Arong is a bit of a strange name for any kind of shop, never mind an Indian takeaway. Maybe if you put an 's' on the front it'd make more sense. But then it would just sound like some kind of ladies swimwear shop, a bit like the one Toadie and Connor used to run in 'Neighbours'. And it definitely wouldn't be suitable for an Indian takeaway.
Arong is yet another takeaway along Waterloo's South Road but unlike many others, it manages to stand out due to the quality of its food. As with most restaurants and takeaways that specialise in Indian cuisine, Arong offers all the usual types of spicy food made to a very high standard, all of which is available to be collected at a later time or delivered to your front door if you're feeling lazy. The prices are a bit steep with certain dishes, but it's definitely worth paying a bit more than you would for a kebab and chips considering the quality.
As well as the usual types of curries, Arong also offers "exotic" dishes for those of you who feel a bit more daring. Ones to watch out for are the 'Mongolian Dish' and 'Naga Balti', both of which are full of various interesting flavours whilst maintaining a spicy kick. read more
