TLDR. View Mobile Dental is, to me, the best, kindest, and most thorough Dentistry in the East Bay. They also have weekend hours which works fantastic if you have kiddos. My previous Dentist (who was also very good) retired out of nowhere during the pandemic and while we tried out the new ownership the experience was fiiiiine, but far less than ideal. My wisdom teeth were killing me and while I got an extraction based on their referral, something didn't sit quite right after the healing process. One of my molars was killing me still. I returned and explained the issue, and they told me it was not a big deal and the X-rays reported nothing. I wanted to get a second opinion and my friend recommended View Mobile Dental. Michelle and Dr. Paulos were able to see me immediately. View Mobile Dental Michelle is an absolute wonder. I was able to get my information transferred over and she even took the time to give me a high level overview of what was possible with my benefits. I AM GLAD SHE DID! She noticed that my previous dentist did not use ANY of my benefits (even though they said they did) and that's why I was left with a bill of THOUSANDS of dollars. Needless to say, after resolving this, I was much better off and can safely say, that Michelle saved Christmas. Arnold (Dr. Paulos) would be your Family Dentist's favorite family dentist. With his amazing attention to detail and information, not only was he able to assess that my tooth pain was abnormal, he also explained, in clear, plain language what may have happened and what my options were, in order of practicality. He's an excellent teacher and an even better Dentist. My extraction was quick and painless and I am guessing (I'm not a dentist), that because the extraction was performed with expertise, I was able heal up much faster than expected.....and I'm a slow healer. I can't stress enough that dealing with the Dentist can be daunting for many, but View Mobile Dental makes the entire process painless and informative while taking care every step of the way. I just switched to dr paulos because my insurance carrier changed and I wanted to stay in network. Dr paulos staff did a decent job cleaning my teeth along with a full set of xrays. They recommended 3 filling repairs which I agreed to have done. I showed up for my filling repairs and the first thing they said was they will be dropping out of my insurance network (cigna) and that the minor repair work would cost me nearly $300 (not what I expected). They said my insurance does not cover white fillings, which turned out to be false. Dr paulos said my insurance only covered silver filling repairs. So I put the repairs on hold. After nearly two months of back and fourth, dr paulos confirmed that my insurance does cover white filling repairs, so I agreed to make an appointment for the repair work. I showed up for the minor repair work and never had a worse experience. While working on me the staff argued with each other about being organized and how best to do the repair work. What should have been painless turned out to be torture. I was choked and then pulled/stretched from side to side (the whole time i was thinking that hopefully this wasnt being done to me on purpose because of the way I called them out on their costs). They apologized for the torture afterwords. I WILL NOT BE BACK to this dental office and will try to be more careful in selecting my next dentist. read more

Been going here off and on for the last ten years. Really appreciate the fact that it's a family run practice, where they look out for you and always make you feel welcome. Most of all, I trust them to be straight with me about what work needs to be done. Due to an insurance change I had to briefly visit another dentist who immediately recommended $1k of dental work. It didn't quite seem right, so I held off and luckily was able to come back here recently. Dr. Sun explained in detail why I didn't need any work now and what we would look for in the future. Further, the work recommended by the previous dentist wouldn't really have alleviated the long term issue. My kids and I had a fabulous cleaning experience! The doctors and staff are welcoming, friendly, nice and had soft hands. They use state-of-the-art technology where aside from x-rays, they take photos of your teeth and facial structure and these are reviewed by the doctor with you showing the health of the teeth, potential problem areas, etc. It also helps that their offices are neat, organized and appealing to the eyes. My family uses Dr. Paulos and Dr. Sun at this location. Arnold is an outstanding dentist in every respect. I would recommend him for with no hesitation and I am not an easy patient! My most recent experience was having one of my front teeth repaired. The bottom half of the tooth was discolored as it was chipped and repaired 30 years ago. With zero pain, the whole process of removal and installation of the new part of my tooth took about a hour. You would never know half my tooth is not real. read more

My son is 8 years old, and has Autism. I've taken him to other offices before, but since he's a very "busy" kid they get a little nervous. The staff here was so mellow and calm. I was very excited when they were able to take x-rays, which was a first for him. In the past he would never let the dentist scale his teeth, but he went right along with it after they showed him the "bugs" that were hiding in his teeth. Dr. Paulos and his staff are exceptional. Our family has been patients of Dr. Paulos and Dr. Sun of View Mobile Dental for 7 years now. They are very patient , very friendly and very flexible with our ever changing schedule. Recently, my 10 year old son's orthodontist (another practice) recommended several permanent teeth to be extracted due to teeth overcrowding. Dr. Paulos contacted the orthodontist himself to coordinate and understand the necessity for the procedure. He also made sure I understand why it was necessary. My son was not comfortable with extracting 2 teeth at a time and asked if he can only do one. During the tooth extraction procedure, Dr. Paulos was very gentle and comforting to my son. He was also accommodating and understood that my son was not ready. He then let us take our time to do the other tooth at a later time. I'm a new patient here and was so surprised at the difference a different dentist makes. The staff was super nice and they have Saturday appointments, what?! The lobby was nice and clean, no waiting forever after you appointment time. I like that Dr Paolos came out to introduce himself before I was event taken back for the techs to do xrays. WOW what great place!! this is my new dentist from now on. i was one of those people that hated to go to the dentist especially because of my bad experience i had with my previous dentist. i was referred by my boss who had been going to them for 20 years. the place itself is very clean and very professional. i was helped by Michelle and she is such a nice person( great customer service). it had been more than 4 years since my last visit and needed a good cleaning and a issue with one tooth. the lady who did my cleaning was great. she explained everything she was doing and always checked in with me to see how i was doing.the next day absolutely no pain, unfortunately i have to get a root canal on that tooth but fortunately for me i will have it done here. if any one has fears of going to the dentist you must go here they will take good care of you!! read more

