In my case I bought an item on 8 April and returned it immediately while still on the shop premices (I had converted the Euros wrongly). I apologised, I was happy to accept a credit note as back to back payment on my card was not an option for the upmarket shop. I was told that the only way that my money would be refunded was via a French cheque once the boss had authorised it. This should take an hour, they would definitely ring me back within the hour. The staff issued written confirmation of my credit and I reluctantly left the shop minus 150 Euros as I had to travel to Germany that day. 15 days later I still await my cheque. It has been sent in the post apparently. Oh not once but twice (12 and 19 April)... still waiting. The employees are embarrassed and I feel sorry for them. Their bosses (a couple) don't answer calls or address the issue. They are in hiding... I have been texted not to harass them. I just want my money back... Today the husband of the allusive couple called and when I expressed my anger at his narrative of lies (respectfully) he called me emotionally unsatisfied with my life and a Sad loser. Really? Being unhappy, whether I am or not, is not a crime. Stealing people's money absolutely is! I have now reported the fraud to my bank. They are assured me this would be dealt with as I have written evidence (via texts) of their abuse of trust and power.... Be warned...

When asked if you want peppers, get 'em! They're little bombs of delight. Pack cash, they've got a credit card minimum that's probably hard to hit if you're only buying one sandwich. Like to read? Khai Tri is also a bookstore. (At a glance it seemed that their merchandise was all in Vietnamese.) This is a tiny ass shop, so expect to take your books and/or sandwiches to go.

So I walked in and asked for a House Special spicy and got it really quickly. Upon first bite, I realized that that the baguette is not as crunchy as the other places: They don't use Baguette Traditional, which I'm totally cool with as those things cut my mouth. I also noticed that they add Chinese dry shredded pork (rou song), weird. The next bite I got to the meat slices and pate, which relieved me a little, and then I noticed the very small amount of carrots and cilantro. I'm not sure how I feel about that. I don't like it when they add too much of that stuff (like hoa nam), but i dont think i like it when they don't add enough. Not enough is better than too much though. Upon my fourth or fifth bite, I finally tasted the spice...but also their sauce..it seems like they in addition to mayo and maggi, they also add chinese sauces in the sandwich, which was also weird. So, all in all, it is definitely not the vietnamese sandwiches that I am used to eating. I can see why someone would like the novelty factors, but I just don't. I do like their bread but everything else is not to my taste. I can officially write this one off my list.
