Then we kept hearing good things about them, and I'd like to add my satisfaction to the list. Our house is almost 130 years old, a tall, small Victorian, so it wasn't the easiest house to paint. Their price was very reasonable, and we had no complaints or problems at all. In fact, Tony came back and fixed a window problem after that window had been replaced by a different contractor. It's a really big deal, getting your house painted: stressful, an interruption to your daily life, the yard can get trampled - but these guys are pros and made it so easy for us, and left our place in tip-top shape. I whole-heartedly hope you consider Gene Darco Painting to paint your house.

We decided that the best way to insure quality job was to contract with a professional. After receiving quotations from several companies we decided to go with Bernal Painting LLC. Jeff fully explained their process and suggested some things that would improve longevity that other companies did not. The crew arrived as promised and were courteous and professional. The deck was cleaned and power washed. This was followed by sanding and scrapping where required. 2 coats of stain was applied by brush to ensure all and cracks and crevices were covered. Clean up was thorough. We are very pleased with the results and highly recommend Bernal Painting for deck staining projects!

We also needed all the large top fascia boards on the roofline of our home prepped and re-painted. Given the shortage of painters and paint during the pandemic, we are so happy we worked with Portland Home Painting. Their responsiveness to a bid request was amazing. Within an hour we had a bid and because we were flexible, the work was completed within one week. We called 5 other companies for a bid, Victor was able to provide a bid that was 1/2 that of the larger, more expensive painting companies in Portland. The quality and workmanship is excellent. The prep work was done well and our property was left clean and back as it was before the job started. Our garden, decking and other areas were left unscathed by paint drips, scraped off old paint, sanding etc... We will definitely work with Victor, Ryan and their team again.

I reached out to them through their Facebook ad and IMMEDIATELY received a response. The owners, Eric & Kylee arrived on time the following morning for the bid, and within a day they were starting the process of prepping the room for paint (wiping down walls/door/baseboard/crown molding), caulking all the trim/door jambs and removing fixtures and light switch/outlet covers, moving things to the center of the room and covering with plastic. (As a side note I would add that Eric and Kylee work SO well together, feeding off of each other's talents and knowledge). They are meticulous and thorough in their work and take great pride in their craft, answering questions as they work, using the best quality paint and taking the utmost care of your home in the process. There was no cutting corners here, it was quality work, product and professionalism here through the entire project. They gave 100%+ all the way! I'm thrilled with the new, clean, updated look of my living room. In summary, Southern Painting Co did an exemplary job, was professional and was a pleasure to work with. Their work ethic, talent, knowledge of their business, along with pride and love of what they do shows and I will DEFINITELY be using them again. (Leaving some before and afters of the living room as well as photos of Eric and Kylee working their magic). Thank you Southern Painting Co for all your hard work and a fresh, beautiful new living room!

Kerry (their project manager) was quick to respond, came onsite to walk through all of my questions, and pointed out several considerations I hadn't notcied/thought about. Although not the cheapest (or most expensive) we decided to trust Kerry and Bulldog to take care of our home. They did not disappoint. The timeline and communication was clear and consistent. The completed job looks amazing and I've gotten many compliments from my neighbors. My wife and I can be a bit particular when it comes to the details and Kerry demonstarted great patience working with us. Kerry stated upfront that he would ensure our needs were met and we would be very satisfied with the results. He even returned twice after the job was completed to check in and complete some minor alterations. Note that these alterations were due to us changing our minds after the work was completed. I would happily use Bulldog in the future and definitely reccomend them for your painting needs!

I've never had to leave a bad review for someone, but I encourage people to try anywhere else…read more Another contractor hired Peter to patch a hole in my ceiling. Peter came by once to look at the job, then once with the first worker. Then, I never saw Peter again. The first worker hung the drywall, and when I asked him if he'd put the insulation in first he said he wasn't paid to do that and maybe Peter would add it from the top. When I reminded him it's all boarded over in the attic and you can't add it from the top, he just said it wasn't his problem and I should ask Peter. Since he didn't put down any plastic, he left a huge mess and a pile of drywall scraps in my living room. Over the next 3 weeks, he'd send 4 random workers over. Peter would text me the night before sending someone, and usually he didn't know where the job was at so would want to send someone over for things they weren't ready for yet. Every worker that showed up didn't know what the job was, and I had to explain it all to them. They all told me that Peter didn't tell them the work was above a stairwell. They'd call Peter, and he'd convince them just to do it. They they'd precariously balance on the railing over the open stairwell to get the work done, doing a lot of damage to the railing in the process. At the end, they textured and painted it, but painted it an off-white that was way off from the rest of the ceiling. When I asked Peter about this he said the hardware stores do the paint matching, so it's not his fault. Then he never responded to anything else. We had to hire a new painter to finish the job, who was able to match the color without problem. However, he told me that every part of Choice Interiors work was done improperly, so it's never going to look great. The drywall was hung too low, and the texturing was done so poorly that it'll always be real clear it's been patched. I'm sure he quoted a low price, but everything involving him is shady and the work was done incompetently. Avoid working with Peter.

I hired In and Out Home Improvements to replace my flooring through out my house. 1600 sq ft. I…read moreput in good quality vinyl. Unfortunately, I don't feel they did a very good job. They did an ok job. The job was not cheap. What I have found through out the house is lots of gaps. Gaps at the walls that the trim didn't cover. Gaps in corners. Gaps around my fireplace. I pointed out the first gap I saw and they said it would be covered by the trim - but the picture I sent had the trim installed - and still you could see a gap between floor and trim. They also cut in some pieces that didn't snap together in areas where they didn't fit it right. It is noticeable. The trim is uneven in areas. They did not replace the trim. They simply put back the existing trim. Which was agreed to. But it was not secured very good. Especially the 1/4 round around the cupboards. They used caulking in areas to cover the gaps where they did not fit the flooring properly. The transition pieces between the bathrooms and laundry rooms (the only places I didn't have the flooring removed) is horrible. It's not tacked down very well. There are gaps between the floor trim - so did not fit it properly in the space between the doors. There is even a spot between laundry room and living room where the gap is too big and the transisiotn does not cover it all. Another thing I didn't like was there timing. They didn't start until 10 or 11 even most days, if not all. I don't know if they had a job to do in the morning each day. It just seemed weird that they started so late. They worked until 4pm or 6pm. Which also was inconvenient. I didn't want to get home and have them there. So, I waited an hour or two to go home. They we're going to try and come in and fix the gaps, if that was possible - not like you can replace a single piece of flooring once done like that, but the first day they simply didn't show up. Then I kept getting told they would be there about the time I got home from work so we could walk through it, and they wouldn't make it. That went on for a couple days. Then the weekend. I tried to be accommodating, but it is the weekend. . . My time off work. I finally said forget it. I would get it fixed another way. The time to complete project was about 4 days. It took about 7 days. I could give a day maybe for the damages found. There we're spots that needed Killz. Not big spots. Then there was some mold behind one of the baseboards so they cut out the drywall and replaced the baseboards. Not big repairs. I paid an extra $450 for those repairs. . . For a job like that and the cost, I truly expected more of a professional job and it was like I had a friend install it instead. For all those reasons, I cannot recommend this company - at least for flooring.
