He said things like" get away from us and let me do my," most likely because they didn't want me seeing them drop a large antique china closet 3x. I was in my house I can be whenever and say what I want. They are getting paid and even my neighbors heard him. He told my mom. My parents had another move already scheduled with them different gentlemen showed up this time thank goodness but before they even started moving they asked for their tip! I've tried to contact the office several times especially about the first gentleman's behavior cuz it was almost abusive and nobody answers and you cannot get a hold of anyone. I'm guessing cuz they don't want these type of phone calls. The three men today said that the company tells them to ask for the tip In the beginning and my parents did buy them lunch as well and I was going to let it go but this is the second horrible experience in the first one the man was actually verbally abusive to a degree where I had to actually stick up for myself and yell. If they did a good job it might be worth it but I'm not sure that any of them actually are experienced in this I've had several moves myself and have never witnessed people dropping furniture like this or asking for a tip or being rude. I know I can't act like that at my job that's for sure!

Do not use these movers. They did an absolutely terrible job. They dented my hardwood floors and…read morestairs, and scratched the newly painted stairs while moving the furniture. Not only that, they lost my side table. And on top of all of that, they refused to move my washer and stared they'd come back the following day to move it. Then they wanted to charge an extra 300$ to move it even though they charged us for it the first day they came. And, they picked up my furniture at 3pm and didn't get to my new location until after 6pm. To go from Woonsocket to Coventry it took them over 3 hours. And the manager offered no resolution, and was extremely unhelpful. I could not regret using this company more. Do not recommend.

Pictures say it all. They also didn't have the pre-work paperwork and they had no tools. When someone finally brought tools to my building, they only gave them a drill without the type of drill bit they needed (they said a star bit was too specialized to disassemble my bed), so they had to disassemble all furniture manually with a screwdriver. took over 6 hours and that was with my friend and I also unloading the truck. They just told me I had the "basic insurance" (that I had to hurriedly sign in the middle of the move) and only offered to give me $100 back with no negotiation. I can't even remember the last time I posted a negative review, but I have never been so appalled with a company. Do not book college hunks.

You like your stuff going missing? Well, with Arpin, when your stuff goes missing with them they…read morewill provide you with a replacement empty plywood box and pretend they delivered all your stuff. And then tell you that you should suck it up and deal. This plywood box which was once our pots and pans and an Instapot (along with a few other items) was 'provided' and unloaded first (before everything else) and when I asked about it I was informed that I did in-fact have a plywood box that they had moved. Assuming it was some way they used to make the items fit I didn't pursue the issue. Then later, when realizing that half our kitchen was missing I filed a claim and used the actual value of the items, nothing inflated or crazy, and Susan at Arpin said that because I signed for it that we just have to suck it up and buy ourselves new stuff because it took us a few days to go through everything and realize we were missing a box. Since, we have discovered that at least three tagged items moved across the country just disappeared. Arpin slogan: "We let your boxes fall off our trucks!" UPDATE: I CANNOT DECLARE THIS MORE EMPHATICALLY, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! Arpin did a 'trace' on something and then told me that I was screwed and after this review they sent me a check for half the value. Which is not the point, it's the principle. I have since discovered other missing items including a Canon 7d and lenses which was in a bag zipped into another bag that they boxed up and then stole. I am making sure the company I work for never uses these guys again and I am writing these reviews to steer anyone away from this company. NOTE: I'll be making a webpage for the plywood box as well to serve as a permanent online warning to anyone who wants to use this company.

To date I've not received an email or call from them at all (if they did call and it's a call I missed, they didn't even leave a message). Not one peep from them. I chose another company and moved on, don't waste your time with Arpin, if they can't even email or call to respond to a request, think how horribly they'll handle your move.

The experience was dreadful, despite the initially friendly demeanor of the movers. They…read moredisassembled furniture haphazardly and were unable to reassemble it. To exacerbate the situation, a missing part required me to return to my old residence twice. The staff even requested that I drive them there to avoid taking the truck back, which I found unprofessional and irresponsible. They spent over an hour searching for the missing part and proceeded to bill me at the hourly rate during that time. The original quote was for three movers, but they sent four and charged me the higher rate. Both practices were highly unethical, especially since the expected time with three movers exceeded the actual time. The total charge was double that of a quoted move with a competitor. The staff suggested I had no reason to complain since a third party paid for the move, which was, to say the least, insulting. The piece of furniture in question was inexpensive but new. I attempted to fix it with brackets and reinforcements from a hardware store, but it still wobbled. Having moved myself several times, I have never lost a piece of furniture during a move. I wrote to the company, which refused to take responsibility and suggested I make a claim for the .60 cents per pound. I only used this moving company because it met the building's requirements. I would advise anyone to use this company with caution, as their practices are unethical. At least for this move, they were unprofessional and refused to take responsibility for my loss. I could excuse the unprofessionalism and higher rate, if the service was exemplary, but it was far from it.
