In…read moreearly January 2019, I requested an Elder Protective Services investigation into this social services program geared for the elderly. My former tenant, a frail 94-year-old man who had undergone surgery for a hip fracture months before, was left without caregiver supervision, without hot food, and without a public guardian payee to manage his bills and banking -- this for about 10 days. He had been accepted into the Home and Community Based Program months before and had an assigned licensed social worker. As his landlady, I notified his social worker and her supervisor that he was unsupervised (against his doctor's orders), initiated Meals on Wheels for him, submitted a referral to get him a public guardian payee, called 311 and requested a police welfare check, and requested an EPS investigation. My former tenant fell and is now permanently in a nursing home. The Aging Dept social workers are still employed and never bothered to help. The EPS rep said the published report is confidential so there is no transparency regarding corrective action. Beware! This agency and program often do NOT protect or advocate for the elderly. UPDATE: Almost 5 months after filing formal complaints against the Aging Dept with the Nevada Attorney General's Office, Mayor Goodman's office, and the fraud units of Medicare and Medicaid, none of those offices resolved the problem -- paper tigers all!

You don't need a number here. You stand in line. The clerk was very nice. She was assisting other people ahead of us but let us know that she'd be helping us next. The clerk also smiled. She was very good. She provided great customer service. When it was our turn, she continued being very nice and helpful, which we appreciated. It is refreshing when someone in customer service is truly good at their position. I too, deal with customers at my job. And people, they can be a lot. So, I do not understand the bad reviews here. She asked us to sign a form, a tax cap form; it was a form that I thought was for our information only (I think it was a postcard), not one that had to be signed and returned for their records. I was grateful. She gave us the info that we needed, and printed it out for us. THANK YOU for being helpful and for assisting us, last wednesday.

I am a property manager and have not worked with them for many years as every time I had a bad experience. But this time the tenant was referred by HUD VASH and I thought would be different. They do once a year inspection and if there is something wrong which is the tenant's fault, SNRHA asks the landlord to fix it and charge the tenant otherwise they suspend the rent. How can you collect rent from a tenant who does not have money? I had a case recently; the tenants did not pay the portion of the rent. They were fighting all the time, police were called about 9 times only this year and I have the reports of them. Neighbors were complaining. HOA gave me two Courtesy Notices; the third one would be a fine. One of the neighbors found the case worker's contact info and called and complained but the case worker was not even nice to the neighbor. I evicted the tenants, for non-rent payment, damage to the property and not paying for the repairs and nuisance which all cost money. I just paid over $4000 just for materials for a one-bedroom condo. None of the appliances worked. The dishwasher Spray Arm is sitting on the counter top. Washer does not have any inside part, microwave, range/oven, disposal, nothing worked, , toilet (yes toilet, they were using a bucket) took us 4 gallons of bleach and 9 cans of air fresher to get rid of the odor. Hole in the walls and doors. They were locked out by the constable. When they made appointment to take their belongings, they even took all the light bulbs (wow). Anyway, after they left, I contacted SNRHA by phone and left messages a few times, no response. I emailed their case worker and she has been ignoring me, no response. I know, they don't pay or even care for what their tenants do to the properties. I only wanted to report it for SNRHA not to support these people so they don't do the same to another landlord. But still no response.
