In my lifetime, I have bought or sold nine properties. Out of those transactions, one title…read morecompany takes the cake for incompetence - Letterman Title. Mistake after mistake after mistake, including serious ones that would have cost us real money if we hadn't caught them. Even worse, they filed a deed with Brazos County that has the owner names wrong(!), and there's no undoing it. Yes, there's an amendment - a short, separate document - now filed with the county, but the recorded deed has the names wrong permanently, and it's likely to cause us problems in the future. Letterman even issued a title policy with the names wrong! The number of mistakes we did catch makes me wonder how many we didn't. Who knows? Title companies aren't hard to find, and I suggest finding one that is a lot more concerned about getting every detail right.

Aggieland Properties is the WORST place I have lived in College Station. After moving in there were…read moremany issues, our deck/fence were rotten, two showers weren't working properly and our dishwasher had broken. These issues had been resolved after much hassle on my part. I had to make multiple requests were them to fully complete the deck/fence. There definitely have been more issues! The biggest issue has been a rodent infestation. I made a maintenance request on March 4th and they said they would schedule an exterminator. I got an email on March 26th saying the work was completed on March 19th except NO ONE EVER CAME! After reaching back out to Aggieland Properties we were informed that the exterminator only went to our neighbors house and wouldn't be coming out our house. You can review emails they sent me over this issue saying that this issue was "promptly and properly addressed". Do these pictures look the the issue has been addressed? The main issue I've encountered is that they do not respond to me. I have multiple emails, texts and phone calls where they don't reach back out to me. I would not suggest anyone to live in one of their properties. It's currently been over 5 weeks since this issue began, the issue has only expanded and I'm unsure what the total damage will be due to their neglect!

You will be be charged every cent of your deposit and then some upon move out. Take note of everything upon move-in with photos and written documentation. Even if you follow the move-out instructions to the T you will be charged for things you took care of no matter what. Take photos and document everything, schedule a representative to meet you upon your move-out if you can. As an Aggie, we value Respect, Excellence, Leadership, Loyalty, Integrity, Honesty, and Selfless Service. Given the company's name--Aggieland Properties--one would expect those same values to guide their business practices and they don't. I initially was very pleased with Aggieland Properties communications and way they handle maintenance and accounting issues. Phone calls were always pleasant when calling the office. Don't let your guard down when moving out they will get you then. Now if you're a slob and leave the unit/house a mess then it's deserved. We left the unit cleaner than it was when we moved in. Don't let them steal your deposit - FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT don't give up if you know you're in the right and have all the proof.
