The…read moreshop was previously only open for wholesale but has recently been made accessible to the public. A cool feature is that behind the counter you can see the designers at work. The shop features some amazing pieces - all vintage style with funky designs - very unique and unlike anything I have seen before. They also have some great sale items such as a pair of vintage shoes down to £25 from around £60. They sell some gorgeous dresses and it is a shame the shop isn't more prominent. I guess the fashionistas of London are all aware that the true fashion gems are all hidden away behind the High Street giants, so I'm sure this shop won't stay undiscovered for too long!

The new clothes all look great too but I can't afford them. Not to say they're expensive but there were some super cute vintage things priced in the low to mid £20 range which is more in my ballpark and took the bulk of my attention. Although I didn't buy anything on that first trip, I recently returned determined to make one of those vintage dresses mine. I tried on three items from the vintage racks but nothing fit quite right. I was bummed. The staff was pleasant and helpful and I would love to buy something from this shop. I'm not sure how often they replenish their vintage items but I'll be checking in every once in a while for a fresh perusal.

Dreadful shopping centre full of the usual high street stores…read more Something has happened to the attitude of the centre staff here and they are no longer the friendly bunch of old. As we left we saw the security harassing 2 NHS workers that were simply sitting on the bench outside. They were told they could not sit there as it was Shopping Centre property....???! Very nasty will not be visiting here again, not even to visit the cinema even though it is our nearest 'mall'.

They claimed the loose thread that developed was my fault. No negotiation. No help. Even when I pointed out I was a loyal customer for years and years. All they are interested in is making money, not service. I won't be shopping there again.

Now it's reduced the range for women and added a small bit of menswear in store. Normally it's quite messy once you get past the front entry displays. The music is prohibitively loud. There are better stores at Southside, I feel.

How did I not notice this place existed until recently?? Huh…read more Putney Exchange is a rather nicely laid out little shopping centre on Putney High Street. The shops in it range from rather nice, standard mall fare (Gap, etc.) to the weird one-off local oddity. The Waitrose in it has flagship signage, but the strangest corner location I've ever seen in a grocery store. I've been in on a Sunday afternoon, so not everything was open, but it seems like a nice little spot to shop.

Old Hat is *the* place for vintage menswear / vintage men's suits. It's a great shop. My boyfriend…read morewas always moaning that East London and other vintage shops just don't have really high class, proper matching suits for *all* sizes (he's quite slim and not a big tall buff guy, if you know what I mean but not a whippet either), he always finds it hard to get fitted suits that are vintage. This place is now his mecca. The attire is proper gentlemen's clothes / suits and something a little more special than some of the trash in East London or the cheap nonsense in Central London. If you are a man and a fan of vintage clothes, this should be your first stop - these guys pride themselves on specialising on vintage suits and they really are the best I've found.

Especially good if you want to get things like Morning Suits or DJs. There is a lot of stock, so you may have to search for what you need. Go and have a browse around if you have a spare minute or two. They also do alterations. I still have the wedding outfit I got from there, and it has paid itself back many times now. Primark has the best in affordable clothing, though some people may not be ready to admit that they…read moreshop here. That's a real pity, because even though Primark is very cheap a lot of their clothing looks quite good and lasts a long time. All of their clothing is ethically-sourced, making it all that much more fashionable. This store is quite large and is situated in the heart of the Southside Shopping centre in Wandsworth. This means you could take the kids with you and convert disposable income into a clothing shopping spree for the whole family.
