, I always took out of warranty repairs in to Arrow rentals, who were very friendly and much more reasonable. I was hoping things at Durden's had changed, but I was sadly mistaken. If they would have bothered, to even look at my problem today, I would have probably bought a new professional line Echo chainsaw from them. A little customer service, goes a long ways.

I would not recommend this company for the marine industry…read more I have a no start condition on my Cat 3208's which I need an experienced technician to troubleshoot. In April 2023 I contacted Yancey Cat and spoke with Jason to which I explained my problem. He said he would look at the schedule and get back to me. Two weeks goes by and no contact so I texted him. He responded "I'm sorry Peter. Working through back log. That was engine No start on both engines and oil filter change". May comes around and I texted if there was any update. He responded "Hello Peter, we have had some conflicts with our scheduling that has us extremely backed up. We will try to make it happen before the end of the month". End of the month comes and goes. I call him and we made arrangements for August 15th as I was gong to be away from the boat for 2 months. July 17th I texted him asking if we were still on for August 15th. "Yes, I'm on vacation and can get back to you next week". August 11th I text him and asked if we are still on for the 15th. "Yes, let me remind the coordinator and shoot you an estimate and cc approval". Well August 15th comes and goes. Called him and talked about getting someone here for the week of 8/28. On 8/23 I asked if we were still on for the week of the 28th and he wanted my email address to send me the estimate (second time). Well the week of the 28th comes and goes. At this point I feel like he is brushing me off. I called him and he said he has a technician in the Brunswick location who is familiar with 3208's. I said they don't have a marine division and he said he can work on those engines. Technician shows up on 9/8 and the first thing he say's is "I have no experience with marine engines". I explained to him my situation and also told him I have an automatic fire extinguisher system as part of the ignition and he said "I have no experience with that". He apologized for wasting my time and said I can try to troubleshoot the problem but I might not be able to fix it and I don't want to take your money. I respected his opinion and apologized for being sent out for something he might not be able to fix. I called Jason and asked why he sent a non-marine technician. Also asked how can we resolve this. We agreed to try in 2 weeks again. I felt the conversation was another brush off. Two weeks goes by and I asked him if we are any closer to get a technician down here to work on my engine problem. "Everyone on the team is aware but still don't have a plan". Another brush off and now it's becoming very unprofessional. I bet if I was a multi-million dollar yacht with Cat engine problems, I wouldn't have been treated this way! I can't believe a large company like this treats potential customers this way...
