Çok güzel simitleri yapıyorlar!…read more We knew this place would be good when we sat at a restaurant across one evening and smelled the fresh simits baking. Then a newly-married couple showed up to pick up some simits while still in their wedding clothes, and we knew this had to be amazing. We came back for breakfast the next day, and I will say this is the best simit I've ever had. Perfectly textured, perfectly and appropriately charred. The açma was also excellent.

The simit is good hot and fresh, but obviously isn't going to totally blow your mind. And I'm being a little unfair, coming from the land of bagels. Not the kind of place you ache to revisit, but should definitely go once.

Traditional Turkish desserts and meals made on the premises. Not the best ambience, but these folks are old school. They don't need flashing lights and other doodads to get customers. They've got loyal clientele. I found this on a tour with the fantastic guide by the name if Katerina who works at the company - Culinary Backstreets Tour of Istanbul.

When ordering the chicken breast dessert, ask for the one with a brown layer on top. It is much better than the other one without it! We haven't tried other food here but it seems like a lot of locals eat there so I guess it must be good!

January 1/2024: Quick side shared lunch with my Al…read more This was so low/mediocre food. We shared the "with meat Doner/rice meal 400g". The fries & rice were both cold. The meat was warmish but so salty, I could barely eat it (no pictures) It came to $400.00tl or about 12.00€ or $18.00 Cdn. Rather expensive for a fast serve restaurant. The only good thing I can really say is the service, it was very fast. On a side note, we were hustled for a free meal by some little preteen boy. Once the word got out, we were hustled again by a young lady to which we declined. I wouldn't go here to eat again.

We also order a kunafe small stray and it came with the most delicious goat ice cream, they are to died for! Service was quick and friendly. Would deff reccomend everyone to come here to give it a try!
