BUYER BEWARE: A+W Shepherds accepted my deposit for a puppy, refused me a puppy, and then refused to refund my deposit.

My pug Russell will be a year on March 6th...He is doing very well and i love him so much...he is…read morevery sweet and cuddly when he wants to be.. But can also be very energetic and stubborn too when he wants attention lol. I find the best thing to do when he misbehaves is to yelp and act like I'm hurt and he stops right away...it worked well when he started scratching at our walls. He is a very clever little guy too and whines at the patio when he wants to use the bathroom. I don't need to crate him When i go to work because he just falls asleep and waits for me which is cute. He loves all other dogs and has made a lot of friends in the area...he seems to have an endless pit when it comes to food...but his favorite treat is peanut butter..He is my best friend and i couldn't imagine life without him, My fiance and i are even considering getting him a lady friend. He has captured all our hearts and i wouldn't trade him for anything..Best dog ever!

I purchased my pug from Anita Depatie (formerly Puppy Love Kennels, but now operating as "Cutie…read morePugs") in 2014. I love my dog, absolutely and wholeheartedly, however, Anita is not a legitimate breeder. She is operating a puppy mill. Her dogs are not kept on her property. I arrived from out of town to find that my puppy was the only one on-site and I was unable to see the parents. She does not do genetic testing (though she did at my request and expense). She is not an ethical breeder. She has obviously changed her kennel's name to evade the poor reviews and reputation. She was also suspended from the Canadian Kennel Club in 2018 (this information is easily found on Google) due to not following the Code of Practice. Avoid at all costs.

Do not buy any animals from this woman. She is a monster. She is a puppy/kitten broker, which…read moremeans that she poses as a real breeder by bringing the animals to her home to be sold, but they are sourced from puppy mills. She has a million excuses why the parent dogs are not available to be seen, and they all seem legitimate at the time. My family bought a Cavalier puppy from her in 2017. We just had to have him euthanized yesterday because his health problems were causing him so much pain. He wasn't even 5 years old. She is a master of the "bait and switch". The puppies were advertised as coming with a pedigree and be registered with the CKC. However, when we picked up the dog she said that it's always such a hassle to register them and most people didn't care about having them registered and she took $200 off the price of the dog. The purchase price was $2000. Lorelei "guaranteed" that his parents had been cleared for the condition that our dog had (syringomyelia). It's when the dog's skull is too small for his brain and the brain stem gets squished and causes multiple systemic problems and pain. It's genetic and anyone who actually cared about dogs would never breed a dog with the condition. It usually shows up within their first year, so it's not like it takes forever to develop. NO REPUTABLE BREEDER WOULD BREED A DOG WITH THIS CONDITION. It's a known problem for this breed and efforts have been made to eliminate it in the Cavalier gene pool. Well, our dog had systemic health problems and was pretty much in pain his entire life. We got a lot of veterinary care for him- medication, ultrasounds, an mri but nothing really helped that much. He was also having kidney and heart problems. Finally, the pressure of the cerebral fluid in his brain rose and he suddenly had trouble breathing. By the time we got him to the vet there wasn't really anything they could do. Don't buy your pet from Lorelei, whatever you choose- puppy or kitten. She is helping to perpetuate animal mills which causes an immense amount of animal suffering.

We had a really great experience with Lorelei Beal from Country Care Doodles. After researching and…read morecalling over half a dozen breeders for a Cavpoo breed, we were referred to Lorelei from another breeder. We contacted her about her litter and she immediately called us back. We spoke about what we were looking for, the breed as well as the parents of the puppies. She told us that we would not find a better mannered dog (was she ever right). We did purchase the puppy at the beginning of COVID-19 during the lock down period, so we were not able to visit the puppy. This led to some uneasy feelings as the down payment for this dog is a significant amount of money, and we obviously had not met Lorelei in person at this point. She did, however, send us photos of 'Benny' quite frequently. She also provided us with progress with him from time to time. This definitely made us feel better about the process. The pickup day went very well, our puppy was bathed, had his 1st vaccine and his revolution (anti-flee medicine) applied. We received a bag of food as well as a toy (which he still plays with). Benny is 6 months old now and adjusting well with our family. We are so in love with him! We would most definitely recommend Lorelei as a breeder! If you have any specific questions about our puppy experience, feel free to comment and I will do my best to respond. Thank you so much Lorelei!
