Always a wonderful visit with Dr. Mona no matter who in the family is being seen. Always helpful and loving. We would recommend Dr Mona to everyone. I see previous reviews of people complaining... I feel maybe they just couldn't handle honesty and not being coddled and doted upon. There is no sugar coating, but there is a ton of knowledge and care. I saw another bad review complaining about not getting answers, um...all I can say is schedule an appointment. If there are problems then don't sit around and wait for an answer from a busy physicians office. Take initiative and take care of yourself and your loved ones. I am not satisfied with dr. Morstein's service at all. For an hour and a half she read my form and then she reviewed the supplements that I was already on and said that they are the right ones to take. So I paid $475 for her reading my form and not getting any new information at all read more

I'm writing this out of sheer frustration after waiting for unanswered questions/unfulfilled prescriptions for weeks now. I will preface that despite her rough, overtly loud New Jersey mannerisms, Dr. Morstein is very bright and has a gentle kindness to her. Unfortunately, however, more than this is needed to run a successful medical practice. The doctor, herself is very disheveled which is reflective in her unorganized office. She seems to always be in a frenzy and has even drawn my blood without gloves and a mask (I don't like watching my blood drawn something made me look over this time). Her colleague also attempted to give me an IV without gloves and was having so many problems finding my vein that I finally looked over only to realized she was no longer wearing gloves. In fact she had thrown the blood-soiled gloves onto the floor in frustration. My husband was also initially seeing Dr. Morstein as a patient and, despite also thinking she's a lovely woman, will no longer return due to the office's incompetence. He was been treated for a severe autoimmune condition and was not given the full course of treatment/instruction and subsequently relapsed. He commended my patience for continuing to see her but we were in the height of Covid and had lost our jobs, so we couldn't afford to stop care mid-stream and pay another doctor hundreds and hundreds of dollars for a new patient consult. I therefore attempted to stick it out just for virtual consults and not in-office appointments/blood draws etc. However, since being a patient for perhaps two years or so, I have seen this office go through an unusual amount of office staff--probably somewhere in the range of 6-8 receptionists! Each time, information gets passed off to the next employee, miscommunicated, and even lost. Prescriptions are left unfulfilled and insurance issues are thrown to the wayside by the exiting employee only to be promised to be taken care of by the new employee. However, nothing ever gets done in a timely manner as promised. In fact, I've now been working on an insurance billing issue with them since June. I've also never heard back about my prescriptions. Such a shame as this doctor has a lot of potential if she could implement some better business practices. read more

Dr Morstein is an amazing doctor and has been phenomenally helpful. I am also a medical provider and came to her when I'd exhausted all the normal Western treatments as well as most of the natural and holistic versions. I have learned a ton from her and she has helped me immensely with complex GI and hormone issues. I really appreciate her caring and straightforward personality. Her staff has been super helpful and they have always answered my questions in a timely manner. I am really happy that I have the opportunity to be under her care, and I have started sending some of my complex patients her way as well. read more

My experience, unfortunately, mirrors one of the most reviews below (9/21/2021). I don't know if that means this is bad time and Dr. Morstein is going through something or not, as there are more positive reviews that predate this time period. Dr. Morstein seems knowledgeable enough, but is too loud (as some of the reviews mentioned) and does not let you finish your sentences. She stresses that her office is a 'typical physician's office', but it's really not -- it's a private practice model, and she's a naturopath, who is supposed to take the time and listen to her patients. I couldn't speak without her going on about relevant and irrelevant things and since she was steamrolling, it was hard to interject. The office is absolute mess, which does seem to mirror Dr. Morstein's frenzy, as some reviewers mentioned. They did recently get new admin staff (frequent admin staff turnover is another red flag), but it won't undo what took place with previous staff (e.g., Danalle).Danalle was rude and short, and seemed bothered to get a phone call/email -- maybe because she was overwhelemed? I would attempt to stick it out through my treatment with Dr. Morstein if there were better business practices and if Dr. Morstein weren't so loud and could handle some pushback. Instead, Dr. Morstein seems to take on a position of an all-knowing guru and lashes out when she's questioned. She reminds me of people with borderline personality disorder -- which, again, would be fine to deal with if they were brilliant and had better business practices. read more