Dr. Paulos is awesome! Not only as a dentist, but also as a person. He is great at what he does, makes you feel at home and is very very accomodating. The last time I was in his office was because of severe pain I started to experience in one of my molers. I called him up and even though he was booked the whole day, he told me to come in right away and he would squeeze me in. Not only did he squeeze me in, but him and his staff took the time to fully check me out and make sure I was taken care of. His staff is also top notch. Unlike some assistants, his are very gentle. I have been to dentists before that are the reason people fear the dentist in general! Well, not with Dr. Paulos's office. He's never judged me, doesn't lecture me like most dentist do and always finds a way to compliment me when I feel that I've done a bad job on taking care of my teeth. Most recently my Husband who is DEATHLY afraid of Dentist went and actually enjoyed his experience. He didn't whine to get X-rays, allowed Dr. Paulos to clean his teeth and then walked out with the feeling "that wasn't so bad" ;) I've NEVER had to pay for a cleaning or any X-rays. The only thing I've had to pay for was a Crown and Cavity (that's not bad if you ask me and I didn't have to pay the full thing, just what my insurance wouldn't cover) The staff reminds you when you have an appointment and as a busy Mom that's what I need. I have been going to View Mobile Dental for over 10 plus years and have received care from both Dr. Paulos and Dr. Sun. Lot of routine and general dental work, but today was different. I called the office with a complaint of excruciating tooth pain. I made the call at 9:00 AM and was scheduled to see Dr. Paulos at 1:30 pm. I arrived at the scheduled appointment time and was greeted as always with abundance of hospitality and seen right away. I was very nervous about this visit, but Dr. Paulos and Dr. Sun worked in tandem and provided me with the best care and professional dental treatment. They took their time explaining and were attentive to the level of pain and discomfort I was feeling. They assured me they would not proceed further until the pain was absent. Fast forward, the procedure was completed and the pain has been relieved. Thanks to View Mobile Dental. The first time I was in his office was because my former dentist retired, I had to find a new dentist to take care my dental care. Dr. Paulos explains the procedure very well, he shows great care in every visit. Last year, I experienced some severe pain in one of molers, Dr. Paulos gave me an appointment the next day morning. He found there was a small cracks on the 10 years old crown, he replaced it with a temporary crown. I was able to do some oversea travel with a temporary crown without any pain. Dr. Paulos, and this entire office staff cannot be beat! After getting a call from my son's school to pick him up immediately because he cracked 2 teeth, I was worried. I spoke with Dr. Paulos on the phone, and he immediately put me at ease. He offered to see me in the next 20 minutes. My son and I went to his office. The receptionist greeted us warmly, and again put us at ease. Dr. Paulos examined my son, and immediately told me everything looked fine. Considering, 1/2 my son's tooth was missing, I was skeptical. To make me feel better, he offered to do an x-ray, and take pictures of my son's teeth. The X-Ray confirmed what the Dr. had already told me. There were no real issues, he would be fine. The tooth was not cracked all the way down, the roots were fine, it was just the enamel that was cracked off. He told me that we shouldn't even worry about fixing it cosmetically, since it was his bottom tooth, and when he smiled you couldn't even see the problem! For a dentist to recommend that you don't have work done, is pretty much unheard of! He really seemed to care about my son, and making sure that I was feeling at ease with everything. After always being nickel and dimed to death from all dentists we've ever seen before, I was more than shocked to not have to pay for this consultation. I wasn't even pressured to set up future appointments! I'm looking forward to switching my family over to Dr. Paulos! They'll be seeing a lot of me in the future, since I've got my four kids that will be seeing him! Thank you!!! read more

Amazing. If you want an honest practitioner who cares more about your well-being than making money off you, look no further. I had braces a long time ago and recently noticed my teeth had started shifting back. A different orthodontist promptly informed me that I needed a bunch of different procedures done and new retainers made (retainers, plural, because I would need to replace them every two years or so). This would cost hundreds of dollars, if not more, which my insurance did not cover. Having no reason to think otherwise, I believed her, but thought I should get a second opinion just in case. Dr. Paulos examined my old retainer and told me it was in good condition, proceeding to advise me on how much to wear it and what to expect. He said I certainly could get new retainers, but it definitely wasn't necessary. Basically, instead of finding a way to bill me, like the other orthodonist, he gave me honest, thoughtful advice! I did what he recommended and it's worked out great so far - and it only set me back one free consultation. read more

He relieved all his fears and was able to show him before and after pictures of other individuals with similar (and worse!) accidents.
