The service (especially for something that is bulk billed) is outstanding. The only issue is that it is popular. On occasion you'll be in the waiting room for a while. So take a breath, sit back and watch the tv and wait. It is the best clinic in Hornsby.

This place is a joke…read more I'm someone who unfortunately has quite a bit of experience visiting ERs courtesy of a lot of bad sprains, broken bones, high fevers, fainting, etc. My visit to Sydney Adventist is my second worst yet, only behind Georgetown Hospital in Washington DC. I was sent to Adventist on the recommendation of a doctor at the site of my injury where I blew out my knee at the beach. I decided, sure I'll visit there, it's far but if I'm gonna pay I may as well go to the place with an orthopedist on staff who can see me. That orthopedist was one I never saw. Instead I saw a doctor for about 90 seconds and was diagnosed. I was told "I don't have x-ray vision but I think it's---" followed by my diagnosis. He said the only way to make sure of what it is (and thus determine exactly what I need to do) was to get an MRI yet he refused to order it. While the nurses were nice the fact that it took 3 hours to see a doctor who never introduced himself or mentioned his qualifications and definitely didn't care about my concerns as a patient, drives Sydney Adventist to a 1 star rating. But hey, they do validate parking if you visit the ER.

Dr Stephen Phillinger is a star in my book. He is a very understanding colorectal and general…read moresurgeon who takes time to explain procedures. He gives the pros and cons of a procedure and explains clearly how long it will take to recover. During my hospital visit he visited every day, even on the weekend. He does his procedures at the S.A.N so make sure you have medical health cover. His receptionist at his rooms is highly efficient and although blunt will explain what is covered and what is not by Medicare or a health fund. His rooms are situated at the Ryde Medical Centre. There is open parking outside the building. After the visit ,stop at the coffee shop to regathering yourself.
