Alexis and Roger were both incredible, informed us on the stories of each individual animal, were so personable and made it so special for us. The experience alone was amazing but it truly makes a difference when the people guiding you so obviously care and are there for the right reasons. The animals they have saved and taken in are all special in their own ways and will leave a mark on you. Their story and mission is inspiring. Called at 5 pm on a Saturday night to go bowling with some friends. I spoke on the phone with a…read morevery nice lady who said they had open bowl until midnight. At 7 pm, we walked all the way there. When we got inside we asked the guy to pay for open bowl. He told us no because there was a league playing. We told him that we had walked all the way there because the woman in the phone said they had open bowl. He said "I don't care, you clearly didn't talk on the phone with me did you?" We explained to him what the women said again and he was rude and told us no. We looked and 7 lanes were open. He told us to leave and come back at 9:30 if we wanted to bowl. He was very rude and followed us out of the building.

This is an incredible best kept secret kind of place. A beautiful working farm that hosts yoga…read moreretreats and classes. The food is the best communal food I have ever had anywhere and is mostly grown on the farm. Susan Orem and Lisa King the chefs create high vibration, nutrient dense, delicious food, meal after meal and it's so beautifully and lovingly presented. The grounds are like a well kept Eden, just the right balance of wild and cultivated. The buildings are all beautiful and unique. I stayed in the yoga house with 8 other friends and we could FEEL all the stories of this older building. The happy chickens foraging the grounds are friendly and fun. They host bonfires in evening and there is a pond to swim in which is wonderful to cool off in since there is no air conditioning. I enjoyed the best retreat I have ever been to on these grounds and would return in a heartbeat or book it for my own endeavors. Be aware the time line for arrival, meals and check out is real and you will be held to that but that is also basic courtesy. Behave with basic adult courtesy and punctuality and you will vastly enjoy your stay here.

The gym is usually very crowded, but it is less crowded than Noyes, and does not have Olympic lift platforms or exercise balls like Noyes or Teagle.
