Argyle Catering was hired by the Association of Black Scholars for their Dinner to Jazz event. The event had a low attendance to begin with, but when the caterers had arrived, more attendees had come and we're waiting for more than 15 minutes after the requested ready time. This was already fairly unreasonable considering the caterers had no attendees in their way or slowing them down. HOWEVER, this was not the issue. After the event, the caterers insisted they leave early without their equipment, and made the unusual demand that the leftover food be left in the containers they brought. They would not take the leftovers, and instead left the Association without any suggested action, saying they needed to figure out how to get the equipment back to Argyle themselves. FURTHERMORE, the business has now contacted the head of the Association via text message to make threats to bill them for the equipment, to berate them and tell them they need to "get your s*** together" after being told these communications issues were present. read more