Dr. Mona Morstein saved my life, literally. When I came to her I was on my death bed with no hope in sight. She treated me for almost a year and brought me back to life. I was referred to Dr Morstein by a friend's wife and I was very disappointed. I went in for Bio-Identical Hormones and walked out with a bunch of their vitamins. That would have been fine but nothing that was suggested to me made an ounce of difference. Had to pay cash because they don't accept any insurance. A complete waste of money. read more

Dr. Morstein knows her stuff. She is an excellent doctor who will find the root cause of disease and tailor a unique treatment plan depending on the individual. She is well versed in many areas of medicine, however you can say that she has "written the book" with regard to SIBO. Nutrition, gastroenterology, and endocrinology are also passions of hers, and this shines through when she is taking time to teach patients about the food they are eating and supplements that they are taking. Rest assured, in the rare case that she is out of her comfort zone, she is not afraid to reach out to specialist, and is also not adverse to medically necessary pharmaceuticals. Wow. I'm so grateful I find Dr. Morstein. I suffered for 20+years going to different Doctors getting pills to mask my real health issues. After one meeting with Dr. Morstein she did a very through review of my health issues & really listened to my concerns she ordered a few simple tests and uncovered that I had SIBO & a candida infection. I also have a thyroid condition and have never been stable. She showed great care & compassion. Dr. Mona is hands down the best doctor I've had and I've been really lucky to have good doctors. Which is why I also know what a bad dr is abs unfortunately phoenix has a LOT of bad doctors who are quick to prescribe and diagnose without diagnostic evidence to provide those prescriptions. She is very very thorough, she is understanding and seems to be able to always figure out what's wrong with my body from infections, different autoimmune issues popping up, sibo etc. you have to be a bit on top of your follow ups because sometimes you get lost between the front desk flow but as adults we should be able to track our own appointments anyways. It is expensive but it's worth every penny when you feel healthy you just live a fuller life. I highly recommend especially if you've seen doctors and whatever you have seems to be a mystery they can't find out. go to Dr.Mona. she even corrected a diagnosis I had from doctors at Mayo and Mayo is meant to be best in the country. I struggled for years with unexplained food intolerances - I couldn't eat gluten, dairy, soy - and over time, the numbers of foods I could eat without experiencing digestive issues grew and grew. I went to three separate traditional GI docs, none of whom could identify what was wrong with me. Indeed, they were only interested in treating my symptoms, and really dismissed digging into exactly WHAT the underlying problem was. On the advice of a friend whose daughter got good diet guidance from Dr. Morstein for Type 1 diabetes, I finally made an appointment with Dr. Morstein. It was, quite simply, life changing. She took my complete history, ordered a few simple tests, and lo and behold, she actually uncovered my underlying issue. After a few rounds of meds and a few months of diet care, I am back to essentially a normal diet with none of the digestive issues that once plagued me. I have found it easy to stay in touch with Dr. Morstein and the office even though I live in Maryland. Via email and Skype appointments, I get follow up questions answered efficiently. I really hate to write this review and I'm shocked that I have too. My Daughter is suffering from a very serious disease called Crohn's disease. We have a GI doctor and wanted to bring a Natural Path as well. We met Dr. Mona at the Crohn's walk a year ago and decided to use her. She was very good with my daughter and we were feeling optimistic that she could help. We spent a lot of money which was fine and did the supplements she prescribed. My daughter was feeling better but a few months back things started getting worse. We emailed Dr. Mona multiple times and nothing. I sent a note to the office and the office staff person did call me back and said her email changed. Ok, I understand and wish we knew in advance. I told the staff person I would email the office some of the changes and wanted to see if Dr. Mona would want us to come in. That was over a month ago and no response at all. If for some reason she doesn't like us that's one thing but my daughter is the important one. My wife and I are so upset by her lack of concern or caring. We now have to find a new NP and that is extremely frustrating. Patients should be number one and it sure doesn't seem that way. read more
