First, I'll start with the consultation and the walk through. We met Mary in January. There was…read moresnow on the ground, so the first thing we did was look at the chapel inside. We were thinking of an October wedding, however the chapel was intricately decorated in white and beautiful lighting. The theme was Victorian and it was definitely well showcased in the chapel. The bridal suite felt warm and inviting so was the groom's chamber. Mary then showed us the outside which was equally as beautiful. The ceremony would take place overlooking the water. Where we stood, there was a beautiful flower arch with an array of florals , perfectly arranged for the ceremony. She explained the packages and the add-in options. The deposit was fair, and she had great payment options. We opted for the photography package. Mojo Photography was amazing, she photographed us well, all while keeping our family and the wedding party entertained. Fast forward to our Fall Wedding. As a bride of course I was worried about flower, colors, and the weather. We were graced with beautiful weather. The fall flowers were in bloom, and the wedding turned out perfect . The staff were excellent! They were patient with my family and our little flower girl. The team took note of our wedding songs and the sound system was clear and the volume was perfect! I don't want to leave out the minister. He was professional and he honored our "jumping the broom" ceremony. My husband and I were blown away with everything. This was our forever "special day", and we could not have picked a better venue. I'm definitely referring friends and family.

We had a beautiful wedding and will always cherish the memories we made, but unfortunately, our…read moreexperience with the venue was not what we expected. Several details that we had arranged ahead of time were missed, including one of our requested songs and a ver special wedding reading. One of the most disappointing was our processional song. This was not a last-minute request or something that was misunderstood. we discussed the song extensively with the venue both by phone and through text, including arrangements for how it would be played. It was the specific song I chose to walk down the aisle to, so having it missed was genuinely heartbreaking and especially disappointing on such an important day. More concerning, we learned afterward that several of our guests felt uncomfortable and unwelcome when attempting to use the restroom after the ceremony. They described the experience as hectic and disorganized, which was difficult for us to hear. We had fewer guests than the venue's stated capacity, so it is particularly concerning to imagine how much more difficult this could have been had our full guest list attended. My husband also personally overheard someone involved in our ceremony expressing frustration about continuing to do this work, which was extremely disappointing and uncomfortable to hear on our wedding day. After hearing about our guests' experiences afterward and reflecting on the details that were missed, we feel it is important to be honest about our overall experience with the venue. We expected the day to be handled with the same care and attention that we put into it, especially with the price point and unfortunately, that was not our experience. We understood that we were primarily paying for the venue and the ceremony, but given the cost, we expected a higher level of attention to detail, organization, and overall service.

That price included a ticket for my daughter and me, plus "dinner", tea, and dessert. "Dinner" for me was half a turkey sandwich with about 6 grapes. My daughter had about 8 grapes and 4 chicken nuggets. There was a desert tray on the table with cheese and crackers, a tiny rice krispie treat, a few marshmallows and gummy bears. Desert was a tiny teaspoon of vanilla ice cream with strawberry syrup. Because it's a tea party, the girls got pink lemonade in a tea cup and moms got hot tea. Elsa and Anna did a great job! They could sing very well, and were super nice to the kids. They did the best to keep them engaged and participating. The tea party was marketed to be for 2 hours, from 5pm to 7pm. I was quite surprised to to hear the announcement at 6:24 (i checked) that the party was over. Not even an hour and a half of the promised time?? That's quite a disappointment. The short tea party time, with the "dinner " that should have been advertised as hors d'oeuvres was very disappointing. If I'd paid about half the price I wouldn't complain, but over $65 for what I got was way way too much. I'd not recommend this to anyone unless the price is slashed.

The party started with all the girls getting their hair done with a tiara and fairy dust . The girls were then sent to the large closet to pick out their gown they wanted to wear to the ballroom. My husband overheard that they have over 400 dresses! The girls were then announces into the "ballroom" and seated at the beautifully set table. The girls did some fun dances, twirled around, had a mini etiquette lesson, drank their lemonade " tea " and refreshments, and then had a fashion show with their dresses! The party ended with opening of the presents and some more dancing. Before the party ended, my daughter ran up to me and said she wanted a birthday party there. This is the perfect party for a girl who wants an intimate setting with just her friends. I wish there was one closer to my house. I will keep checking their website, they said they have an Easter bunny brunch and some summer camps. It is the perfect place for a mommy-daughter outing. I loved seeing how happy my daughter was!

