I own the home but had to relocate out of state for work, so coordinating repairs hasn't been easy. That first company told me the entire unit needed to be replaced and quoted me $4,500. I felt sick. Thankfully, I always get a second opinion -- and I'm so glad I did. Midwest sent Angel out the next day. I didn't mention the prior diagnosis, just asked him to take a look. He quickly identified the issue as a single part that needed replacing. The office stayed in touch with me the whole time, and Angel was able to return later that same day to complete the repair. The total? Around $300. Thanks to my smart thermostat, I could see the house cooling down in real time. I honestly thought I was going to have to shut down my Airbnb business -- I couldn't afford a full AC replacement. Midwest Mechanical absolutely saved the day. We had a sewer blockage over the 2026 Easter weekend. The guys came out to get us up and running…read more Sadly, we had an old clay sewer line and a huge maple tree. The 2 don't mix. The roots had invaded the sewer line, cracked many of the pieces and collapsed others. The guys rearranged the schedule a bit to get an excavator out, dug a new newer line trench to at least give us service over the long holiday weekend. They then came back out the following Monday to finish the job and connect to the city main sewer line. They even flexed the sewer line a bit so the tree didn't have to be removed. Sadly though, they forgot about us (and our neighbor behind) and left a 40 to 50 foot mound, over a foot high in the back yard. It took several phone calls and a bad review from my neighbor to get them back out, but they did finally come quickly. Now that the mound has had time to settle, we wait for them to do a final level, plant some seed, and cut the clean out pipe to ground level. I've appreciated Jeremy and the crew of guys helping us out in a bind that Easter weekend. I would be happy to use them again, but they could use a better system for follow up and job completion. That's why it's only 4 stars. Not sure how my neighbor would rate them.
