The home had been added onto over the years but had been neglected well over 50 years. We had a wonderful architect, Brian Reading and hired a wonderful contractor, Glen Baker to do the renovations. One of reasons we hired Glen was because he was "hands on" and very talented craftsman. (No pun intended) The once dog of the neighborhood in the course of a year transformed into a showplace! Glen and his crew helped us with the the city's red tape which was significant when you're in a historical area. Glen also made suggestions to help us stay true to the house's heritage and modernizing where we could without losing the charm of a 100 year old craftsman house. When we raised the ceiling height in the dining room, the framing was a work of art, I really didn't want to drywall over it, it was that pretty. We worked closely with Glen over the course of the year and found him to be honest, talented, skilled craftsman with a quite an artistic flair. We decidely recommend Glen and Riverside Restorative!
