Lovely, friendly Indian restaurant just off the Co-op car park in Shaftesbury. My parents live nearby and only go in once every couple of months, but are greeted like old friends. The place doesn't look anything special, and has a bit of a cheesy fish-tank room divider as you walk in, but the food is always excellent quality and the staff are always friendly and accommodating. The Jalfrezi and butter chicken in particular are very good, as is the tandoori. They also do a 'cheese naan', which is one of my favourites. They use cheddar rather than paneer, but it's still nice. So, not a high-class place, but lovely for a quick lunch or dinner treatand the takeaway service is pretty good too. read more