*WEDDING VENUE REVIEW*…read more We hosted our wedding ceremony and reception here, as well as our bridal party photos, and we couldn't have been any happier with the results! We stumbled on this place via a Facebook advertisement. We had been trying to find another venue to move to because our current one was not cooperating because of pandemic uncertainty. After talking with Haley in person about our day and what we were looking for our of this place, we absolutely could not pass it up. The only day they had available for the Fall was the day we were going to get married on, September the 11th. Working with Haley throughout our journey to the big day was very easy and we experienced no issues the entire time with any of the planning, coordination with vendors, or anything that kept changing on our end that we needed to communicate with. We were offered a food tasting with our families, then got to have our rehearsal dinner here as well. Even on our big day, we had the ceremony and reception in the same place. On our big day, I was working on a lot of the last minute set up or overviews of the venue while my wife was getting ready. Everything was absolutely perfect, and the staff here kept me as calm as I could have been. The ceremony looked beautiful as well as the reception. All of the coordination was done correctly and efficiently. Our guests who attended the wedding regularly talk about how beautiful it was as well as how great the food was! We could not have asked for a better experience and a better day for our wedding. Very impressed with how efficient and prepared this venue was to host an event.

Once outside of the cancellation window they were more responsive, however rude and unwilling to flex on their policy even after citing reasons why I was uncomfortable moving forward with their hair services, and willingness to work with them before deciding to cancel (the result was not what I wanted and I communicated this within 24 hours to them). I was dissatisfied with the hair trial for my wedding, which was voiced during the trial and dismissed, and now I am stuck with a non-refundable deposit because of their poor communication practices. I politely requested the difference of the deposit and trial services refunded to me, and was met with extreme defensiveness. I felt extremely undervalued as a customer, and their apology simply did not feel genuine or with any desire to make it right. Be careful when referencing their "not normal business hours" approach, because they will use this to say that just about any time that you contact them does not fall within that time frame. This is the main concern, I had high hopes and excitement for their services based on previous reviews, and was incredibly disappointed with the way they do business. They are very shady with contracts, and seems they will skew their words to ensure they are not violating their own contract. See the other one star reviews, it was a similar experience. Aside from that, Kaity who did my makeup was absolutely incredible. I started with wanting "natural but amp-ed up" and then realized I liked a lot more glam. She listened and provided advice, gave me exactly like my inspiration, and the makeup lasted all day - even after a gym workout. If you are confident in your services and need no changes, this make-up is worth it.

We had to postpone our Wedding due to the pandemic which caused us to have to find a new venue. The minute I called Anne Marie she was ready to help. She helped us plan our new Wedding with only 2 months left till our day. She took our romantic, elegant vision we have had the past 2 years and made it come to life at her Chapel. What made our day even more special was that I got to say "I do" to my Groom in the same church my parents said "I do" 34 years ago and also the church I grew up going to with my parents and grandparents. We have been through so much with planning a wedding during a pandemic but the second we decided to change our Venue to Oakwood Chapel our anxiety and stress simply was gone because of the way we were treated by Anne Marie. Everything about our Wedding day was magical and would not have happened without Anne Marie and her team. We are forever grateful

This photographer is well established and is thus able to charge high rates. Personally I did not…read morelike his stylistic choices for the pictures he took at my sister's wedding. For example: he took photos of me and my sister, standing next to each other, with nobody else in the picture. He also took this same picture but with my other brothers instead of me. The problem is that people mistakenly think I am MARRIED TO MY SISTER. A good photographer should have the common sense to avoid taking blatantly misleading pictures. Overall, the workmanship is decent, but not a good value. I would recommend him for a photo-shoot or portraits, but not for events. Since then I have discovered "Deja Views" which is a unique alternative for celebrations because they are able to entertain the guests by displaying the photographs just moments after they are taken.
