History

Optometrist, Jordan Ballantyne, grew up in Littleton, CO. He received a bachelor's degree in Bioinformatics, with a minor in Spanish, from Brigham Young University, Provo in 2006. He then received his Doctorate of Optometry from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN in 2010. He married Michelle Mooney in 2004, and they now have four wonderful and energetic children. The Ballantynes have decided to call La Junta their home. Michelle loves her husbands commitment to his patients and Dr. Ballantyne enjoys helping everyone see better.

Meet the Manager: Jordan B.

Dr. Ballantyne grew up in Littleton, CO. He received a bachelor's degree in Bioinformatics, with a minor in Spanish, from Brigham Young University, Provo in 2006. He then received his Doctorate of Optometry from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN in 2010. He has also served a two-year mission in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico from 2000-2002, during which time he learned the Spanish language and grew to love Mexican food and culture. Dr. Ballantyne also went on a week long eye care mission trip to the Dominican Republic in 2009. Dr. Ballantyne enjoys helping anyone see better. His favorite part of patient care is listening to a patient's visual problem and carefully crafting a solution through prescribing glasses, contact lenses, and/or vision training. He is well versed in ocular disease, surgical co-management, dry eye therapy, and pediatric eye care.
