I wish I had attended a wedding she officiated before hiring her for mine. My venue had her listed…read moreas a preferred option and said she was good. I spoke to a friend, and he said she married him and he was happy enough with her services, so we went with her. My fiancé and I met with her, and she asked maybe 6 questions about us, and said she would write our ceremony and send us a copy to review. When we got the copy, I thought it was a joke. When I realized this wasn't sent in error, I felt physically ill. It wasn't personalized to reflect us or our relationship at all, the flow was horrible, and I believe it was a cut and paste job from a few internet sources. We opted to write our own ceremony, which was heartfelt and definitely represented us and our personalities. I was hesitant to send it and ask that it be used instead of what was written for us, but Montana agreed to read it for us. Fast forward to our wedding day. Montana showed up and appeared to be irritated. She asked where the marriage license was and asked if the money was in the envelope. She asks for a $100 deposit, but wants the rest paid in cash on the wedding day. I can only assume this is to avoid taxes on the other $200+ we paid. I can't come up with any other logical reason cash payment would be mandatory. During the ceremony, Montana told me I was standing in the wrong spot, even though venue staff told me which side of the altar to stand on. During the ceremony, I couldn't listen to what was being said. It wasn't because I was worried I was going to get emotional. It was because she was reading it like she was reading a children's story. Crazy inflection every few words. I had several guests comment about it after the wedding, and it wasn't to say that it was well done. When the ceremony was over, she quickly left. When we got our wedding photos, I discovered that in every single photo, she had RBF. She looked like someone made her drink a cup of lemon juice. I don't know if the attitude is typical, she was having a bad day, was unhappy with the little bit of humor in our ceremony, or was not happy to do a same sex wedding (which she previously said she was fine with). Whatever the issue, I regret going with Montana, as it caused some unnecessary tension on our wedding day. I should have gone with my gut from the beginning. Lesson learned.

I'm surprised Montana doesn't have any Yelp reviews yet... because SHE IS WONDERFUL. My husband and I eloped in Phoenix in January 2014, and we hired Montana to officiate our "ceremony." (She called it a sign-and-file, because it was a very short ceremony!) She was courteous, professional, and friendly. Our sign-and-file consisted of a sweet intro from Montana, a reading, ring exchange, "I do's," and of course the kiss. We are not religious at all, so it was very nice to have an officiant who respected our preferences and ideas. Montana was 100% willing to customize her officiant duties to suit our needs. I think that is very important for anyone looking for a personalized, distinctive ceremony. I should have written up a Yelp review ages ago, but I was reminded to do so again after-- get this!-- we received an anniversary card from Montana! It was a personal note, thoughtful and handwritten... an excellent move on her part, and so special for us to be reminded of how much fun our day was, thanks in part to Montana Meadows and Bird of Paradise Weddings! I would definitely recommend this business to anyone looking to get hitched in AZ!

From the start, he brought such a warm, genuine presence, along with an energy and excitement that made the moment feel so special and alive. Anthony took the time to truly understand us and our faith, and it was reflected in every word he spoke. The ceremony felt deeply personal, Christ-centered, and perfectly aligned with who we are as a couple--it never felt scripted or generic. Our guests are still talking about how heartfelt and meaningful it was. He created an atmosphere that was both sacred and joyful, and guided everything so seamlessly. We wholeheartedly recommend Anthony Montana to any couple looking for an officiant who will honor your relationship and your faith in such a powerful and authentic way.

Our wedding venue recommended this company, and we chose Pastor Ray Jones to officiate our wedding. Not only was Ray professional and well equipped to officiate our wedding, he became FAMILY. He connected with us a few times prior to the wedding and really built rapport with us before our big day. Ray really made our wedding day special, and we are so happy with the outcome of our ceremony. Tony followed up a few days after to confirm our marriage license was submitted successfully. Overall, this was a great experience and I would recommend Better Together Matrimonies to any couple who is tying the knot in Arizona!

Jason is patient in guiding those who are nervous, and Sarah went above and beyond with her communication in regards to my queries before the event. For our small ceremony, it was the perfect fit. The only reason that I haven't selected five stars is probably not relevant to most readers: I prize clear communication, and the one place that lacked communication was photography. Don't get me wrong: the photographer's pictures appear to be excellent, and she has a prepared checklist of shots for couples to fill out so that they can make the most of the time they purchased. For most people, this will work out quite well. However, I had a unique situation: Holocaust survivors were attending our ceremony, and I wanted to have a 10-minute conversation to make sure their needs would be met. Two unreturned phone calls later, and email, and, finally, a query to Sarah, I received a short response from the photographer stating that she was too busy for phone calls. Although I certainly understand being busy while running multiple businesses, I would have appreciated knowing why I wasn't getting responses earlier so that I could make alternative arrangements to make sure the guests were taken care of. If your situation is more typical than mine, then I suggest that the package arrangement will work well. And regardless of photography, definitely give the Mission Wedding Chapel a try. Sarah and Jason are the real deal - and they'll give your bank account a deal so you can save for the things that truly matter: the marriage that follows the wedding.

Her combination of wit and sincerity won us over, and she provided us with many ideas to help us shape our ceremony in a way that felt authentic for us. It was important to us include our parents in our ceremony and we wanted to keep our "repeat-after-me" vows simple. Pam was able to bring all our ideas together into a ceremony that was sweet and silly (just like us) and we couldn't be happier with how it went.
