I'll start with an overall mark 5 out of 5, great place. Compared to some Argos stores, the staff in this one are polite, they actually go out of their way to help you and most of them smile. I find that they have more items on display than other Argos stores & they are more willing to bring an item out for you for you to look at. Even when busy they are efficient, professional and speedy. But as with anywhere, any store or shop there will be 1 member of staff who hates their job & can turn the Argos buying experience into a chore.
Stock levels. Ok my personal gripe, I wanted two new bed pillows, expensive posh ones... They only had 1 pillow of each in stock. I bought 1, then waited a week for it to be restocked, then went bought the second, then decided they were lovely and wanted more, so had to wait another week for another pillow and so on. Just over 3 weeks it took me to buy 4 pillows. What is with only keeping 1 of any item in stock? Maybe it's Wales, I dunno ;)
Major downside is no parking. You can double park outside on yellow lines but whatever you do DO NOT PARK ON THE CARPARK AT THE SIDE. It's private, they clamp and then want £80. I suggest you park just across the main road in the back lane carpark.
They do have a habit of opening 5 mins late some mornings, usually the morning that I am there waiting for it to open. read more
